It was nighttime at domino city, at the Kaiba dome there was a duel monster's tournament, Duelists from all over the world was there, there some wins and some losses, until it was the final round of the tournament, Zane was in the final round of the tournament, he was dueling against a duelist from the UK team, the duelist had some weak duel monsters, but Zane has his Cyber End dragon, He was looking at his opponent with a fierce look in his eyes.
"Cyber end dragon finish it, attack". Zane said.
Zane's Cyber End Dragon attacked the duel monster from the duelist from the UK team and had won the tournament, Zane was doing an interview with a television news reporter, he went to the locker room, he changed his clothes, he walked out of the Kaiba Dome, he was on his way to his rented apartment, he was looking forward to talk to his sweet girlfriend Tara Yuki over at Duel Academy, he realized that she would be sleeping, he stopped at a sidewalk ledge, he was waiting for the traffic light to turn green, and the walk light to turn on, when it did Zane started walking across the street, when suddenly a speeding car was speeding down the street fast, it was heading toward Zane, until it hit him, he bumped his head on the other sidewalk ledge.
"Tara, I'm so sorry, please forgive me". Zane said as he passed out.
Meanwhile back at Duel Academy at the Obelisk Girl's Dorm, Tara was sleeping in her bed, she started tossing and turning, until she woke up in a cold sweat, she sat up in bed and got her bearings, she hadn't a clue what just happened, did she hear her boyfriend's voice, or was she just dreaming.
"Zane". Tara said to herself.
suddenly there was an overwhelming feeling, then it was gone, she laid back down, and went to sleep.
