"Haruna chan! Come to the-you-know-where-place ! I have something to show you!"
A text from kurumi. Some time ago, it might have been surprising to haruna. But she was getting used to it. She'd often call her to the base for no reason in particular.
That said, considering the phrasing, this time it seemed quite important. Maybe she is done with the thing I asked her to do some days ago!
With that thought in mind, haruna rushed through the corridors of arisugawa academy, in the direction of their secret meeting place.
She was excited to see how things had turned out.
Upon reaching the place, she knocked a pattern that served as a password to open the door. Sure enough, the door was now open.
She quietly stepped in, being greeted by a small figure, who looked extremely proud of her newest work.
"Haruna chan! You were quick." She said as she played with her gracious mustache.
"Of course, professor kurumi. I couldn't be late. The fate of the world could depend on it."
"Hoho, I like your energy! You definitely are more than worthy to be my disciple." She delicately took something off the table and handed it to haruna. "There, as you guessed it, I called you here because I am happy to announce that!" She intentionally let a dramatic pause. "I have finished repairing your precious glasses!"
Haruna was staring at the glasses in kurumi's hands, amazed by how great they looked. She was almost scared to put them on, not knowing what the several flashing lights and gadgets engraved on it were for.
She took a deep breath and finally raised them, putting them in their rightful throne.
"Thank you very much! Did you change something about them?"
"I'm glad you asked! Not only are they now way stronger, in order to avoid destroying them, like last time, I also added new functionalities. Your laser beam now has a better range, I added a rocket launcher, and even…!" Another dramatic pause. "A meteorite can fall on your enemies whenever you'd like by pressing this button!" She pointed to a scary red button.
"T-that's incredible! The evil monsters won't be able to do anything bad to the world thanks to these!"
"Hoho! Thank you for the praise! We truly are the greatest duo there ever was! With your strictness and my inventivity, no one can stop us! We'll protect the world!"
They joined their hands in a high five. It looks like, thanks to these two secret super heroes, the world would be safe for some time. But what hardship will they face next…And are the glasses really safe to use…?
"To be continued!" Kurumi said, proudly closing her little note book that contained the script. "This is a great idea, isn't it, haruna chan?! The audience is gonna love this play!"
Haruna did not seem to agree.
"...what the fuck, kurumi-san."
