MID RIM , WAYLAND, IMPERIAL FACILITY
...
Tie Fighters roared as they were beginning to land on one of the docking bays. Along with an Imperial, Lambda Class, Shuttle that they were transporting to the facility. Within the shuttle carried four Shock troopers, two imperial pilots, and one Admiral Tarkin.
It has been merely three years since the rain on Kamino. Destroying any cloning technology, as well as preventing further cloning process. As the success of Project - War Mantle proved that volunteers would make better candidates for the future of thus Empire.
However, was destroying the Kaminoans cloning facility really necessary? That thought lingers around Tarrkin. Even though he gave the order and was delighted that it was carried out without any incidents he still thought that maybe it was a mistake. Not simply because he felt a hint of sympathy though due to the fact that he believed it could've benefited the Empire in many ways. However Tarkin discovered something interesting. Something that can bring their Empire higher than they can possibly imagine.
"Sir," the Imperial pilot said," we are arriving at the Wayland facility. We should be docking shortly."
"Excellent," Tarkin replied, "I'm looking forward to sharing our findings.
The Imperial Shuttle proceeded to land in one of the docking bays. As it slowly descends onto the platform Tarkin, along with his shock troopers proceeded to make their entrance. The hatch opens up as they marched down and into the presence of the head scientist, Dr. Leena Vicmar.
"Welcome, Admiral Tarkin, it is an honor to have you here," Dr. Vicmar greeted.
The honor is all mine," Tarkin replied
...
Dr. Leena and Tarkin made their way down a hall. Passing them were several other researchers minding their own business. Some even had the time to solute Tarkin as they passed by which never impressed him in any way way he had that stern look on his face as he continued to follow Dr. Leena.
"How long would you be staying," she questioned while looking ahead.
"Not for long," Tarkin answered, "I simply came here to question one of your researchers."
Leena smirked as they came to a door. "Are you referring to the Kaminoan," She theorized as she hit a few buttons on the panel with one arm behind her back.
"If you mean Nala Se then you are correct Doctor," Tarkin said, "higher intelligence has discovered something rather "interesting" and I was hoping she would confirm these subtle accusations." The door slid open which lead them to a testing room. As tubes of specimens filled the rooms that showcased what appeared to be organisms mixed to form some "new form" of species. It grossed Tarkin a bit. He had known about Nala Se's tests/experiments, however, he never saw them up close with his human eye.
"After the destruction of Kamino, she has become rather distant towards us," Leena said as she stopped in front of a de indoor window. That view was an ing r oom which Se was seen carrying human organs. Tarkin came to witness what appeared to be a clone strapped to a table. His skin was all pale as his bones pierced through his skin. It was horrific, and ma Tarkin want to gag at the site. However, managed to shove it down.
"She experiments on clones," Tarkin questioned.
"After Captain Howzer's little uprising on Ryloth the Empire simply had no use to make them prisoners, " Leena answered, "so instead we insisted on taking those traitors and bringing them back to their maker."
Tarkin and Leena watched Nala Se as she grabbed a scapple off the counter and was about to open the clone's heads open. " How long you recommend she'll take," Tarkin asked impatiently.
"Not for very long, " Lenna said as she tapped the glass profusely. Which caught Nala Se's attention as she looked up to find Lenna standing with Admiral Tarkin by her side. She was surprised to see him here. And belied the only reason he would come to ask her bmveryersonal questions.
...
After she cleaned off all the blood and bits of flesh she made her way back into the testing tubes to find both Tarkin and Lenna waiting for her arrival. "Adirmal Tarkin, I'm very surprised to see you," Nala Se said in a soft tone.
"Indeed, it has been a while now has it," Tarkin replied.
"I assume your trip won't be for very long now," Nala Se said.
"Just came here in hopes of some enlightenment," Tarkin said while walking around the room looking at each experiment she has conducted over the past three Yeats or so. "You've been busy, I see," Tarkin said.
"It has been difficult in adjusting to a new environment," she said while she watches Tarkin admiring her work.
"Last time we met I seen you were with a child on Kamino. Am I not correct," Tarkin said looking back to face Nala Se
"Correct," she said hoping for Tarkin to not ask further.
"My higher arks have spoken to another one of your kind, " he said, "I believe his name was Lama Su." As Tarkin said that name, Nala Se almost jumped. She knew that Lama Su knew about Omega and rarely cared for the child as he only sees her as property. "He has given us some much valuable information about the child you were with on that day. And who is now roaming somewhere in the galaxy with those dreaded clones of yours," Tarkin said?
Nala Se was shocked that out of all people, Tarkin is the one to know about Omega. They made sure to keep all data on her away from the Empire. However, they managed to grain it. Probably by force, she wouldn't be surprised if they did so. Tarkin then walked past Nala Se as he turned his back to her dramatically.
"So there is no need to lie if that's what it takes to keep the child at bay for you, "Tarkin threatened, "so please tell me, why you and Lama Su were very interested in this girl? Nala Se didn't know what to do. Though with Tarkin already knowing who Omega is she had nothing to hide now.
"The child your referring to is called Omega. She was breaded through the original template for all the clones, Jango Fett. However, unlike the rest, she will age normally, as she is an unaltered clone of Jango. And will develop higher intelligence as she moves on through life." Nala Se explained in a sad tone as she felt she had betrayed Omega. Leena looks interested in this "Omega" she spoke about.
"I see, however you failed to answer my question," Tarkin pushed, "Why were you interested in her in the first place?" Nala Se was hesitating so hard. She already told them about her genetic material. So explaining how valuable she truly is where she crosses the line. As Tarkin furiously glares at her she remains Silent. Though Tarkin was becoming impatient and did not enjoy the silence he was receiving.
"Very well then," Tarkin said as she slowly walks to the door. As he was about a few inches away he called out to his troops, "Once you destroyed the lab terminate her as well." The troops nod at Tarkin and each other. They held their blasters, DC-15 S / A's, towards her research. Nala Se tried to prevent herself from telling the truth, though the fear of being terminated won the battle.
"Wait," She called out to Tarkin taking a few steps as she extended her arm out in desperation. Tarkin lifted his hand to signal the troopers to hold their fire. As he wishes to hear what she has to say. "During the uprising of the Empire, Lama Su feared the cloning process might be "obsolete" due to your recent actions of terminating our contract. To make sure the future of our clones is kept alive we needed a sample of their source of them. And Omega happened to be the key." Nala Se explained. The room was left in silence. Tarkin kept his back as he begins to process what he had learned.
"Are you saying that if we manage to get a sample of her DNA we can reset the whole cloning process," Leena said as she slowly makes her way to Nala Se's line of sight?
"Yes," Nala hesitantly. Leena looked delighted. The thought of building their clone army was the only thing that clouded her mind.
"Admiral," Leena said, "do you realize how much this will benefit our status? In securing peace to the galaxy." Tarkin continued to stay silent.
"Yes, for now, it is only a fantasy," Tarkin replied "Captain, please escort me back to my ship. We'll be departing back to Coruscant."
"Yes sir, right away," the shock trooper responded as he and three others began to exit the room while guarding Tarkin against all sides.
"One last thing from you Nala Se. How many clones are genetically bread," Tarkan asked curiously as he waited for her immediate response.
"Omega is the only one left of her kind," she lied. Hoping it would satisfy Tarkin's need for knowledge.
Tarkin continued to stay in the doorway. Seeming to by Nala Se's lie in thinking Omega is the last Jango Fett clone. "Thank you for your time, Nala Se," he said, "you'll be reunited with your clone soon enough." Nala Se felt rage build up inside of her. He expected her to harm the one clone she felt an emotional connection with. If she would have known she would have just told him the rest of the truth in hopes of driving them away from Omega. Though all she can do now is watch, listen, and hope none of these filthy Imperials would lay a single hand on her.
...
Tarkin was back in the Imperial Shuttle as it took off getting ready for hyperspace But before they can go he had to make one last important call. One of the shock troopers pulled out their holoprojector and placed it in front of the Tarkin. As they waited a silhouette of a figure appeared in front of them. For Rampart came into view.
"Admiral Tarkin," Rampart greeted, "I assume you have something to gift me."
"Your theory, Vice Admiral, turned out to be quite possible," Tarkin replied, "IF we do manage to capture this clone she will ensure our future."
"I've crossed these clones before Admiral. Several times throughout the years. Even one of their own is assisting us in hunting them down. And I can give you what you want. All I ask is your permission," Rampart pleaded. Tarkin, meanwhile, was thinking heavily if he should give his blessing to Rampart. If he does manage to capture Omega, they will have an unlimited supply of soldiers without any cost. With that Tarkin made his final choice.
"I will allow you to secure this child by any means necessary," Tarkin said, "however if you fail, Vice Admiral, there will be major consequences placed on YOUR hands. Do I make myself clear?."
"I'll take full responsibility Admiral, you have my word," Rampart agreed.
"What will you make of this action," Tarkin asked.
"Project - Mark Omega," he answered with an grin stretched across his face.
