Work Text:

Izuku Midoriya is an odd child, that is what most people who have met him say. Ever since he was 4 people have known that he wasn’t like other kids. His quirk manifested later than most and out of the blue, having cut his hand on a sharp rock attempting to save his falling friend, one Katsuki Bakugou. Upon seeing his friend was also injured Izuku rushed over to him, grabbing Katsuki with his injured hand. The blood that had been pouring out has spilt onto the blond, healing him completely.

Of course no good deed goes unpunished, and even though they had only good intentions, the other children saw differently. They all called him a freak of nature, calling him names and running away, even the one who he had helped punched Izuku and hurled insults at him. None of that mattered to the young boy, all he could think about was how he had a power that could help people, how he could become a hero.

The years went by in a flash, Izuku trained his quirk diligently, healing all types of wounds on the animals that frequented the park that he went to. Training at the local gym once he was old enough for the weight lifting to not affect his growth. Izuku even took up some judo and aikido, however he had to stop due to the cost adding up overtime, considering his mother was the only source of income, which spelled bad news for the family of two.

Izuku never got to use his quirk on another human, due to everyone he met being scared of the blood aspect of his healing quirk. People fear what they do not understand, seeing something that is meant to signify being hurt or injured, healing another living being scared the daylights out of them. Causing everyone but his mother to call him names and be disgusted by his very presence. Well that is until that life changing first day of middle school, one that Izuku would fondly remember for the rest of his life.

Izuku had just entered his new school for the first time, frantically trying to find his homeroom, the crowd of other new students did not help him at all. Someone bumped into him from behind knocking both of them down to the floor, books flying everywhere. “Sorry, I didn’t see you there.” The blond haired girl muttered out, shrinking in on herself while trying to gather her fallen books.

“Want some help?” Izuku said as he leaned down to gather some of the girl’s books, only to notice that she was bleeding from her knee, most likely an injury from falling down. Acting quickly Izuku pokes himself to draw blood from his palm, “alright please don’t freak out at what I'm about to do.” He says as his palm makes contact with the wound, healing it completely.

The girl didn't say anything, she just watched Izuku use his blood to heal himself as he finished collecting her books. She had a certain gleam in her eyes, like a predator who had just located its prey, and what a cute prey they were. Before she could say anything the warning bell rang out through the halls signifying that those who were not in their classrooms were late. This startled her out of her trance as well as causing Izuku to hand her books over. “Well that's the bell, hope I get to see you again!”

Izuku had just managed to get to his class on time, only to stop in the doorway as he saw the one person he wished wasn’t in his class. Katsuki ``Kacchan'' Bakugou sat in the second to last row’s window seat, right in front of the only open seat. Groaning to himself at the unfortunate turn of events that led to his predicament, Izuku went to sit down, only for his tormenter to hold out his leg and trip him. The whole class laughs at the boy as the teacher begins the lesson, ‘At least this day can’t get any worse’ Izuku thinks as he finally sits down and begins his first day of middle school.

The day only got worse for our green haired protagonist, as more people found out about his quirk and bullied him while the teachers did nothing. Some like the science teacher even get in on the action, calling him a “failure” of a human being, however Izuku takes it in stride like the cinnamon roll he is. Not rising to any of their taunts, biting his tongue knowing that he would only be the one in the wrong should he lash out. One blond haired girl thinks differently than the rest of his peers, for the whole day he is the only thing that she could think about, or more specifically his blood.

How warm it felt on her skin, how his blood had looked incredibly scrumptious, Izuku’s kind words and actions also flooded her mind. Having been tormented her whole life for her quirk, she saw Izuku as one who could understand her, someone who she could finally become true friends with. By the end of the day the blond haired student was determined to see him again, to befriend the cute boy, and if she happened to get some blood out of the whole ordeal then that would be a bonus.

The resident cinnamon roll ran as quickly as he could, hoping that something would save him from what was about to happen. As soon as school ended his bully had decided that Izuku needed a reminder of what his place in society should be, chasing him across school while yelling profanities. Despite knowing that he could very well hold his own against the blond bomber, Izuku also knew that all the blame would just end up on him, so he decided to just keep running. Just as Izuku was about to turn the corner into another hall, a hand shot out of a classroom and dragged him into it, locking the door behind him.

“Hey there Izuku-kun, what brings you here? What luck that I happened to run into you here!” The blond haired girl that he had met in the morning shouted out whilst pinning him to the wall. “Mmm, I got a favor to ask you, don’t worry it isn't anything too demanding,” something in Izuku compared his predicament to tiger hunting a bunny. Almost on instinct the boy tried making himself look smaller, afraid of what was about to happen as the girl pushed herself onto him, gazing into his eyes.

“W-What do you need exactly? W-Wait, what even is your name, oh please don't tell me you're going to mug me!” All the girl did was give an admittedly cute giggle at his words, causing him to panic even more.

“The names Toga, Toga Himiko but you can call me Toga-chan, anyways I’m not going to mug you or anything, all I need is your blood!” With that she chomped onto his neck, drawing blood and proceeded to drink to her heart’s content. Izuku let out a little moan, surprising himself and the girl as she continued to drink his blood all the while still holding him against the wall. Considering that he had little to no experience with girls prior to this encounter, it should come as a surprise to no one that he proceeded to faint.

****************One hour later****************

Izuku awoke with a headache, his mind was foggy and could not form coherent thoughts, however out of the corner of his eye he could see a shadow, shaking and hunched over. Against all rational thought Izuku limped towards the shadow, his delirious mind curious to what it was, not caring for his own well being. “Hello?” He said quietly to the still shaking form of the now recognizable Toga, who he remembered had bitten him and sucked his blood.

“Don’t touch me!” Toga screamed, fearing that she would act out again and hurt him further, not wanting to cause harm to the nice boy who had shown her nothing but kindness. She tried to move further away from him, only to feel two arms envelop her in a hug, the first hug she had experienced since she was four. Subcounsciously Toga hugged back, leaning into the warm embrace of the stranger who she had only just met that morning. All she could do was start to cry, letting all her emotions out for the first time in years, babbling on about how sorry and thankful she was.

“There, there, it’ll be alright now, I am here to help!” Patting her back while she was still hugging him, not even caring about the state of dress that they were in. He had gotten down on his knees and hugged her from behind, not letting go no matter how much she struggled. Something that she would tease him for the rest of his life, well that was future Izuku’s problem. Present Izuku’s main priority was helping the cute girl in front of him.

“Why?” The girl muttered out..

“Hmm?”

“Why are you being so nice to me? After everything I did to you? You should hate me, be creeped out by me, and most of all you should be angry with me!” Toga responded through her sobs, still unable to control her tears. “I hurt you and drank your blood, you shouldn’t be hugging me and trying to make me feel better!” She screamed, trying to see if there were any ulterior motives behind his actions. Deep down she refused to believe someone could actually care for her well being

“I believe that you have a reason for needing to drink my blood? I’m guessing you have a blood quirk, considering that you drank my blood and all. Besides, I can’t in good conscience leave a pretty girl crying here in an empty classroom now can I?” Izuku gives her the cheesiest grin that he can muster, causing her to laugh.

“Oh my god, that is the worst attempt at a grin that I have ever seen in my life, and that line, I can’t! Hehehe.” Toga giggled herself silly, her giggles brought a smile to the hero otaku’s face. Only for him to realize just how dark it was getting outside, realizing that his mom was waiting for him at home, he started to stand up.

“I’m sorry to ruin the moment like this, but what time is it? My mom is expecting me to be home before five and if I’m late then she will worry.” Izuku begins to mutter to himself in a panic, not wishing to cause his mother any more stress than absolutely necessary.

‘Cute,’ all Toga could do was sit there, mesmerized as Izuku cutely muttered up a storm, the dried blood on his neck catching her attention even more. ‘No, get a hold of yourself girl, you can day dream about Izuku later.’ Slapping her cheeks with her palms, Toga proceeds to look at her phone and find the time, realizing that they had indeed spent three hours in the classroom. “It's five pm right now Izu-kun.”

“Izu-kun?” Izuku responded with a blush.

“Yeah, it's your new nickname! That’s what friends do right? We are friends now right?” Toga asks him, looking like a shy puppy.

‘Cute,’ now it's Izuku’s turn to be mesmerized as his blush deepens from the look Toga is throwing at him. “Y-yeah we are friends now, anyways sorry to do this but I have to go, or else I will be late getting home.” However he could not bring himself to leave her alone, the expression on her face had fallen and her shoulders had slumped down upon hearing that he was leaving. Sensing that something was amiss, Izuku stepped towards Toga once more.

“No need to worry about me. Don’t worry I gotta get home as well, so I’ll see you tomorrow! “ Toga said with a faux grin on her face, hoping to make him not worry about her. Only for the cinnamon roll to once again pull her into a hug.

“Is everything alright at home?” The whisper was barely audible, his warm breath causing her to let out a shiver.

“How did you know?” She began shaking once more, whether in fear or out of being nervous was not clear.

“Call it a hunch from one blood quirk user to another, I’ve read online about how other people like us are mistreated.” All Toga could do was look away from him, further solidifying his suspicions of her home life. “Considering the state that you're in, and the fact that you look like you haven't had a good meal in a while, I think I can guess some of what you have gone through.”

“I have nowhere else to go, don’t worry though I’m used to it.” Her meek voice broke his heart into pieces, not knowing what else to do Izuku made up his mind.

“Wanna come and sleep over at my house? I’m sure my mom wouldn’t mind meeting my first friend in a while! Plus she can convince your parents to let you.”

“Really?” Toga once again allowed herself to hope, this time the feeling was far greater than she had ever experienced in her life.

“Yeah, come on, let's go.” With that he grabbed onto her hand, draggin her through the door and into a new chapter of both their lives.

****************Five years later****************

Izuku approached his home late at night, tired from having just done a ten hour shift as the pro hero Deku, Himiko had texted him that she had a surprise waiting for him when he got home. Considering that teasing was a part of her nature, this did not surprise him at all. ‘Come to think of it, it's almost been five years since that day, hasn’t it.’ Izuku mused to himself as he finished taking out his key and entering the apartment that he shared with his fiance.

“Himi-chan I’m home!” As he walked into his home, two things became apparent, his fiance was busy in the kitchen preparing what smelled like katsudon, and she was apparently in a great mood as she hummed whilst she cooked.

“Izu darling! Go get changed out of your costume. I'm making your favorite tonight, oh and while you're changing I left a surprise on the bed!” With that she once again focused on cooking the food, however had Izuku paid a little more attention then he would have seen the smug smirk on her face and mischievous look in her eyes.

‘Huh wonder what's gotten into her?’ The hero thought as he walked into the bedroom and noticed a small gift wrapped box on the bed. “This must be what she was talking about, well here goes nothing.” Upon opening said box a small, white, plastic item with two lines in the middle fell out. His eyes went wide, staring at the positive pregnancy test that his fiance had left on their shared bed, without missing a beat Izuku bolted out to the kitchen once more.

Said fiance had only just finished plating the food when she heard a loud bang coming from their shared bedroom. Then a green blur shot out of it seconds later, aiming right at her. “Sounds like you enjoyed your surprise mister.” She was cut short when Izuku proceeded to hug and kiss the life out of her.

“It’s true then, I’m going to be a father?” Izuku was very much so over the moon at the revelation that his fiance was pregnant with his child. Her nod further improved his joy, the hero proceeded to continue his previous actions of hugging and kissing his fiance.

“Now what my hero?”

“Now? We get married and have a wonderful life, my little vampire.” Just like that, the two once out casts finally found their happy ending together.
