Chapter Text
Today was it. Today was the day she'd finally get her project finished. Just a few more mechanical parts, and it was done. She set off towards the nearby scrapyard, to see if she could find anything. Though, when searching, all she could find was 3 out of the 5 she needed. What's left is an audio component, and a sensor for face recognition. This is something Zea has been working on for months, but now, as long as she can get what she needs, she can finish it today. She's making this in hopes of not being lonely anymore. Sadly, that is something she was for almost her entire life. Though, she vowed to change it today. Or tomorrow, depending on when her project becomes fully functional. Summer is coming soon, and Zea just really needs someone to hang out with. Once she got what she needed later on, she took time to carefully put everything into place. After a few swears and small electric shocks, she stepped back to admire her creation. What she made was a robot that looked like a realistic human, minus the few glowing lines to show its robotic nature. "Well, now that it's finally done..I can get some sleep.." she said tiredly. She yawned, and headed to her room. Once Zea got to her room, she looked at the time. 10:30 a.m. It was too early to sleep, but she didn't care. After countless all-nighters, sometimes running on only a few hours of sleep and coffee, she just didn't care what time it was, just as long as she could get some sleep. She took off her glasses and placed them on the nightstand, flopped onto her bed, and passed out.

Next day

In the lab, the lifeless mechanical creature layed there on the metal bed. The lines started pulsing, like it somehow was alive. Wasn't long before it started moving, and then its eyes opened. As if self-aware, it looked at itself, and then looked around the place. Zea, at her little desk, heard and looked over. She jumped up and hurried over when she saw that her creation was awake. "It..it worked! You're awake! Oh, this is just perfect!" she said, very happy about this situation. The creature got up, and stood there in front of her. She remembered how realistic she made it, and got a bit flustered. Zea walked away, but came back with clothes. Dark blue shirt, black sweatpants. She let the creature change. "So..hello." she waved awkwardly. The robot smiled and waved back. "Right..I don't think I ever put together your spe-" she was cut off. "Hi there. Do I have a name yet?" it said. Sounded human, not a trace of robot in its voice. "Oh..uh..how about..Ryuko?" she said. He nodded. "From what I can tell, you are Zea. Very smart and creative. Created a functional mechanical lifeform that can have its own thoughts and things of that sort." he said. Zea blushed, being a bit embarrassed. She led Ryuko up into the main home, and sat him down on the couch, sitting beside him. It was like he was an actual human. She was proud of herself. "So..what now?" he said. Zea thought for a moment. "Well, I could tell you my story. How about that? It would give you more of an idea to what kind of person I am, and my motives for creating you, and just what I do in general." He nodded. "Sounds like a good idea. Go ahead, tell me."
Zea just sort of sat there for a moment, as if trying to remember her entire life up until this point, and wondering how to even start telling the story. "Ah...well, about that. Um..I have no clue where to even start." she said. "How about...your life as a kid? What led you to this point?" Ryuko suggested. Zea shrugged. "Not a bad idea. Well then, to start off, I had a pretty normal childhood, minus the few hardships." she began.
