You stared at your laptop, beaming at the screen as you re-read the email for the millionth time.
[Hi [Y/N]! After looking over your resume and your history it's a pleasure to tell you that you've been accepted as the handler and assistant daycare worker for the Superstar Daycare in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaplex! We'd like to offer you to start tomorrow if you'll come in today to meet the daycare animatronic and get your security clearance! Please let us know if you can make it by calling (XXX)-XXX-XXXX and we'll see you soon! Have a Faz-tastic day!]
You had already called to confirm and your meeting was in an hour- As you rushed around you made sure you had your phone, wallet, and keys while you daydreamed about what all you could help with and do during your new job, which was a brand new position as you've learned.
It was explained to you that typically they would hire a daycare assistant AND a separate technician to be a handler but due to some complications in the past they were thrilled to give you both jobs as one, with an increase in salary and benefits if you agreed to longer hours and more flexible schedules. Sometimes you would be called in early or asked to stay late if you needed to work on the daycare animatronic- Sun and Moon, as you've learned.
Well- Animatronics? You're not really sure, it was never made clear to you if it was one or two. See, they gave you the schematics for the bot and it's just that, A Bot, but they seem to refer to two different beings- A Sun and a Moon but then why aren't there two schematics? Two sets of the same base body maybe? You figure that they would clarify that though...
Well, you'll figure it out, no matter what you're determined to keep this job and be fantastic at it!
With a confident breath, and your bag in toe, you close and lock your door and head out to your new job.
"Here I go, let's do this." You smile as you head out- You have a good feeling about this.
You arrived at the plex within about fifteen minutes, and after a few seconds of staring in awe at the atrium you found the help desk.
"Hi! I'm [Y/N], I'm here to-" You get cut off by the girl working the help desk. "Yeah yeah, new hire, go to the security office and the guard currently on duty will show you where to go after you get a name tag." "Thank you...?" you walked off, going the vague way she pointed "That was rude..."
You eventually found your way to the security office, and made it inside. "Hello? I'm [Y/N], the new hire?"
"Ah! Hello- I'm Eric, Eric McLoughlin! Let's get you set up!"
Eric helped you to set up an employee security pass and get an ID, along with giving you a few uniform shirts. "Now, since you will be stationed in the daycare you can actually opt to wear something else so long as it's not too revealing or anything and you'll only be required to wear the uniform for things like inspections and deep cleaning days." "Deep cleaning days?" "Once every two months the daycare specifically shuts down for it to be very thoroughly cleaned and have anything replaced that needs to be."
You were instructed to head to the daycare, which had just closed, to go and meet Sun- Who you found out was different than Moon but not exactly how, Eric had been very vague- to let him register you as a daycare assistant.
When you walked up to the slide you knew that you probably should go through the door but... Well... Fuck that, giant slide that can actually fit you is going to be the way you go if you're given any choice- Who would choose a door over a giant colourful slide?
You practically threw yourself down the slide once your bag was situated, laughing as you went down and landing in a ball pit. "Oh my god that was awesome- Holy this place is huge!"
You stood up, gaping at the giant play structures, they look like an adult playground and they might be in five minutes if you have any say. "Right- Find the daycare attendant-"
"HELLO!" You jump and look up, seeing an animatronic you have to assume is Sun standing on a balcony and- JUMPING!?
Your would-be scream is cut short as he lands in the ball pit and comes out unscathed but you can't help but worry and rush to him, as much as you can wading through the balls you're both standing in.
"Oh goodness, are you hurt? Why did you jump? That is WAY too high to jump from- Mr.Sun what were you thinking? You could have gotten yourself killed!" You don't notice, in your panic, that you've stunned the sunny bot.
'They're... Worried?' 'I don't trust it... Be cautious...'
"I'M AYE-OKAY FRIEND! WHO ARE YOU?" he smiled at you, well, he looked to you since he always had a smile on his face.
"Oh, sorry, I'm [Y/N]- But are you sure you're alright? You fell, jumped actually, from a pretty high place-" You're cut off again "OH DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME [Y/N]! BUT THE DAYCARE IS CLOSED AT THE MOMENT!" "Huh? Oh- OH! Right, sorry, I'm your new assistant! Or, well, I guess my official title is handler- I'll be taking care of you and helping out in here starting tomorrow!" You offer a hand to Sun.
He hesitates a second, not that you can tell, before he shakes your hand. "WELL IT'S A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU MS.[Y/N]! I'M SURE WE'LL BE GREAT FRIENDS!" he's sure, honestly, that you're about to recoil like everyone else and correct him that you're not here to be friends, you're here to do your job- But- "I'm sure we'll be great friends too Sunny!"
'That is... Unexpected... Be wary Sun...' 'I will be Moonie, promise.'
They watched as you left after a while, Moon through Sun's eyes- And kept watch until the doors to the daycare shut.
"They'll be back tomorrow, sure, but that will probably be the last time..." Sun said to Moon out-loud.
'I'm sorry Sunny.'
"It's alright. Let's clean up Moonie!"
Moon hated the shaking he could hear in his counterparts voice as he spoke. 'Let's.'
