Noa Okamoto ( She's his 74 year-old grandmother who likes to occasionally bully him about whatever is going on in school. She's the only person he likes from his mother's side of the family. )
Tsubaki Okamoto ( His 30 year-old mother. He rarely ever heard from her since she divorced his father, and doesn't like her anyways since she used to abuse him. Kaneko never quite knew what her quirk was before she up and left but he does know it had something to do with fire and spices. )
Masami Sasaki ( His 26 year-old father. The man is soft-spoken and possibly one of the gentlest people anyone could ever meet. He's also very naive and nervous despite his age, and loves it when Kaneko makes it his mission to spend time with him atleast once a week. It's only fitting that his quirk is literally named Softening. )

PERSONALITY
Kaneko is someone most would describe as a pushover and if they'd ever say it to his face they'd find out just how wrong they are. He looks almost exactly like his father which doesn't help the claim, but he isn't soft in any way unless he's with his father or alone.
He's usually very standoffish, and doesn't want to be near anyone or anything since he's always cautious of just about everything.
It doesn't help that he was abused mentally and physically, making him wary of physical contact and anyone trying to befriend him. He also will blatantly refuse to be alone with someone unless the door to whatever room their in is open, another traumatic quirk he'd picked up.
He does allow Denki to touch him and drag him around by the wrist, and give him tight bear hugs or soft morning hugs that make him want to melt into the embrace though. And if he happens to be in a room with only Kirishima and the other boy closes the door he isn't going to remind him to open it, not to mention Sero is probably the only person he has enough trust in to tell his past to without worrying if he'll tell someone else.
