“Marcy, with all due respect I simply don’t have time for this,” Olivia began. “I have two meetings this afternoon and I have to-”
“Hush, Olivia. I promise, it’ll be worth it,” Marcy said as she put her hands on Olivia’s shoulders. She led her towards the middle of the town and into the royal cafe. The cafe had white tiles and quartz tables. There were splashes of color of rainbow coral. “Now, she should be here any minute.”
“Who?-”
That was when General Yunnan walked in. She was still wearing her armor and had some questionable red spots on her uniform. Her eyes wandered for a bit until she spotted the two. However, before she could say anything, Marcy ran up to her excitedly.
“Yunnan!!!” Marcy was about to hug her but remembered about her sharp hands, so she just flapped her hands in excitement. “I can’t wait for you to meet Olivia, ugh you two would be so great together!” Yunnan looked at her like I have no idea what you’re talking about but great!
Marcy put her hand on Yunnan’s shoulder while leading her over to Olivia. “Olivia, meet Yunnan,” she said with a big smile on her face.
Olivia sat there, frozen in place, her face getting beet red. “I…um…hi.” All three of them stood there awkwardly until Yunnan filled the silence.
“So…nice dress you got there. You must work in the palace, right?” Yunnan scratched the back of her neck but muttered angrily under her breath when she realized she made a small cut on her neck from her hands.
“Um…yup. I work directly for King Andrias. That man’s farts cause an earthquake. And I take it you work for the royal army?”
Yunnan held back a laugh at the comment about Andrias. She had witnessed it personally and she could attest; that was true. “Well, I used to work for the army. But then I committed too many war crimes so they had me work alone instead. That kind of backfired though since I just committed five war crimes today >:D.”
And with that, they bonded over all the crimes and treason they’d committed. Marcy was winning. Her OTP ship had finally met.
