Work Text:

Hermione was a curious person, she abhorred people who misused the phrase "curiosity killed the cat" as the full proverb was "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back" which for her was the motto to live life for. She had developed a natural tendency to ask questions, find out things that others might not have wanted her to know, and poke her cute little nose (*oh please, everyone is entitled to be a little vain*) in places that it didn't belong and once all the knowledge was gained and her curiosity satisfied then rest and onwards to the next target (*oops friends*). But right now she was cursing her natural tendency as more often than not it got her into trouble as she stared at her friend's face (*Do you even know her anymore?!*).

She had seen Fleur lurking in the Diagon Alley at the corner of Knockturn Alley and the way she was furtively looking around raised her suspicions (* *ahem* curiosity*) and she decided to follow her discreetly deeper into the Knockturn alley towards a building which was shrouded in the dark in a way that unless you knew it was there you would probably overlook it. Her mind reminded her about the dangers lurking about the alley(*she was a BIG WITCH and she can handle anything that the alley could throw her way*) so on she continued towards satisfaction ("DOOM!! DOOM!!") and the view of the veela behind was not a bad one to follow.

Fleur ducked under the tattered tapestry at the entrance and it was so ratty and dirty that Hermione would have thought Fleur would have never been caught dead in a place like this, her curiosity even more piqued ("DOOM!! DOOM!!", *stop that!*). Now she had to naturally follow the platinum blonde inside, barely noticing the name of the establishment “Candy Bar” to find out all the insidious things the French witch was up to and then maybe use that to initiate a conversation that would lead to them dating, marriage, and possibly a couple of dirty blond sprogs with her brains and Fleur's looks ("stop daydreaming and focus!!" *shut up!*).

What she found inside was furthest from her wildest imaginations (*her imagination was quite wild, thank you, not all the books she read were rated PG*) but finding a full-on lesbian bar x cosplay x BDSM dungeonesque place in the middle of the Knockturn was something definitely not she would have thought of. Her brain stuttered to a halt (N notes down the time and date, it was a once-in-a-blue-moon activity), cheeks reddening up, heat pooling in places that it didn't have a business to be. She grounded to a stop so fast, making her shoes produce such an awful high pitch squeak that probably had cats in the two-mile radius covering their ears and bringing all the eyes in the establishment on her.

Fleur turned around and beckoned her over before the manager could intervene loudly proclaiming “it's okay, she’s with me, Hermione come here” and not trying to make a scene she obeyed (*gasp it's just the beginning* "Oh shut up!"). She tried to explain but Fleur just waved her off saying she noticed her following from the minute they turned into Knockturn and was waiting for a chance to pull the brunette into a corner. How she managed to say that while laughing her cute ass off was quite perplexing to Hermione but she refrained from commenting as Fleur had just saved her hide from being thrown out and sassing the savior of the moment won't do.

She tried to make sense of the rapid word spitfire coming from Fleur telling her about this place, culture, and the membership, and for a change, her brain couldn't keep up with the twists and turns the conversation was taking. She just kept looking blankly at Fleur till Fleur gave her a tap on the head asking her if she was alright? ("who in their sane mind will be alright with so many upheavals in a short time, oh right 'sane' never applied here, did it?" *shut up and let me concentrate!!!*) She gave a wry grin back, still confused but decided to bluster through pretending she understood everything that was going on.

As Fleur explained what the club was all about and put a reassuring arm around the brunette (*she's touching me, she's so close, she smells good, I'm going to melt* N- "FOCUS!!!" **pout* fine*), Hermione would later claim it was the ambiance and her brain turning into goop which made her curl up into the embrace while whispering sweet nothings to herself. Fleur just looked on wondering what she should do next and the other patrons were still looking on trying to make sense of the situation.

Fleur shook Hermione awake (*BOOO!! BOOO!!*) asking her to focus, and pay attention- apparently if an unaccompanied witch was in the establishment, she was fair game for all the personnel to chat up, something which Hermione wanted to avoid at all costs, and she noticed something was getting Fleur all up in a tizzy as well but she chalked it up to herself interrupting Fleur's plans and possibly date.

Fleur explained the different dynamics of the club (*As if she didn't know about it but if the blonde goddess wanted to say something she will listen* "*whipping sound*") and told her that she was a switch but usually preferred DOM and she was at the club looking for a new partner. Hermione hadn't realized that Fleur's last relationship had ended, they weren't keeping in touch as much with busy lives and different social circles (*YAY!! she's single and ready to date again! mental cheerleading practice commence*). Fleur told her that in order to stay with her for the evening (*of course like she would want anything else*), she would have to be her partner for the evening.

Never to back down from a new experience ("Curiosity and DOOM") she took on Fleur's offer of being her partner, still not fully understanding where this was going but hopefully, in a direction where the sprogs are still on the table, she followed Fleur into a private booth. All through the walk, she was studiously trying to avoid the eyes of the ladies following both of them, and the wolf whistles (* oh grow up*) as the curtain closed cutting off sounds from the main area and bringing her focus back to gorgeous veela in front of her who was smirking and checking her out unabashedly.

Fleur’s first command was “On Your Knees” and Hermione was no longer sure if this curiosity will ever be satisfied.
