I hope you enjoy the prolog and get hooked to this idea because I for one have no clue what im doing lol-

Chapter 1: Prolog

Chapter Text

Maple leaves were flying down gently upon a road, layer upon in dried mud and broken tiles. You could hear an oxcart come from one side, passing a small figure. The small figure was wearing rags, held together by nothing but a pin needle. The small figure was dirty and dragged a large sack behind them. The small figure was a girl with dirt covered brown hair that was tied together lazily with two sticks. She was walking alone upon a road between two villages. Her name was Fennel, once known for her upmost fortune and royalty, she now walked the path of a poor person. Carrying the guilt of her dead family on her back, she runs upon the nameless road on this country. She was only 4 when she saw her kingdom of Bhutan burning down and her parents slaughtered in mere sight. Back then the rebels took over the kingdom, leaving behind nothing but ashes and broken structures. That was 10 years ago. Fennel had learned how to live in poverty easily. After the rebels won and seized victory over the entire kingdom of Bhutan and hate followed soon after. All royal family blood was either slaughtered or discriminated. Depending on their sins some were even tortured in unspeakable ways. The little princess didn’t do anything and so was spared of death. What had the royal family done. To put it simply, they made the life of their people a living hell. After centuries a small group of rebels had formed and they fought against the cruel ruling of the kingdom. A man lifted his leg and lazily put it onto his knee, leaning back and saying with a smug face “Now children! Do not do the same mistake the royal family had once done! Or else..” The children who formed a small crowed of people around this strange man came closer. “Or else.. THE REBELS WILL CATCH YOU! IF YOU EVER MISBEHAVE OR HURT ANOTHER THEY WILL FIND YOU! AND YOU WILL BE PUNISHED WAA!”. The man screamed making a scary face gesture. The children were shocked at this revelation to the story. Some cried to the sudden change if tone and expression while others sat there, dumbfounded. Soon a voice came and the children quickly ran away except one girl. She looked up at the man and in a quiet yet clear voice she spoke “uncle why must you always scare the children away with my story? And why do you make me seem so lonely? I have you uncle Judar!”. For a moment the man looked at the girl before bursting out in laughter. “HAHAh… ahhh.. I’m sorry, I’m sorry! You’re right Fannel! I should stop terrorising the children from every town or one day I’ll get in trouble with their parents!” He let out a few chuckles before calming down. After the great escape from the torn down palace of Bhutan, Fannel and her Uncle, Judar, were always on the road looking for a place to one day settle in. They’ve been on the look out for 10 years now and have long moved away from the once beloved and hated kingdom of Bhutan.
