Chapter Text
"Alright Pete.. do you have everything packed? You are staying for a month, and I hope your safe and ok. Also, your boxe-" Aunt May started, but her mouth shut the moment Peter flared with a shocked, tomato face.
"Aunt May! I'll be ok, don't worry. Just like you said, it's just for a month. I'll be alright." Peter tilted his head towards her, smiling. "Hmm, fine. But I'm having the others watch you. Who knows what trouble you get into these days." Aunt May scolded him sternly, placing her hands onto her hips. She then helped Peter up from his bed, as he held his elephant-plush close. Aunt May pecked him on the forehead, as he hugged her tightly. "Oh god, your growing up to fast. I love you, Petey Poo." Aunt May laughed lightly, tears forming in her eyes.
"Oh my - Aunt May don't cry! It's just for a month." Peter reassured her, as he held her tighter. Aunt May sniffled in his hair, before dragging his suitcase from behind him. Peter gave her one last hug, before walking off, his plush still in his hand before waving goodbye. "Peter your suit case!" Aunt May yelled, before he came rushing past, laughing strangely as he grabbed the suit case, running off to the car.
-
"Is that Sir Trumpets?" Miles giggled, as Peter nodded faithfully. "Yeah. My parents gave him to me before passing. He's a prized treasure I couldn't leave behind."
"Hm. Makes sense. I brought my cat plush from my younger sister." Miles placed his head onto Peter's shoulder. "Your the best little brother anyone can ask for." Miles chuckled, as they both were being carried off to the Airport. "I'm older than you, what do you mean?" Peter laughed.
"I mean that I'm older than you, when I want to be. Sometimes I'll be the younger brother, but this entire trip, your the little one. Aunt May told all of us to keep you safe, so." Miles shrugged against Peter, whose eyes fluttered sleepily. "'M tired. It's what.. 4:37.." Peter yawned. Miles smiled, before running his hands through Pete's hair. "We'll arrive around 78 minutes. Rest lil dude." Miles smirked. "Just cause your taller than me doesn't mean your older, mk?"
"Whatever." Peter responded, as he fell asleep soundly. Just then, the car door opened, as 3 people slid in with the duo. "Oh my goodness, you guys--" Anya stated, "oh." They all stared as Peter hugged his elephant, snoozing soundly. "Aw." Harry smiled, before taking the teen into his hands, and held him close. "You guys are totally dating." Miles cooed, before being swatted in the head by Harry. "Oh shut up. You and Anya are dating too!" Harry hissed, as Peter curled in on his chest. "You both are gonna wake up Peter." Gwen snapped, as Peter thwipped all of their mouths shut. "You guys already did." Peter barked, as he leaned off of Harry, and frowned at them all. "What a way to get my attitude going, huh?" He snarled, pulling his hood up.
-
The group arrived at the airport, still tasting spider webs in their mouth. "Thanks a lot Peter. I just brushed my teeth!" Miles cried out, as he got the last bit of web out of his tooth. "It's harmless. And you guys should know my temper whenever I wake up." Peter answered sleepily. "Harry can you carry me?" Peter whined, as Harry crouched down, Peter jumping atop of him. "Your like a baby, you know that?" Harry scoffed playfully, as he stood up, carrying a Peter onto his back. "'M your baby?" Peter laughed. Harry huffed. "Your lucky I even give you piggy back rides."
"You spoil him to much." Anya giggled, making Miles roll his eyes. "Well, who wouldn't? He's the best." Harry whispered to her. "I guess. His last birthday was filled to the brim with science. He never smiled so much in life." Miles whispered alongside with them. "Mhm, I also remember his New Year's party. Who knew he could get so scary upside down?" Gwen shuddered, as they nodded wearily.
"I can hear you guys, you know." Peter muffled onto the back of Harry. "But are we wrong?" Harry asked him. "No." Peter responded.
"Well here we are, we arrived. And what do ya know, we got here at the right time. People are already boarding the plane." Gwen chuckled. "Peter, you gotta get down now." Harry told the teen, but all he heard was a muffled 'no'. "Atleast we all got the same shared seats." Anya told the group. "Yeah, now c'mon!" Harry told them, as they rushed to the line, thankfully making it on time. The group followed everyone in, getting weird stares by other people but they didn't care. "4 seats." Miles frowned, as he sat near the window, then Anya, next Gwen. Harry carefully removed Peter from his back, as he moved him around and then sat down, as Peter cured onto his lap. "See, there? Problem solved." Harry smiled, as he buckled himself and Peter in. Gwen and Anya followed suite, as Miles had already buckled earlier.
"Hello everyone, thank you for taking Alta Flights. Please buckle yourselves in as directed, and enjoy your nice evening, heading back to Atlanta. Or too." The flight attendant called from the speakers, as the plane slowly started to move, now driving to the fly zone. The plane shortly took off, as they are now in flight, heading to Atlanta, well, Georgia.
"And he fell asleep." Harry smiled, running his fingers through Peter's hair. "His hair is so.. soft, how is that possible?"
"Who knows dude. Atleast he has hair." Miles laughed, before being swatted upside his head by Gwen. "You have hair, Miles, it's just not like Peter's." Anya told him. "OK OK, but maybe it's his shampoo?" Miles shrugged, side-eyeing Gwen. "Maybe. His hair is what I can imagine how clouds feel." Gwen snickered. Peter grumbled before his eyes shot up lightly, taking in his surroundings. "I'm hungry."
"When the 'waitress' comes by, you can ask for some food." Harry muttered, eyes faltering to the side, looking for the attendant to see if she at least walks by.
"Ok." Peter answered, adjusting himself.
"SOO, anyone wanna watch some movies?" Gwen suggested. "Star wars?" Peter rose his head from Harry's chest, staring at Gwen. "Sure, which one...?" she questioned. "Any is fine." Peter responded.
"Star wars again? Dude, it's always Star wars!" Miles cried out, pouting as he crossed his arms. Anya bunted his side with her elbow, hissing. "Miles, we always have to listen to your savage shows so don't start." Anya scolded him gently.
"Right..." Miles whispered. He leaned his head on Anya's shoulder. "You too? Surely you both can't be that tired." Gwen snickered.
"Did you both stay up?" Harry questioned, his arms snaking up to wrap themselves onto Peter.
"Mmm no. Miles did, though. He thought that staying up would keep him energized. It clearly didn't cause he threw up earlier." Peter laughed, as Miles was quick to bat him on the side. "I didn't throw up! You did!" Miles snapped back. The two stared at each other, before wheezing. "Uhm... ok. I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear what you both said." Harry, Anya, and Gwen countered.
"Let's just get to watching." Peter said, as Gwen tapped away at the tablet presented in front of them.
-
"Alright everyone, rise and shine, we have successfully landed in Atlanta! Everyone please be careful as you exit out the plane. It is right now raining, so all coats and jackets should be on!" The flight attendant yelled to the speakers. Peter and the others stretched, before sitting up, unbuckling, and walking out in the line behind everyone else exiting. The moment they reached inside, Peter felt the amazing breeze of fresh, cool, and crisp air even inside the building.
"Never in a million years would I thought I'd be out in Atlanta!"
"Woah. This place is.. this has to be the biggest airport to ever exist! As far as I know..maybe New York's airport might be bigger in size but.." Miles wondered, as he limbly dragged his luggage like Peter.
"Their fascinated like puppies when seeing a cat." Anya smirked.
"Yup. Our puppies." Gwen then grabbed her luggage, alongside with Anya. "Ours? Miles is all yours. Peter's mine." Harry said, as he grabbed his luggage, them following the 'puppies'.
"I'm pretty sure their hungry." Anya sighed, as they saw Miles and Peter run into a burger place. Harry, Gwen, and Anya had to catch up, already seeing them in line. "Do they even have the money?" Harry turned to look at the duo, who shrugged, as they sat and placed their belongings on a table, luggages on the side. Gwen claimed she wasn't hungry, because eating after having a flight can cause stomach pains. Harry and Anya were hungry though, but since they have a pair of spiders to care for, they guessed 'why not'.
"Can I have uhm... that burger that has bacon?" Peter questioned, as Harry walked behind him, and Anya besides Miles. "The burger-bacon meltdown, sir?" the waiter questioned, as he tapped a few buttons on the tablet depressively. "Yeah." Peter answered. "Can I have the same thing too?" Miles questioned, as he heard the waiter tap away. Miles guessed he added his request. "And for you two?" The waiter questioned once again, as Harry nodded eagerly. Anya gave a thumbs up. "I would like the bacon-top muffin, please?" Harry asked. The man tapped away, and looked at Anya. "I would like the breakfast steak-burger," she responded politely. The man nodded, and gave them a number. 12 . I guess that was their table's number to be called.
Peter and the others sat at the table where Gwen was at, before Peter whipped out his phone. He lightly scrolled down, before his eyes widened. "ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmy-----" Peter froze, as he flashed his phone at everyone. "Tony Stark wants to work with Spider-Man..?!" Everyone froze too, staring at the group. Peter looked so happy but so confused at the same time. "Wow!"
"Congrats... Peter." Harry whispered, his hand waving to where he pointed to everyone's stares, almost saying 'but can you stop yelling?'.
"Ohmygod." Peter breathed out, before blinking rapidly. "Number 12!" The cashier yelled out, distracting the rest away. Harry sighed in relief, before standing up. "I'll go get the food."
"Ok..." Peter smiled dorkly. Anya went back to talking with Gwen, as Miles started a conversation with Pete. Harry waved them off, before walking to the front. He grinned at the cashier, as the man gave them a bag filled with food. "Enjoy." The man said, as he called out another number.
"Smells nice." Harry nodded approvingly. He walked back to his group, and put the food down onto the table. "Lunch; is served." Harry kindly bowed, as Peter chuckled, leaving Miles and Gwen questioning their life for 4ish seconds. Anya sighed loudly, watching Peter.
"What's wrong Anya?" Miles looked to her, his brows furrowing.
"Nothing. Well, something." She whispered to him, as she motioned for him to come closer. "Peter doesn't seem fine." She whispered again. Miles followed her eyes and saw Peter's dark bags. "Wow." Miles frowned, disappointed.
"He hasn't slept because of that test!" Anya whispered, as she tapped away on her phone. "Otto assigned so much that it's unbelievable."
"I told you guys he was mean!" Miles pouted, as he munched on his burger. "Chill pill, Miles, manners." Gwen chuckled. Peter already finished his, by what it seems. His plate was gone.
"Your already done?" Harry questioned, as he ate his burger. "Yeah. It's pretty good. Can I have some of your fries?" Peter asked, smiling. "Hm. I don't know, can you?" Harry retorted. Peter rolled his eyes and grabbed a few onto a napkin, having ketchup on the side. "Ew!" Miles groaned, as he watched Peter put the ketchup near him. "What?" Peter smirked. "Mustard and fries are better." Miles huffed. "Your the menace of this group, Miles." Peter vividly remembered when Miles dumped mustard all over his hotdog. "I'm the menace?! Your the menace using ketchup!" Miles cried aloud, as he pointed his finger quite aggressively at Peter.
"Ok, ok enough with the whole menace thing. That's JJ's job. You both aren't menaces. But I agree with Miles, Peter. That ketchup bottle is the menace right now." Harry said, as he finished his burger. Peter stared at him like as if he ran his dog over, which remains untold. "How rude of you, Har! Ketchup is delicious!" Peter huffed.
"You guys complain a lot like that girl group at Horizon. Non stop gossiping about a girl tripping on her dress and ruining her makeup." Gwen rolled her eyes, as Anya gathered her attention by seeing something on her phone. "Hey, don't come at me. Come at them! They started all this." Harry gasped, as he rose his hands up in surrender. "I wasn't talking about you Harry. Actually, maybe I was." Gwen answered, as he put her phone down. "Now that-- that's rude." Harry frowned, throwing a fry at Gwen.
---
"Soooo, where are we gonna stay?" Peter asked, as Anya had requested herself a box. They were finally getting ready to leave the airport's restaurant.
"Hm... Maybe we can rent those houses we can stay at?" Harry asked, as he pulled his phone out. "What about an Air BnB?" Peter questioned. "Sure. I'll look around. Sharing rooms or?" Harry rose a brow. Peter looked at the others and they nodded. "Gwen can stay with Anya, me and Miles can bunk with you." Peter smirked. "Right. So 4 rooms?" Harry smiled. "Fine. Let poor little ol' me be all by myself." Miles almost was close to doing puppy dog eyes at Harry. "Dramatic! Sleep with your girlfriends or something!" Harry pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. "Girlfriends? Buddy chill." Miles frowned. "Whatever. Now, what do you know? The house isn't ready by tomorrow." Harry smiled. "So, were gonna be walking around for an entire day just so we don't look homeless and really freaking weird almost as if were hobos on the streets asking for money and looking around for water?" Miles questioned politely. "God damn Miles, no! Yes, we'll be walking around for probably an entire day straight, but we do much more than that, you know that? We go around saving people every dang day so..." Harry chuckled, as Peter looked at him in awe. "That made no sense whatsoever. Now let's just... let's just explore the airport! They got Starbucks!" Peter smiled, as he ran off with his luggage, Miles following behind. "Even if were spiders, I'd never see ourselves with that much energy." Gwen sighed, as she dragged her luggage alongside with herself, Anya pulling hers, and Harry following too.
"God save us all." Harry prayed, as he followed them.
---
"It's barely even 7! And Peter already had like what, 19 cake pops! I want some too!" Miles complained, as he followed Peter out the Starbucks, Harry questioning how he wasn't sick. Peter turned out, and handed Miles his last cake pop. "Thanks.." Miles smiled lightly. Peter rolled his eyes, as he dragged his luggage. They were finally leaving the airport. And to be honest, they expected to see Kevin Hart. But sadly, he was no where to be seen.
"Right. Now, I'm hungry. I really want some food." Miles munched on the cake pop, humming in delight. "Well, there's a Cane's down over there?" Anya said, pointing to the corner. "Sounds fine to me." Gwen smiled. "OK. Lets go then, I'm starving!" Peter yelled, as he and Miles ran down the sidewalk. "Not again." Harry fumbled with his wallet, a invisible tear falling down it. As he thinks...
They finally made it to the Cane's, and entered. Miles looks around, the smell of food whiffed in his nose. "That smells good." He muttered, his nose guiding him to the front.
They had ordered not much, but enough to keep them fed till their 'house' was ready. Peter stared out the window, the rain he saw hitting the window like lighting bolts. "It rains here a lot, huh?" Peter said, as he lifted his head from his hand, and looked to Harry. Harry in return shrugged, "I never been here so I'm not familiar with the weather. But like I mean, out here anything can happen." he responded.
"Hm. Makes sense." Peter smiled, satisfied with the answer. Harry chuckled, and looked away back to his food. Miles tapped his finger on the table, as Anya and Gwen chattered away. "I'm tired." Miles sighed as he packaged his food in the box it came with. Gwen agreed, including Anya. "Where are we gonna rest?" Peter questioned. "We can make a burrow of webs. I can't do that stuff, only you guys can, I'm guessing..." Harry muttered. "That's not a bad idea. What do you guys think?" Peter looked to the trio. Miles shrugged, Anya grinned, and Gwen stared. "Ok. We all have hoodies so.. let's get going? We already payed." Peter smirked. They all got up and left, heading to a corner a bit close to the Cane's due to lack of light. "Luggages as a pillow or?" Peter asked, as he pulled his hood atop of himself, along the others. "We can make pillows with our webbing if we have enough." Miles answered. Peter frowned, but said 'ok' and continued on from there, as he webbed a corner to a corner and then a filling of webbing along the walls of the ... the corner. "It looks like a spider's nest. Like a whole lot of spiders." Miles's eyes widened at the thought, as he remembered reading a Harry Potter book. Ron's fear. He may or may not have had nightmares watching that when he was younger.
