Work Text:
Gliommoux had often been warned about his constant risk of internment. How he had only gotten away with so much in Eorzea because of his status as a Warrior of Light. How it would only get him so far.
How that makes him their go-to person for getting intel via internment by letting him go to such high-intensity places unaided.
And yet despite all their plans, despite all their vast connections and other active intelligence agents out in the field, Gliommoux was thrown into internment. But he was not just placed there, but done so swiftly upon his arrival that he wasn’t even certain of if he had even reached his destination in truth, or if he had just made it to an outpost for the city proper. When he was finally ‘free’ to look about where he had been placed, it became immediately clear that whatever intel they had given him would do him no use here. Not a single structure he could see bore any resemblance to that which he had been told about, nor did any of his fellow prisoners share features that signalled them to be an ally in his work.
After nearly 10 years of being the menace to his colleagues that he had chosen to be, he may finally have his way out of his title of Warrior of Light. All he had to do was play by his captors rules and survive. And while being a Warrior of Light had been a thorn in his side for almost his entire experience of it, it made the surviving part a walk in the comparative park.
