"Hyung help meeee." Kai whined, holding on to a slightly tired but endeared Soobin.
Despite being jostled like a cheap toy, there was really nothing the younger could do that would make him angry.
"What happened to your old dorm again?" He asked in a bored tone making Kai roll his eyes and pout. Soobin flicked his forehead for that.
"I told you, I'm tired of staying in the school dorm. It's pretty inconvenient for a place so expensive."
"So what do you want me to do?" Soobin said calmly, already used to the other's theatrics. Kai's face brightened and he leaned in closer.
"Help me get a place off campus."
"You can't afford any place off campus that is close." Soobin said pointedly. He started cutting up his lunch and shoveled some of it into his mouth.
"Help me find a cheap place off campus. That is close." Kai corrected. Soobin looked at him incredulously.
"And how am I supposed to do that?"
"If I knew, I wouldn't be asking you hyung come on!"
"Kai-yah I love you and would love to help but there's no way I-" he cut himself off when he noticed the person that just entered the cafe. The absolutely love sick smile he had on his face was a dead giveaway of who it was.
"Yeonjun hyung hey we're over here!" He said, waving over his boyfriend kinda awkwardly. Said boyfriend noticed them and smiled while walking towards them.
"Hey baby. Hey Kai." He kissed Soobin's cheek and the alpha melted instantly. Kai cringed at their display then smiled brightly at him.
"Hi Hyung." He said cutely, earning him a cheek kiss too as Yeonjun settled in his seat. The omega's pink hair looked so fluffy, Kai wanted to touch it. He absently wondered if he should also dye his hair. The brown was kinda tiring.
"What were you guys talking about before I got here?" The omega asked while eating out (stealing) of Soobin's plate.
"Kai wants to move out of his dorm but he wants a cheap apartment off campus. Please tell him it's not possible with his allowance and salary so he can stop whining." Soobin said hoping for backup.
"You want to move out?" Yeonjun faced Kai, puzzled. "I thought you liked it there. You never complained in your first year and you even said it was more convenient for you."
Kai flushed and rubbed his arms.
"Yeah but that was first year and I didn't want to complain so Soobin hyung and my parents wouldn't worry. Most of the guys in my dorm are gross. They're super noisy too and the walls are paper thin. Why do you think I always decide to come over to your place?"
"I'm guessing not our loving company?"
Kai gave him a deadpan look at that.
"That explains why you're always at our place I guess." Yeonjun said taking it in stride. His boyfriend… not so much.
"I thought you liked our company." Soobin said affronted. Kai rolled his eyes and moved closer to him.
"There there, Soobin hyung. I come over for both the company and the lack of screams when I'm trying to work on music. You also have free wifi." Kai tried to soothe the pouting alpha. Soobin hmphed and crossed his arms.
"Yeah yeah we still can't find an apartment close enough to school that isn't expensive and I'm not letting you rent an apartment with some unknown person."
"But hyung!"
"No. You don't know what kind of crazy people we have in the city, I wont let you." Soobin said firmly.
"I'm not a child." Kai frowned and folded his arms too. Soobin started releasing protective pheromones but as a beta, it didn't affect Kai that much. He just scoffed and held his ground.
Before things could escalate any further, Yeonjun cut in.
"Hey hey no need to argue. Look Kai, I'll ask around and I'm sure I'll find a good enough apartment close by for you. No promises though." Yeonjun said.
Kai perked up at that, "Really hyung?"
"Really. And Soobin, I know you're worried but I'm sure you'll trust my judgement right? If I find someone, I'll make sure the person is safe and the place nice enough for Hyuka to stay. Also we agreed no alpha posturing out in public when none of us are in danger. Stop it." He said, nuzzling the sulking alpha to make him calm down.
"But-" Soobin stopped when he was hit with one raised eyebrow from his boyfriend and a big pout from Kai. He knew a losing battle when he saw one and sighed.
"Fine. If this person is fine by you, they're fine by me." He grumbled not sounding happy about it at all but giving in anyway. Kai squealed at that and hugged him.
"Thank you hyung!" He was so glad his hyung was weak. Soobin continued grumbling but still pulled him in closer.
"You're lucky you're cute."
"Heh I know."

"Hyung."
"Yeah?"
"When you dragged me out of my dorm, you said you found a place for me to stay."
"I did." Yeonjun replied as they got out of the car.
"This place is way out of my league, what were you thinking?!" Kai whisper-screamed as they entered the building Yeonjun said his potential roommate asked to meet. The omega just rolled his eyes and pulled him towards the elevator.
"Just trust me. Tyunie said he doesn't expect you to pay half the rent anyway, he just wants to meet you since he's doing me a favour. Don't worry about it."
Kai wasn't so sure about that. The interior of the building looked so nice and he's pretty sure if he drops out of school and works double shifts at the bakery, he's still not going to be able to afford even half of the rent of the apartments here.
They kept walking until they finally got to the apartment Taehyun, Yeonjun's friend, said to meet. Yeonjun types in the passcode, because apparently he's that close to this Taehyun guy (who Kai has never met which is strange because he thought he knew all Yeonjun's close friends) and walked in. Kai followed and as soon as he stepped in, he was hit with a strong wave of alpha pheromones.
"Woah." He blinked, a little bit disoriented.
Even Soobin doesn't emit so much pheromones unless there was some kind of danger. Was the alpha in trouble? He walked towards the room where the scent seemed to be the strongest but stopped when he was about to open it.
He doesn't know this alpha. He had never met him before. With his agitated state based on his scent, it was probably not the best option to open it right now. What if he punched him?
It was best to let Yeonjun open it instead. He wouldn't punch his friend. Probably.
He pulled at the omega's sleeves and pointed at the door knob. The omega looked a little puzzled but shrugged it off and moved to open the door but the person inside beat him to it.
Stepping out of the room was the most gorgeous person Kai had ever seen. Big, beautiful eyes, a nice physique and the most perfect face ever. Kai was, to put it quite literally, gobsmacked.
"Hyung!" Hot gorgeous guy said with a bright smile and hugged Yeonjun who giggled and ruffled his hair. Kai watched them awkwardly until said most gorgeous human pulled away from the hug and looked directly at him.
He felt his throat close up, oh this was bad.
"Hi," a slight grin "You must be Kai. I'm Taehyun." He stretched a hand out to greet him.
As soon as Kai felt that strong hand grip his and saw how that bright smile captured him, he knew instantly that he was in trouble.
