Chapter Text
Why were they whispering?
Bakugo waited and watched the hospital ground beneath his dangling feet, legs kicking back and forth to release some of the anger he felt.
He knew that it was about him, but why would they have to keep things a fucking secret? If it was something bad then why can’t they just grow a pair and tell him straight on? Were they gonna call the hag? It looked like it from the way Bakugo could barely catch one of the doctors mentioning “calling family” to a nurse.
Ugh. Bakugo hated these stupid hospitals. Especially this one. For some reason the whole thing was vacant save for the few doctors and nurses passing the halls. Bakugo thought that hospitals were supposed to be busy, not eerily silent. At least, the section of the hospital that he was in was like that.
When he was being brought to a car and had to walk through the hospital to get to the parking lot(to wear a disguise for some stupid fucking reason), he noticed how lively the other sections were.
“Hey Bakugo!”
The blond raised and eyebrow at that and nearly snarled when a tall redheaded alpha neared him.
“How the fuck do you know my name?”
The huge alpha looked confused at the information before something seemed to click in that dense head of his. “The doctors didn’t tell you?” He asked.
“Tell me? Tell me what? Those assholes didn’t tell me shit they just told me someone would pick me up to take me home! Not that I need the fuckin help.”
“That’s what I’m here for. Just get in the car and-”
“With you? Hard fucking pass.”
The guy sighed and leaned against the car. Bakugo noted that he wore a disguise of sorts too to hide key facial features. “Look. I’m a pro hero so-”
“Pro hero? Tch. Wannabe hero. If you were one then Deku would be muttering up a storm about you. Mentioning every detail his weird brain can document but I haven’t heard anything about a big obnoxious alpha with spiky red hair,” Bakugo rolled his eyes. Deku would definitely have notes about this guy the second he debuted. And Bakugo hadn’t heard the nerd muttering a description of a guy like this recently. This guy was definitely bluffing.
The guy looked like a lightbulb went off in his head, “Why didn’t I think of that-” he whispered under his breath before turning his attention to Bakugo. “Exactly! I can bring you to Izuku and he can tell you all about-”
Bakugo reached forward to grab the alpha’s shirt. He didn’t care how big he was or that the guy was a wall of muscle, he was going to get to the bottom of this. “Izuku? What’s a perv like you doing calling him that, hah? Don’t make me blast your fucking face off. How do you know where the fuck the nerd is?”
Bakugo could feel his own scent souring as he started his interrogation. He didn’t care if the other alpha was taller than him, he was gonna fucking kill him. Sure, Bakugo hated the nerd, but he couldn’t be called a hero if he didn’t help the useless nerd in a situation like this.
“I’m not! I’m Kirishima. I’m friends with him, friends with you! Look. You got hit with a de-aging quirk. Affected your body and mind apparently. Doctors are guessing middle school and they’re right since you don’t remember me. We met in high school. UA,” the guy, Kirishima, rambled.
“UA?” Bakugo squinted, “Yer sayin I’m a pro hero when I’m older?”
“Yeah! We’re hero partners,” Kirishima assured.
Hearing what he wanted to hear, Bakugo’s grip loosened, but it was still there because he didn’t get all of his answers just yet. “And Deku? Why do you know him?”
“He’s one of the top support heroes! He helps me with costume upgrades and stuff,” Kirishima went on.
“Tch,” Bakugo let go of him, “I won’t believe it till I see it.” The blond made his way around the car to the passengers seat, barely seeing Kirishima scrambling to get into the driver’s side out of the corner of his eye.
“Okay, well I…” Kirishima paused and Bakugo peered at him from over the car.
“What now?” He hissed.
“Maybe it would be a better idea for you to come to my place and Uraraka can visit Izuku…”
“The fuck? First you say I can see him then you’re saying I can’t? I don’t wanna stay with you. Just let me go to my house.”
“Your parents are on business leave for a fashion event in Italy. They won’t be back and you getting to your house is the issue,” Kirishima huffed a sigh, “Maybe you should stay at my place.”
“And let Deku get a visit by this Uraraka person? If they can go why can’t I?”
“Because she’s his friend. Izuku…he’s a bit…vulnerable. Despite the doctors I think it would be best you don’t see him. I wouldn’t want him getting burns.”
Bakugo felt something settle in his stomach. Something that didn’t feel right. A sinking feeling that also duplicated and shot up to his throat, where an uncomfortable lump had settled. “He told you…?”
“About the bullying? Only when we found out. I don’t think he would willingly admit it otherwise,” Kirishima murmured and crouched to get in his car. He settled down and Bakugo took a moment to do the same and shut the car door. “I promise living with me won’t be bad. We can-”
“I wanna see him.”
Kirishima looked like he was backtracking, “What?”
“First you’re telling me that we can go see him but now you’re not. I don’t wanna fucking live with you. If you’re a pro hero like you say you are then you have a busy schedule and I probably have to be cooped up all day because of me being a pro when I’m older and because of the fucking quirk. And not to mention it sounds like Deku needs help anyways if someone has to ‘visit him.’ I guess I can fucking put up with his ass or whatever. It’s not anything new, I’ve been watching over him since fucking diapers. What’s a couple more days?”
Kirishima looked like he wanted to object, but one look right into Bakugo’s eyes had him caving in.
When they arrived at Deku’s home, Kirishima stopped him from getting out of the car right away to get into the nerd’s house. Because apparently it wasn’t Deku’s house. It was their house. Not only that, but he was mated AND married. Deku. And it didn’t stop at that. Future him and Deku didn’t stop at that. Because they were expecting kids. Right, kids as in plural. Triplets.
But it was fine, Bakugo thought. It was just dealing with Deku. For who knows how long. In a house. Their house. Together. Alone.
Fuck.
“Mgghh,” Midoriya groaned with an uncomfortable tone in his voice. The omega tried stuffing his face in the Dynamite plushie he was previously snuggling with in hopes he would fall back asleep.
Though another kick to his bladder made him wince as much as it made him need to pee more. He huffed out an irritated sigh before he started to brace himself to push off the bed. He almost lost his balance for a second but thankfully he caught himself.
He was barely halfway to the bathroom when his omega started whining for their alpha. It made Midoriya’s chest ache as well, tears being in his eyes when he finally did waddle his way to the bathroom. He held onto the sink and leaned his head over it.
“Kacchan…I miss you,” Midoriya murmured to himself. He always got so emotional now. Stupid hormones. It was like without his alpha he was just a ball of emotions that was held together by a very thin string.
The string always wore out so quickly whenever Kacchan was away at work. Today he had a longer shift and the only time Midoriya was likely to see him was during the alpha’s lunch break.
Not even a couple minutes passed by had he heard something or someone in the house. He was only in the middle of washing his hands, but his first instinct was to call Kacchan. The little murmurs of people talking made Midoriya feel anxious and his heart dropped.
The intruder must’ve smelled it in his scent, because soon enough the omega heard a knock at the bathroom door.
“Izuku? You alright in there?”
Midoriya let out a sigh of relief, drying his hands on the towel before he clicked the bathroom door open. One of his hands was on his belly and the other was used to open the door. Though soon enough both of them were on the redhead that looked down at him with concern. The omega started pounding his fists against his friend’s chest, tears welling in his eyes.
“You scared me!” He accused, “You’re so mean.” There was a little bit of anger behind his words, but overall he was a little weak to put all of his strength into being angry.
“I’m sorry. It’s just that-”
Midoriya cut the alpha off and pushed himself away from him, smelling a familiar scent of melted caramel and freshly picked apples. The omega was quick as he waddled hastily to the source of what he only knew as Kacchan. He couldn’t help but notice it was a bit off than usual. Midoriya noted that the scent was purely Kacchan’s. His scent wasn’t anywhere on the alpha. Maybe he didn’t scent him right this morning…?
“Kacchan!” Midoriya called out as he neared the living room. He wanted to melt into his alpha, never stopping to think how or why he was even at the house during his patrol. He wanted to curl into the blond’s chest, which Midoriya was apparently at perfect height level to have access to it. His Kacchan was very tall.
But this Kacchan…this one was short. He was shorter than Midoriya at this point. He wasn’t all too muscular or broad in his shoulders. It was as if they took the blond alpha and shrieked him down. …or brought him back in time. Because this Kacchan didn’t have any scarring on his face or arms like Midoriya remembered. Plus, this Kacchan looked at him funny.
“That’s not Kacchan…” Midoriya mumbled, sounding confused and upset.
“Hah? Of course I fucking am! Who else would I fucking be? His random ass doppelgänger?”
Midoriya heard Eijiro approaching from behind him and the omega turned to look to him for answers. Midoriya wasn’t sure if he should lean more towards Eijiro or Kacchan, so he just stuck to being in the middle. He held onto his belly in a protective manner as he glanced back and forth between the two.
“He got hit with a de-aging quirk. Brought him back to middle school. He didn’t know me but obviously he’s gonna know you. I was gonna have him stay at my place but he insisted I bring him to you,” Eijiro explained. He shrugged, “I guess he still has some of the same tendencies.”
“I’m just fucking here because Deku can’t-…because I’m not gonna stick around an obnoxious giant with shitty hair!” Midoriya noted the way that Kacchan stumbled over his words, like he wanted to quickly correct himself. “And what the fuck do you mean tendencies?”
Midoriya looked up and over at Eijiro who had his mask off and tucked under his chin as well as his glasses that he used for disguise purposes. The redhead gave a little smug grin, “Oh I dunno. Just coming up with random excuses to stay with Izuku.”
“They’re not excuses! It’s not like I wanna stay with- It’s not like I have a choice unless I wanna be bored out of my mind at your place!”
Midoriya watched the little scowl form on Kacchan’s face, and now that the omega realized it, he didn’t look the slightest bit intimidating compared to what he remembered in middle school. The little bit of chub on his cheeks made it impossible to think he was. The small alpha just looked like he was pouting.
Midoriya snorted out a little giggle that had the blond looking at him as well as Eijiro.
A moment passed before the redhead stared to talk again, “Uh Izuku…?”
“Sorry,” Midoriya gathered himself before he looked to the small alpha and smiled, “Kacchan is just being cute that’s all.”
“Cute?! I’ll show you fucking cute,” with that, Kacchan started to stomp his way over.
Eijiro stepped in front of him before Kacchan could get near Midoriya. The omega heard a low, intimidating growl cone from the redhead, “You’re not staying here if all you’re gonna want to do is bully him. Do NOT lay a hand on him or else I guarantee that hand will be gone by either my doing or his other friends.”
Midoriya had since stepped to the side a little to get a glance at Kacchan, seeing the shocked look on his face as well as studying his body language.
“I’ll take him to my place. I’m sorry Izuku but-”
“No,” the omega started, going and pushing one of Eijiro’s outstretched arms down to get to Kacchan. “Kacchan can stay,” Midoriya hesitantly walked up to the small alpha and reached his hand out. He made his move and cupped the left side of his face with his right hand, fingers moving gently to rub at a spot on the side of his head that Midoriya knew would make him melt every time.
And with some resistance, Kacchan did eventually cave a little, going from tense to seemingly tolerating the action.
“I know my Kacchan won’t hurt me,” Midoriya smiled softly. He took note of the dilation effect his words had on the small alpha. The only reason he noticed that Kacchan wasn’t actually going to hurt him was because his explosions didn’t crackle in his palms. If he were going in for an attack, his palms would’ve crackled. If he was going in for a hit, he would have planted and positioned his feet for a stance beneficial for his leading right hook. But he never did. He was just approaching Midoriya.
“Are you sure? I can call Uraraka or Shoto up to see if they can-”
“It’s fine, Eijiro,” Midoriya replied calmly, his inner omega so happy at his little alpha being home. “You can go back to patrols. They need you. If you’re really concerned then you can just message me.”
The redhead paused before nodding slowly. “Ooohhkay….” Eijiro replied slowly, as if he didn’t believe it. “Just give me a call. Tell Uraraka to stop by later. She’s off- Or maybe Iida he’ll-”
“Eijiro. I’m fine. The people need Red Riot. And they need him twice as much to pick up Dynamite’s slack,” Midoriya glanced at him from the corner of his eye. He was mostly trying to occupy Kacchan with rubbing at the same spot while also using his other hand to comb through his hair.
“I do mean what I said though Bakugo. If anyone notices anything off about Izuku-”
“Eijiro.” Midoriya said sharply.
“Sorry dude it’s kind of hard not to when you’re- you know,” the alpha looked him up and down. “You know how it is for alphas…”
“I know. Which is why I’ll be perfectly fine with Kacchan,” Midoriya replied.
With a little more convincing, Midoriya was able to shoo Eijiro away and out of their apartment. He did notice the little scowl Kacchan made when Midoriya pulled his hands away from him to walk Eijiro out.
They said their goodbyes and soon enough the door shut and the apartment went silent.
Midoriya turned to Kacchan, who was standing in the middle of the living room awkwardly. The omega but beamed at him and made his way over to the kitchen.
“Are you hungry Kacchan?” He asked as he went to look for some pots and pans in the cabinets. “I can make some of your spicy curry if you want. Or I can make something else if you want.”
“Or you can go sit the fuck down.” Kacchan’s voice was behind him and still approaching. Midoriya stood upright and turned to look down slightly at the short alpha.
He looked on in confusion with a tilt of his head. “If you weren’t hungry you could’ve said so,” Midoriya mumbled, turning back to the cabinets.
“I didn’t say I wasn’t. What are you doing?” Midoriya didn’t reply but Kacchan squeezing his way between him and the cabinets made the omega pause for a second. “Go. Lay down. I don’t need to deal with you if you end up falling or some shit,” Kacchan explained. The blond wouldn’t look at him when he said that and Midoriya smiled a little when he saw a little pink on the back of his neck.
Kacchan was embarrassed.
“No Kacchan. I’m responsible for you now. You shouldn’t have to do anything. I’m the adult right now. So-”
“Why are you like this?”
Midoriya trailed off and forgot about teasing the alpha. “…like what?” He asked softly, “I’m sorry if I made you upset, Kacchan.” He went to reach out for a small side hug but the alpha avoided his touch.
“You’re talking about me like I’m this future me. This future me that built this life with you. This future me who probably has his shit together. You’re calling me yours when I’m not. Future me is. I’m not him, so how are you so sure that I won’t do anything bad to you? Don’t you remember what I did…?” Kacchan’s voice sounded vulnerable, like he was close to crying.
“Oh Kacchan…” Midoriya murmured. He gently took the smaller’s arms and slid his hands down them until their hands were interlocked. He rubbed the other’s hands with his thumbs. “Because you’ll always be my Kacchan. No matter what you look like, what you do, what you say, what you’ve done in the past, you’re always my Kacchan. The one who does his best and strives for victory, always. The one who I will love even if you don’t love me back. The one I will love to love you for you when you can’t.”
A small sniffle came from the alpha and Midoriya was quick to thumb away his tears.
“But I’m so shitty to you…”
“I know why. I know you don’t mean it. You told me yourself. You’re just scared of change. You’re scared to change. You know what you do is wrong. You’re scared to think about what everyone will say. But just know that I’ll be there every step of the way, alright Kacchan?”
The blond closed his eyes and gave a quick nod.
They were there for a good minute before Midoriya smiled, “That’s my Kacchan.” He messed with his hair a little before he turned to the cabinet with the pots and pans again. “Now go sit down and watch TV while I make the food.”
“Fuck no! You’re not gonna catch me off guard just from that!” The blond retorted as he wiped the last of his tears, “Go sit down!”
