Notes:

Hello! I'm back with another story. I just want to point out that I have no idea how birth personally works so all the information that this story includes are found on the internet and therefore can be wrong. I hope you enjoy it anyway and, as always, your support is more than welcome :)

Chapter 1: In the Middle of the Night

Chapter Text

“Will you stop kicking me already?” Jimin whined, his eyes glossy with unshed tears. Leaning his head back against the soft armchair, Jimin continued to rub his belly gently, trying to calm down the child inside of him, but it wasn’t working and his soft touch earned him another kick to the bladder.

“I don’t like you.” Jimin hissed, tears falling down his face as he quickly wiped them away, in case Jungkook wakes up and sees him like this. The brown haired man moved his hands away from his belly, realizing his child was going to kick him anyway no matter what he did. Instead he crossed his arms over his chest, shivering against the cold wind as he looked into the night all around him.

Jimin didn’t know what time it was yet, everything around him was in pure darkness and there was no sign of sun on the horizon. He didn’t mind it much. This was the third time this week that he was out here, sitting on the porch of his home all alone as he tried to calm his child down so he could go back to sleep. Usually, after a few minutes it worked, but not tonight. Jimin could feel coldness seeping through his clothes and biting his skin as shivers appeared on his arms and thighs.

He should probably go back inside soon, if he didn’t want to catch a cold, but something about sitting here in pure silence was calming to the Omega. He liked the idea that he was the only one awake. Besides, the pure darkness excited him and scared him at the same time. Jungkook would probably lose his mind if he knew what his mate was doing almost every night, but Jimin didn’t care. He was the one who couldn’t sleep because he was carrying another being inside of him and he deserved to make his own choices and to enjoy these little secret pleasures of his.

“Ouch.” Jimin whimpered, doubling over in pain at a sharp unexpected kick to his ribs. Biting the inside of his cheek, Jimin resisted the urge to curse at his own unborn child because it started to get annoying. It wasn’t cute anymore, having a giant belly and having his husband look after him like he was made of glass. He just wanted it all to end. He wanted his body back. He wanted to sleep and eat and pee in peace without the little baby constantly kicking him and reminding him of their presence.

“Soon.” Jimin muttered to himself, wincing as he tried to get comfortable again, but now the coldness wasn’t comforting anymore and not even the dead silence of the night could calm him down. This little moment was ruined and Jimin clenched his fists, narrowing his eyes down at his huge belly.

“You had to do it, didn’t you?” Jimin asked his baby, rolling his eyes when he received no response back. “You’ll be out of there soon and then you’ll get it.” Jimin threatened, but he knew none of those words would come true. He wasn’t a sadist and he would never even dream of hurting his own child. Jimin was simply sleep deprived and he was done walking around like a penguin. Plus, he couldn’t remember the last time he saw his dick and that was annoying in its own way.

The Omega was about to try and get comfortable again when he stopped dead in his tracks. There was a weird scent floating around in the air. Unfamiliar. Jimin’s skin tingled with dread. There was something off about it and Jimin didn’t like it. The Omega tried to figure out from which direction it was coming from, but he couldn’t. It’s like the scent was coming all around him and, without thinking too much about it, the Omega ran inside, locking the door behind him.

In seconds he was back inside their shared bedroom, waking up the Alpha as he tried to keep his hands from shaking. His husband’s eyes immediately snapped open, the second he felt someone touching him, but when he realized it was Jimin he calmed down a little.

“What happened, darling?” Jungkook yawned, slowly blinking up at Jimin before he suddenly sat up, his muscles tense. “Is the baby coming?” Jungkook asked him, his eyes round as panic laced his own voice just by thinking about Jimin in labor. The Alpha didn’t even remember getting off the bed and moving towards the door, his mind all over the place as he tried to remember who he should wake up and bring to Jimin as he gave birth.

Taehyung?

Jungkook asked himself, nodding his head before he moved onto another person. And that’s what he would have continued to do if Jimin’s little “Jungkook.” didn’t stop him dead in his tracks.

Jimin and him were together for over seven years and not once did Jungkook hear him sounding so broken and small. The Omega was usually stubborn and headstrong, not taking shit from anybody and it was often Jimin taking care of Jungkook and spitting in people’s faces if they said something bad about Jungkook.

All of that changed when Jimin got pregnant with their first child and suddenly Jungkook’s Alpha instincts were all over the place and suddenly it was him taking charge of their relationship because he couldn’t stomach not treating Jimin as his king.

So, to hear Jimin sounding like that, made the Alpha drop back down on the bed immediately, gathering his Omega in his arms.

“Did you have a bad dream then?” Jungkook tried again, rubbing the Omega’s back and slowly kissing his mating mark, releasing calming pheromones in the air. Jungkook smiled to himself when he felt Jimin go puffy in his arms as the Omega hid his face in Jungkook’s chest, breathing his mate in.

“Were you outside again?” Jungkook scolded him, noticing how cold Jimin’s clothes were as the Omega whimpered, his eyes flashing blue. He didn’t know what was wrong with him and since when he became this clingy and depended on Jungkook, but he didn’t hate it as much as he thought he would. The Omega felt Jungkook shifting underneath him as the Alpha grabbed the covers from the bed, wrapping them around his mate, trying to warm him up as tears shimmered in his eyes.

He was so lucky.

“Now tell me what happened.” Jungkook comforted, his voice soft and kind as he started down at Jimin, feeling his mouth running dry.

“There was someone outside.” Jimin whispered, his voice laced with fear as he looked up at his husband who was frowning, his arms tightening around the Omega. Romantic little atmosphere that they had vanished in seconds and now Jungkook was staring down at Jimin, trying to wrap his head around what he just heard.

“Who? Where?” Jungkook asked him, glancing towards the window, trying to see if anyone was outside, but it was too dark and he couldn't detect any movement.

“I don’t know, but there was an unfamiliar scent all around me and-” Jimin’s words were cut off by a loud piercing scream coming from outside as more angry shouts followed. Jimin flinched from where he was sitting on Jungkook’s lap as the Alpha straightened his back, his eyes full of alert. His instincts were screaming to never leave Jimin alone, but his body was urging him up and forward and that’s exactly what he did.

He quickly placed Jimin down on the bed, making his way towards the front door, not even noticing Jimin rushing after him as tears streamed down his face and his hands clutching his belly tightly.  There was a dull ache in the pit of his stomach and he didn’t know what it was, but he just assumed it was the stress and fear of everything coming at him all at once.

“Jungkook, please don’t go outside, Please.” Jimin cried out, grabbing Jungkook’s arm and pulling him away from the door as the Alpha tightened his grip on the doorknob. “Please, don’t go. Stay here with me.” Jimin whimpered, taking short shaky breaths as his hands started to shake from where he was holding onto Jungkook’s arm. The Alpha squeezed his eyes shut, taking a deep breath and trying to calm himself down, knowing his scent was making the Omega even more stressed out.

“Jimin, I have to go and see if-” Jungkook was cut off by a loud knock and all too familiar voice saying “It’s me, Yoongi.” as the younger Alpha briskly opened the door, letting two people in.

“Jimin.” Taehyung mumbled, wrapping his arms around the Omega’s neck, being careful not to press too hard on his belly as Jimin closed his eyes, another tear slipping down his cheek. Even though the Omega was holding onto Taehyung, he still had a strong grip on Jungkook and he was refusing to let the Alpha go. On the other hand, Jungkook could feel Jimin digging his nails in his arm, but he didn’t care as he locked the door and observed what was going on through the window.

The entire pack was awake now and torches were being lit from all over as everybody prepared to fight back. Yoongi and Jungkook would be one of them soon, but both Alphas had to make sure their Omegas were safe first.

“You know what you have to do, right?” Jungkook asked two Omegas, even though his question was directed more at Taehyung, who actually looked like he was here with them, while Jimin was a completely different story. The Omega was clutching his chest, his eyes running all over the place as cold sweat rolled down his forehead, some of it forming on the back of his neck and making his shirt stick to his naked skin. The Alpha stepped towards his mate, gently cherishing his cheeks as he stared into Jimin’s eyes, forcing the Omega to focus on no one else but him.

“Darling, everything is going to be alright. Do you hear me? You’ll be fine. And I’ll be fine too.” Jungkook tried to assure him, but Jimin was shaking his head, slowly backing away from his mate as the Alpha tried to stop him.

“You can’t go out there. You have to stay h-here.” Jimin said, his voice shaky, an ugly sob making it harder to speak or even breathe. Jungkook could see that Jimin was panicking more and more every second and he felt awful because he didn’t know what to do. How can he calm down his mate in such a short time? How can he lie to him and promise him that it will all be alright when he didn’t know that? He didn’t even know who was after them for fuck’s sake.

“Jimin. Jimin, listen to me.” Jungkook tried, but Jimin’s attention was gone from him and now he was focusing on Taehyung and how the Omega was packing warm clothes in one bag and some food in the other. Yoongi was standing near the window, his eyes red and sharp claws already forming on the tip of his fingers as he looked through the glass, making sure no one was coming at them.

“You need to go with Taehyung to the woods and once this is over I will find you, alright? I will find you, darling.” Jungkook promised, staring into Jimin’s eyes as the Omega shook his head no, opening his lips like he wanted to say something, but nothing came out.

“You need to listen to Taehyung and do whatever he says, alright? You’ll be fine, I promise.” Jungkook tried again, kissing Jimin’s forehead as the Omega held onto him with all his might.

“You have to go now.” Jungkook said, grabbing a blanket from the sofa and wrapping it around Jimin, noticing the Omega already had his warm coat on. The Alpha glanced at Yoongi and Taehyung, who were having their own little moment together as Yoongi tried to comfort his mate who had tears in his eyes.

“We have to go.” Jungkook said, grabbing his arrows and bow before he opened the door, making sure no one was on their porch or somewhere around the house. Jungkook could see some houses around them on fire as dread filled his stomach when he thought about losing his home and never coming back here again.

No.

Jungkook said to himself, he couldn’t think like that. He had to focus on getting Jimin safely to the woods and then on killing every single bastard who thought it was a good idea to attack his home in the middle of the night.

“Why are you bringing your bow?” Yoongi asked behind him, guiding Taehyung across the big open filled and towards the dark forest where they will hopefully find some coverage.

“The tips are made of silver.” Jungkook explained, glancing back at the older Alpha, his eyes full of wrath and vengeance as Yoongi chuckled, shaking his head.

“Remind me to never be your enemy.” He told Jungkook once they finally made it to the edge of the woods as the younger Alpha rolled his eyes. He took a backpack from Yoongi and placed it on Jimin’s back before kissing the naked skin of Jimin’s neck that was peaking from above the blanket and coat. It broke his heart to let Jimin leave all alone, but he had to defend the pack. He had to make sure Jimin would have a home to return to.

Glancing at Taehyung Jungkook could see he was also carrying one backpack and was hugging Yoongi, hiding his face in the Alpha’s chest.

“I love you.” Jungkook whispered to Jimin, connecting their lips in a slow sensual kiss as he tried not to think how this may be their last one.

“I love you more.” Jimin mumbled back, his eyes shining with tears as he rubbed his belly. The ache hasn’t gone away. If anything it only became stronger and the Omega was dreading running through the woods in pure darkness. He could barely walk let alone run and he hoped his baby would be nice this time and that they won’t kick him again.

“Stick to Taehyung.” Jungkook whispered to Jimin, his hands glazing over Jimin’s belly as he tried to feel if his child was kicking, but there was no movement underneath his palm. He too was scared how his mate was going to hold up and if he would be able to run for so long, but there was nothing he could do. No matter how much it broke Jungkook’s heart, Jimin and Taehyung were on their own from now on.

“As if I’m ever going to let him get away from me.” Taehyung joked, wrapping his arm around Jimin before they slowly made it to the woods. They didn’t start to run immediately, they wanted to get their eyes used to the dark first because it would do Jimin no good if he tripped over something and fell on his belly. And they couldn’t bring torches because the entire point was for them to escape underneath the enemies’ noses and without them noticing anything.

“Stay behind me pup.” They both heard Yoongi say as Taehyung glanced back, seeing Jungkook and Yoongi running back to the center of the village, their shoulders drawn back and their back straight, ready to fight.

“I’m not a pup.” Jungkook growled annoyingly, but there was a small smirk playing on the corners of his lips that disappeared the second he saw movements from the roof. He looked up, noticing a huge black wolf staring down at them, ready to jump. In seconds the Alpha was stretching his bow, firing an arrow straight to the wolf’s head as it roared in pain, falling down on the ground.

“Rogues.” Yoongi hissed, glancing towards the woods where they left Taehyung and Jimin, hoping none of them will follow the Omega’s trails because that would mean the end for their mates.

The second Omegas realized they could somewhat see the white snowy ground underneath their feet, did they start to run faster. Taehyung was a few meters in front of Jimin, making sure the Omega wouldn’t trip over anything as he occasionally glanced back at him, scared that he would lose Jimin to the darkness around them.

“You got this Jimin.” Taehyung assured his friend, smiling back at him before he turned his attention in front of them, his body on full alert. He was constantly flicking his eyes from one spot to another, terrified that someone was hiding behind the trees and was getting ready to kill both of them in seconds. So far that didn’t happen and besides the two of them no one else was in the forest. They were the only ones disturbing the calm atmosphere that fell over the forest as they ran as fast as they could, Jimin breathing heavier and heavier.

It's only been fifteen or so minutes since they started running, but to Jimin it felt like an eternity. His feet were screaming in pain and the dull ache in his belly was slowly becoming unbearable and, considering his lower back was carrying all the weight, they were hurting as well and the Omega couldn’t stand up straight no matter how much he tried.

“Taehyung.” Jimin whimpered, trying to get his friend’s attention who started slowing down once he realized Jimin wasn’r right behind him like he thought.

“Jimin? What happened?” Taehyung asked him, rushing over to him as the other Omega leaned against some tree, trying to catch his breath while rubbing his belly.

“Is it the baby?” Taehyung aked, his voice filled with panic as he stared down at Jimin’s legs, trying to see if his water broke in the darkness of the night.

“No.” Jimin mumbled, shaking his head. The Omega didn’t think the dull ache in his belly could be a sign of labor and now he was leaning forward, tears forming in his eyes all over again just when he started to calm down. He was so stupid. He should have realized what the pain meant right from the start and now he could feel his knees shaking and blood rushing through his ears as he thought about giving birth in the middle of the forest.

“I know you’re tired, Jimin.” Taehyung started, hugging his best friend and rubbing his shoulders. “But we have to move on. We’re still too close.” Taehyung explained, studying Jimin’s face, trying to see if the Omega can run for a few more minutes, but it was obvious Jimin was close to passing out and Taehyung realized there was no point in pushing Jimin and not letting him rest for a bit. He could only hurt the baby that way and stress Jimin even more.

“Alright. We can rest here for a bit.” Taehyung suggested, helping Jimin sit down on the cold snowy floor as he dropped down next to him. “Are you thirsty?” Taehyung asked, offering Jimin some water from his back pack as the Omega gladly took it, drinking a few sips before closing the lid and giving it back to Taehyung.

Just as Taehyung was about to take a sip of refreshing water he felt an unfamiliar presence right behind him. All hairs on the back of his neck stood on edge as he held his breath, trying to figure out if someone was really behind him in the trees. That was harder than he thought because Jimin was breathing slowly and loudly as he rubbed his belly, wincing every once in a while.

“Jimin.” Taehyung spoke, his voice neutral as the Omega glanced up at his friend, immediately noticing pure fear in his eyes. The brown haired man quickly realized what his friend wanted him to do as he held his breath, trying to make as little noise as possible. Taehyung, on the other hand, was looking all around them, trying to detect any movement coming from between the trees, but nothing was there.

If his instincts weren’t screaming at Taehyung that they weren’t alone, the Omega would have forgotten about it, but something was off about this entire thing and he didn’t want to be here anymore.

“We have to go, Jimin. Now.” The man said, quickly getting up while running his eyes all over the place, making sure no one would come at them from behind. The other Omega shook his head no, wrapping his arms around himself, trying to warm up.

“I can’t Taehyung. I can’t do this anymore.” Jimin cried out, he was tired and in pain and he just wanted to sleep this entire night off and not run again. He couldn’t do it. He was too tired to continue.

“What are you talking about, Jimin?” Taehyung snapped, narrowing his eyes down at his friend before he picked up his backpack and placed it on his back. “We have to go. Someone is here with us.” Taehyung explained, trying to help Jimin to get up, but the other Omega barely moved an inch.

“You go, Taehyung. Just leave me her-”

“What the fuck, Jimin? You want me to leave you here? In your fucking dreams.” Taehyung cursed, grabbing Jimin’s arms and pulling him up, not caring how rough he was. All he knew is that he wanted to punch Jimin for those stupid words, but first they needed to get somewhere safe.

“I’m serious, Taehyung. I can’t do this anymore.” Jimin tried again, but his friend ignored him as he wrapped his arm around Jimin, getting him to move in the opposite direction they just came from.

“Shut up, Jimin. Someone will hear you.” Taehyung angrily replied, knowing he was  being mean, but he really didn’t have the energy to care. Jimin was stupid and he didn’t know Taehyung as much as he should have if he thought Taehyung was going to leave him to die like that.

Thankfully, Jimin didn’t say anything after that and the two continued to walk through the forest. Taehyung didn’t hurry their pace, knowing Jimin probably won’t be able to take it. Besides, walking like this was better than sitting down and just waiting for death to take them.

After another few minutes Taehyung noticed that Jimin was slowing down again and he forced his own legs to slow down as well and to match his friend’s pace.

“Taehyung.” Jimin whispered, rubbing his belly, barely getting his legs to move.

“Yes?” Taehyung asked him, glancing down at his friend, but Jimin wasn’t looking at him. He was focused on his belly and Taehyung felt shivers crawling up and down his back as he hoped it wasn’t what he thought it was.

“Something feels wrong.” Jimin slowly said, still rubbing his belly and trying to figure out if the wetness inside his pants was pee or something else.

“What do you mean?” Taehyung asked him, he completely stopped walking now as he helped Jimin lean against a tree, stepping back from his friend.

“I think my water broke.” Jimin said, moving his upper body left and right, trying to see his pants, but he couldn’t because of how huge his belly was.

“Jimin, it can’t be.” Taehyung tried to say, crunching down next to his friend and touching his thighs. A small panicked gasp escaped his lips when he felt wetness underneath his fingertips and when he noticed how darker his pants had gotten around his private parts.

“What is it, Taehyung?” Jimin asked, trying to reach with his hand, but Taehyung stopped him. He quickly scrambled up, realizing what this meant as his eyes ran all over the forest, looking for a good place where they could hide and where Jimin could rest. There was nothing though and he silently cursed underneath his breath.

He will have to leave Jimin here to go and look for something.

“Jimin, you have to stay here,” Taehyung said, staring at the Omega's eyes while biting the inside of his cheek.

“What? Why?” Jimin asked him, his eyes wide and face pale as Taehyung took the backpack from Jimin. He knew there were many warm clothes and blankets inside and he would have to set it all up wherever he finds a good dry spot.

“Where are you going, Taehyung?” Jimin asked him again, trying to grab Taehyung’s hand, but the Omega quickly moved away. His heart was breaking as he thought about leaving his friend all alone for even a second, but he had to do it. He had to go and find some place safe and dry where Jimin could give birth. If it ever came to that and Taehyung felt like it would.

“I need to find a place where you can give birth, Jimin.” Taehyung said in the end, closing his eyes. “I’ll come back for you, Jimin. I promise, but you have to stay quiet.” Taehyung finished, not looking at his friend while Jimin shook his head no. He didn’t want to stay here all alone and he still couldn’t believe that he was about to give birth. Without Jungkook.

“Please don’t, Taehyung. Don’t leave me here.” Jimin tried again, but Taehyung was already walking away from him, squeezing his eyes shut and wincing at Jimin’s broken voice.

I have to do this.

Taehyung told himself, moving between the trees and bushes, looking at every little corner, trying to find something good enough for his friend.

“I’m sorry, Jimin.” He whispered, briskly rushing through the dark, his hands placed in front of him so he wouldn't bump into any tree. The Omega didn’t know how long he was wandering like this, barely visible moonlight being his only guide though this darkness as he felt thick bushes in front of him.

Taehyung stopped dead in his tracks, trying to feel with his hand if something was beyond them or if it was just some huge rock. Once his fingers slipped through and once there was no sharp thorn scratching at his skin, did Taehyung push forward, snapping his eyes and mouth shut.

After getting out of those bushes he was finally out of the forest as well and now, facing him, was nothing but a vast spacious field full of nothing. Taehyung could feel his heart dropping down to his stomach as he shook his head no, not believing that there was nothing out there that could help them. Digging his nails in the palm of his hand, Taehyung tried not to let the panic take over him, but his knees were shaking and he could feel sweat rolling down his back.

He had to hurry. He didn’t know how much time Jimin had, but this was already hard enough for him as it is. The fact that they won’t have any fire or warmth made Taehyung’s stomach coil with dread.

He has to find a dry place. He has to.

With that thought in mind Taehyung looked around himself, trying to figure out all of his options. Field was a big no. Jimin and him would be nothing but dead meat and Taehyung doubted there was anything dry over there.

Taehyung turned left and right, trying to find something good on the edge of the forest, but he couldn’t see anything from here. He decided to step towards the field, realizing if he walks further away from the woods he might be able to see something good.

All of his hopes were in vain though and there were no rocks or anything similar nowhere near him.

The Omega decided to go back closer to the forest and stick to its edge. If he can’t find anything dry then he’ll need to find a place that is least safe for them. There were lots of bushes and trees there, and some spaces were tucked into the forest which would be giving them a perfect amount of coverage. Choosing one that seemed the best, Taehyung dropped down on his knees, clearing out the snow and removing any leaves or sticks that might be a discomfort for Jimin.

Taehyung hated himself for not finding something better for his friend and for allowing him to give birth on the cold mosity floor, but there was really nothing he could do. He was running out of time and Jimin could already be giving birth right now or someone could have taken him.

“No.” Taehyung hissed out loud, roughly ripping the blankets from his backpack. He placed all of them carefully beside a tree, making sure there were no leaves or dirt on any of them as he left one blanket for Jimin in case the Omega got cold. Plus, they needed something to wrap the baby in later.

After a few more minutes and after Taehyung made sure everything looked as comfortable as possible he entered the field again, turning around and remembering how the place looked so he could recognize it later when he came here with Jimin.

Rushing over the field and back into the forest where the bushes were the thickest, Taehyung followed Jimin’s scent towards the same place where he left the Omega.

“Jimin!” Taehyung yelled, letting out a small sigh of relief when he saw his friend in the same position he left him in.

“Taehyung.” Jimin whimpered, raising his hand, trying to get Taehyung to step closer before the two Omegas hugged one another, trying to comfort the other one even though they have no idea what the rest of the night has in store for them.

“I found a good spot, Jimin. Come on.” Taehyung told him, grabbing the other backpack and wrapping his arm around his friend, helping him walk. Taehyung expected Jimin to have trouble walking, but the Omega was doing good so far as besides leaning more weight on his friend than usual.

“Alright, close your eyes, Jimin. The bushes are thick.” Taehyung explained, tightening his grip around Jimin as the Omega nodded his head, hiding his face in the croak of his friend’s shoulder. Together they stepped forward, wincing as sharp thorns slicked their skin and clothes.

Finally they were out of there and Taehyung briskly guided Jimin right, observing the forest and trying to find the place that he intended for the two of them to hide in. After another minute the Omega finally recognized the place and he let out a small sigh of relief, gently coaxing Jimin inside.

The pregnant Omega had his eyes wide open in surprise, not believing Taehyung actually managed to find something as good as this. Not only was it tucked in from the field, but some leaves and tall grass were giving an illusion that this little space was completely separated from anything else.

“Taehyung. This is amazing.” Jimin chuckled, glancing at his friend who shook his head no. For the first time tonight he finally felt like things were taking a turn for the better.

“The ground is wet and cold, but I couldn’t find anything better. I’m sorry, Jimin.” Taehyung sighed, tears shimmering in his eyes as the pregnant Omega cupped his friend’s cheeks. He gently wiped the tears away, massaging the soft skin before he stood up on his tiptoes and kissed Taehyung’s forehead.

“Thank you, Taehyung.” Jimin whispered, loud enough for only the two of them to hear as Taehyung's eyes gleamed with happiness. He and Jimin had known eachother since they were little kids, doing everything together and being inseparable even while they were fighting. The love he shared with Jimin wasn’t the same one he and Yoongi had, but it was just as strong and just as big. Taehyung would give up his life for his friend and he had no doubts Jimin would do the same.

“I don’t think anyone is following us anymore.” Jimin started, taking Taehyung’s offered hand as he slowly sat down on the blanket, scooting over until his back was pressed against the tree. While the Omega was waiting for Taehyung his eyes were studying every little detail in the forest around him. He listened to every sound and he was certain that they were alone.

“It was probably nothing then.” Taehyung agreed with Jimin, the corners of his lips lifting up. He really wanted to hope that they were alone, but he felt someone’s presence that time and he knew his instincts were never wrong. Taehyung could only hope that whoever it was didn’t find them here.

“Can you take off your pants, Jimin? I need to see how dilated you are.” Taehyung explained as Jimin nodded his head. He and Taehyung worked together on taking off his pants as the Omea shivered against the cold air once he was exposed to it. His taller friend quickly grabbed one last blanket, placing it over Jimin’s stomach and legs, trying to warm him up a little bit.

“You’re already halfway there, Jimin.” Taehyung said, smiling up at Jimin who didn’t look as excited as Taehyung did.  He just looked tired, his hair was sticking to his pale face and there were dry marks of tears on his cheeks.

“Do you want some water?” Taehyung cleared his throat, looking through his backpack as Jimin nodded his head, taking the bottle and drinking some of it.

“How about now?” Jimin asked Taehyung and the other Omega was confused for a second before he chuckled, realizing what Jimin wanted.

“It doesn’t go that fast, Jimin.” Taehyung explained as Jimin huffed, rubbing his huge belly and trying to calm himself down. He couldn’t believe that, less than an hour ago, he was sitting on his porch, enjoying the quiet night and now he was about to give birth in the middle of the forest because their pack was attacked.

“It hurts though.” Jimin whimpered, trying to find a comfortable position, but the ground underneath him was wet and harsh and he could feel it seeping through the blankets.

“I know, but it will all soon be over.” Taehyung assured him, fixing the blanket so most of Jimin’s legs were covered before he placed Jimin’s bare feet underneath his coat, warming them up.

“I love you so much.” Jimin cried, realizing what Taehyung was doing for him as the other Omega smiled, tightening his grip on Jimin’s ankle.

“I love you too, Jimin.” Taehyung said back as Jimin winced at the sharp pain in his belly that made him let out a small breathless sigh.

“Are you alright?” Taehyung asked him, getting closer to him as Jimin shook his head no.

“I just want all of this to stop.” He hissed, gripping the blanket and noticing how wetness was appearing on random spots as the material soaked up the moist coming from below them.

“It’ll all be over before you know it, Jimin. I promise.” Taehyung assured him, checking Jimin again and noticing he was getting more and more dilated.

“I feel like I need to push, Taehyung.” Jimin said, moving a little as Taehyung shook his head no.

“You can’t. You’re not open enough yet.” Taehyung answered, biting the inside of his cheek nervously. He had been a midwife for the past three years and he already knew by heart how much a person had to be dilated before pushing. Jimin was close to it, but not enough and Taehyung could only hope that the Omega would listen to him and not push unless he told him to.

“How long.” Jimin groaned, throwing his head back and closing his eyes.

“I don’t know. A few minutes.” Taehyung said gently, his heart skipping a beat when he heard something moving on his right. He narrowed his eyes at the bushes, trying to see anything beyond them, but it was too dark and Jimin whimpering in pain brought his attention back to the Omega.

“Jimin, I need you to be quiet.” Taehyung whispered, staring at Jimin’s eyes as the brown haired man’s bottom lip woubled. But he silently nodded his head anyway, trying to keep as quiet as possible as he looked around himself.

The two Omegas stood like that for a few minutes, listening to the world around them and just when Taehyung thought they were safe he saw it.

A dark shadow appeared from the field, stepping over the tall glass until it was a few meters away from Taehyung who couldn’t even scream from how terrified he was.

There was a giant rogue wolf in front of them. Its teeth bared as drool dripped down on the cold grass as its eyes moved from Jimin and Taehyung. The taller man didn’t know who the wolf would attack first, but he knew he was ready to defend his friend with his life as he shifted in his seat so he was hiding Jimin away with his form. And, as the wolf sneered in anger, Taehyung could only hope that someone comes and saves Jimin in time before he dies along with Taehyung.

Notes:

Who is that wolf?
Will Jimin and Taehyung make it?
Will someone come and save them or will they be forced to fight all alone?
I hope you enjoyed !!
