Work Text:

"Kunikuzushi"

A soft beautiful voice spoke. He stared at the face of the person who talked to him.

Such a gentle and kind gaze was directed at him.

He felt like a child. Thunder was beating but he felt safe. With his mother. Kunikuzushi smiled shyly at the woman, making her shoot a confused gaze at him. She still managed to smile back though.

Kunikuzushi was a child with beautiful long hair and violet dark eyes just like his mother's. He felt so happy that he was in her presence. They say his mother was the mighty Raiden shogun but he couldn't see her as someone so scary with how she treated him.

That was all in the past now. Scaramouche couldn't care less. SHE created him so she could have at least thought about staying with him. But the only first thing his mother did was betrayed as soon as she got the chance. It greatly hurt Kunikuzushi to see the gentle gaze he really loved turned into that gaze of disappointment. The good time was something he wanted to go back to basically the time when he was first created. Was it because of how he was? was this his fault? was something he'd ask himself when the Raiden shogun looked at him that way. He hated that look. Her eyes were filled with such...pity.

He hated his mother.

But you know it wasn't true. He was still a child at heart after all.

A child that was just deeply hurt. A misunderstood boy.

He knew when things started to go wrong. He felt it. But he didn't say anything.

He tried not to think about it but Kunikuzushi was hurting.

All he wanted to do was be the reason her gaze soften. He just wanted to be his mother's child.

He was just Kunikuzushi after all.

Notes:

This is just some short writing I did. Would've made it longer if it weren't for my mommy issues. Thanks for reading then.
