Chapter Text
The gentle wind entered the windows of the house, cool and relaxing.
Dean woke up to the coldness of the wind. He groaned and sat up in his bed.
"Did I leave it open?" He asked himself. But of course not he didn't leave it open.
Since he was already awake, he decided to get ready for his work at the garage.
After his shower, he put on a grey tshirt and black jeans with a shirt unbuttoned.
He could already smell the aroma of the breakfast his brother was preparing.
Were you expecting his mother? Well let me tell you their past story in short.
Dean and Sam Winchester. Sons of Mary and John Winchester. Everything was perfect in their lives until heir mom was killed by a demon, thier father was killed while he was in search of that demon...As Dean and Sam continued their search, following the clues their father had left them, they ended that chapter.
Since then, Sam went back to law school to complete his education and Dean works at his father's best friend, Bobby Singer's garage.
Back to present.
"Good morning, Sammy."
"Deann."
"What?"
"Don't call me that."
"Oh then I'll definitely call you that. Anyway what did you prepare for breakfast?"
"Actually we forgot that we are out of supplies, I mean groceries. So I ordered food. Is that okay."
"Anything's okay if you're okay."
Sam smiled and they ate their breakfast. "See you in the evening Dean."
"See ya, take care."
And Sam left for his college.
Dean poured himself a cup of coffee. It is at this time he rethinks his decisions in life. Sam got his life back and what about him? He doesn't remember what he wanted to become, how his school life was, his childhood, of course he remembers the bits and pieces of it but he really wants to go back.
Dean sighs in defeat as he really can't go back now. He rubs the ring in his ring finger.
"At least I should've remember who gave this. Fuck."
Dean locks the front door and heads to his baby. Don't get this wrong. It his first love. His Chevy Impala.
Dean started the engine and smiled as he drove towards his work place.
After half an hour of his drive, ge reached the garage, parking his car right next Bobby's.
"Good morning, Bobby." "Good morning, son. You're early." "Yeah." Bobby smiled and went to a coustomer who just arrived.
Dean never saw an accident vehicle come to their garage. He was curious and he had no work so he went and stood beside Bobby.
"Uhhm...hello." The man cleared his throat. Dean looked at the lady, looks like she was crying all night. Her eyes were puffy and red. "Can you just keep this car? Or maybe destroy it?" In Bobby's garage we don't destroy cars. We take time and repair it and sell it for half rate.
"Oh may I ask why?" Dean could see the man was trying to hold back his tears. "Our...uhm our son died.....and" he coughed, Bobby motioned Dean to get water but the man stopped him, "No it's okay. Thank you." He turned to Bobby. "Our son died due to the car accident and it was this car. So I don't want this bad memory haunting my wife....so can you?"
"Is it alright if we Repair and sell it." "Do whatever you want, thank you. We'll leave now." Dean looked at Bobby as if he was expecting him to say something but nah...he just stood there and watched them call a taxi home.
Bobby turned to Dean, "You wanted a rise?" Dean nodded. "This project is yours." He motioned towards the car. "Really, Bobby?" "Do I look like I am joking?" Dean shook his head, excited. "Get to work my boy." -
Dean looked at the body of the car, it was crushed.....Dean didn't want to think what hit it or whatever. He looked at the bonnet, it was like it didn't even exist. "Hope the boy's soul rest in peace." -
It was the luck time and Dean went to his favourite place for the break. It was the Harvelle diner. He ordered his usual and waited for the order.
It was a veg burger and a slice of apple pie. It was literal heaven. "All good at work, Dean?" "Yup. It's really delicious." "Thank you." She left for attending the other tables.
Dean paid the bill and stepped out so he can return back to work.
----
It was night, and Dean returned home picking up the groceries on his way back home.
Dean reached home, kept the bag on the kitchen stand and went to freshen up. Dean had no other work that night so he took a beer from his fridge and switched on the tv.
"Hey Dean, can I go out?" "Where to?" Dean raised his eyebrow in question. "Jess's party." "Be home by 9?" "Yesss thank you!."
Sam excited when upstairs to his room to get ready. "I'm leaving." "Have fun."
Dean was on his fourth bottle of beer. He forgot he has work the next day. He was watching tv and cheering for his team in the football game.
When he sat down, getting the fifth bottle just in case he finishes the current one, in the corner of his eyes, he saw someone. Someone sitting right beside him, watching tv with him.
This sobered him up in an instant. He slowly turned his head towards his side, hoping it'll be his brother but unfortunately it wasn't...
