Work Text:
Back laid against the floor, feeling sore and tired after working on some papers she was sent hours earlier, Sam finally left work and headed straight home, she herself insisted on living alone with only herself to fend for, her family however, was against the decision, but she still did it anyway, so far, her life has been smooth
Now that she has nothing to think about, what leisure thing should she do this time? It was usually Karate, but her body has been worked up too much that it doesn't have the physical capacity to even function, so that's off the list, the second thing she has in mind is scrolling through social media, but that's unproductive, it won't work, other options are either physical, or just pure time wasters, there's nothing interesting that's propped up in the latter's brain
She thought of that little thing deeper, cooking? I mean it is a great idea but she didn't want to burn the kitchen and have more expenses to pay for, gaming isn't her thing either, every single great or stupid idea was dismissed like a flicker, it raged on Sam's head and it feels like it is never going to stop
But of course she has to do something, so she decided to make a sandwich and scroll through social media to pass the time, at that moment, the doorbell rang, she approached and opened the door, only to see her former rival on the porch, just wearing a jacket.. on a hot afternoon, it was quiet for a bit, just the two staring at each other (and Sam mentally blushing on how gorgeous her pose looked) but then she broke it up
".. Why are you wearing a wooly jacket?"
"It's not that hot, you just can't bear the heat"
"Tory.. You see people around you sweating and you're chilling with a thick, wooly jacket, What the fuck is wrong with you?" Sam nudged her head then covered her face in one hand
"Oh goddamn it, just forget the jacket okay? I heard you were on break and I kinda missed hanging out with you so.." Tory scratched the back of her neck, "I think you get what I mean"
What a perfect opportunity, she has someone to talk to, so she let her in, asking her if she needs anything, she could just get whatever on the fridge, she went back to eating her sandwich and scrolling through instagram, The other gets herself something, then sitting on the other side of the table, Sam continues to scroll through the app, not realizing her visitor is blantly staring at her like she's the most beautiful being the world
She placed down her phone and looked at Tory, and they ended up staring at each other, their hearts felt shot, the other's throat felt burning and urgency wanted to win the battle against restraint, as for Sam, she immediately stood up and backed out, running to her room covering her face, she wanted to forget she even stared back
Well that was one weird moment.
