A rumor has been spreading around that a special party will be held to celebrate the success of Enhypen's tour, the members are ecstatic to say the least. For Sunghoon however, he suddenly felt uneasy. Of course he is happy that their tour became a huge hit after talking about it for so long, but when the management told them that they will be hosting a party, Sunghoon got cold feet.
He would normally be fine with a small gathering a.k.a his members, but there will be a larger number of people attending and he was not happy about that.
Sunghoon had to come up with a plan; A plan that would not only help him get through the night, but also to avoid any awkward tension from anyone. So he called the person that he knew would be a perfect fit for this scenario.
"Hello?" A deep voice spoke at the other end of the line.
"Soobin hyung, it's me, Sunghoon." The young man said, feeling his heart rate rise from being nervous. "Oh! Sunghoon, it's nice to hear your voice. How are you these days?" Soobin asked with a sweet tone in his voice.
Sunghoon wished he was lying when he thought his colleague's voice made his heart flutter, he cleared his throat before he answered, "I'm doing well thank you for asking. I actually called you to ask you a favor."
Sunghoon then proceeded to tell Soobin the whole party situation, Soobin listened to his friend attentively, knowing that they both shared similarities when it comes to spending time with a crowd. "I understand the whole thing, and I'm willing to help you." Soobin said on the other line. "So… what's the plan?"
Sunghoon took a deep breath and spoke, "I need you to be my fake date at this party." It was silent for a moment, it made Sunghoon even more nervous by the minute. Soobin chuckled which resulted with Sunghoon's heart beating loudly. "That sounds like fun. I'm no actor, but I'll do my best to put up a good act." Soobin agreed, making his friend sigh with relief.
"Great, the party will start tomorrow at 5:30PM. Think you can manage to make it in time?" Sunghoon asked, taking a seat on his bed. The older male hummed as a reply, Sunghoon bit his lips at the thought of seeing him at the party;
What would he wear? How will he make things less awkward between them? Will he make Soobin uncomfortable?
These concerns popped up in Sunghoon's mind and made him doubt for a moment. He was caught up in his thoughts that he was unaware of Soobin calling out to him.
“Sunghoon~ Are you doing okay?” Sunghoon snapped out of his trance and stuttered, “Y- Yeah! I’m okay hyung. I’ll see you at the party, yeah?” “Sure thing, see you tomorrow then!” Soobin said as they both ended the call. The room went silent for almost 5 minutes until Sunghoon laid face down on his pillow, holding it tightly and screamed in delight. “I can’t believe I actually asked him out, what the heck has gotten into me?” He pondered, his voice muffled by the pillow. He looked up from his bed and glanced at the clock on his desk. It was 10 o’ clock in the evening and he had a lot of time to prepare. He decided to sleep his worries away by snuggling onto his blanket and hoped for the best.

The clock struck at exactly 5 o’ clock in the evening and Sunghoon could hide away any second. There’s a large number of people who came by to congratulate them for their tour, including their seniors. “Sunghoon~” He turned around to find Jungwon wearing a white sweater and black jeans, paired with white converse. “Do you wanna join us at our table? We were just chatting with Seventeen and Stray Kids sunbaenim. They were wondering where you’ve been.” The young leader mentioned with a smile.
Sunghoon shook his head, “I’d love to, but I have to decline the offer. I’m waiting for someone you see.” Jungwon understood and patted his back softly. “If you ever change your mind, I’ll be saving a seat for you. Alright?” Jungwon offered, earning a soft smile from his co-member. He waved and went back to his table, where the other members were seated. Sunghoon sighed and went to get a drink.
He poured himself 2 glasses of sprite and just before he could take a sip from his glass, the door swung open, catching the attention of almost everyone in the venue.
The members of Tomorrow x Together had arrived and everyone was in awe of their outfit, all of them were wearing a white suit, much similar to what they used to wear at their performance. Soobin was greeting everyone one at a time while searching for someone, the other members also greeted their friends along with the staff members who attended the party. When Soobin locked eyes with Sunghoon, he felt at ease;
The tall man walked towards him and stood a few centimeters away, leaving some personal space for the both of them. “You’re… finally here.” Sunghoon started, a shocked expression shown on his face. Soobin couldn’t help but laugh, “Yeah, I’m sorry if I kept you waiting. There was a little traffic on the way here.” He glanced at Sunghoon’s outfit that his lips twitched to a small smile;
He was wearing a gray dress shirt with a black jacket, black pants and black heels. His hair was slightly parted to the side, the makeup complemented his skin beautifully. If Soobin could choose a favorite facial feature from Sunghoon, it would most likely be his lips. “This might be a little more difficult than I initially thought.” He pondered as he glanced at Sunghoon’s face and admired the way his eyes sparkled under the neon lights coming from the spotlight.
“You look amazing this evening, I really love your outfit,” Soobin complimented as he kissed Sunghoon’s left hand. Sunghoon flinched a little due to the sudden gesture, which made his heart flutter twice as much as yesterday.
"W- Well… You look really handsome yourself, Soobin hyung." Sunghoon replied back. He looked down at his feet, hoping that Soobin wouldn't see his red tinted cheeks.
Soobin can tell how nervous his colleague is, so he decided to gently hold his hand. "Why don't we sit down, hm? Maybe we could sit with the other members, if you want to." Soobin suggested softly. Sunghoon quickly sneaked a peek at his hand that Soobin was holding and he could feel goosebumps throughout his body. "Sure, I don't mind hyung." He said, noticing Soobin nodding his head as they walked together towards the table.
Jungwon immediately saw the two of them on their way and smiled widely. "Sunghoon hyung, Soobin hyung!" He called excitedly, waving his hand. The two young men reached the table, Soobin pulled out a chair for Sunghoon to sit on. That caught the attention of most of the Enhypen members seated;
Not to mention, their other senior friends as well were impressed at Soobin being a gentleman towards Sunghoon. As Sunghoon thanked him and sat down, Soobin sat beside him while he continued to hold his hand. Sunghoon thought that his friend must've known he was not fond of a large crowd to begin with, which he was thankful for. He looked at his left hand once more and saw how Soobin's hand fit perfectly. Their fingers interlocked and Soobin's thumb caressing Sunghoon's hand as if he was calming him down; Sunghoon loved the subtle gesture.
Jungwon saw how quiet his friend was, a question popped in his head. "So, Sunghoon hyung. I'm curious, you and Soobin hyungnim are pretty close right?" He asked. Sunghoon looked up at the leader and swallowed, he was caught off guard for a minute. "Yes. Soobin hyung and I have a really close relationship with one another." He answered, watching for his friends' reaction.
Everyone at the table were impressed by Sunghoon's answer that Heeseung asked a follow-up question, "Both of you are close, which means… you guys are dating?"
The other members gasped while their seniors mumbled something to each other. Sunghoon felt everyone's eyes on him, he felt his throat closing up, preventing him to respond.
Soobin saw his discomfort and answered for him. "That's right, Sunghoon and I are dating. We've been dating for a while, we were just worried about how to tell you all." Soobin explained confidently.
At that moment, Sunghoon was speechless, he didn't expect Soobin to be this determined in his role. His response made Sunghoon's knees go weak and both of his ears and cheeks turned red. Ni-Ki turned to the both of them and smiled. "I'm quite shocked at how we just found out about your relationship now. Regardless, I'm really happy for the both of you." He said as he took his glass and raised his hand.
"Let's have a toast. To Sunghoon and Soobin hyung."

The party was going strong, almost all of the Enhypen members wanted to keep on having fun all night long. Sunghoon was busy watching them from a distance with a smile on his face, unaware that Soobin was approaching him. He felt a light tap on his shoulder and turned to see his close friend, who also had a smile on his face. It made Sunghoon feel warm inside; He couldn't explain it but it felt nice.
"Hey, thank you for standing up for me back there. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to answer the question." He said, laughing awkwardly. Soobin shook his head as he replied, "It's nothing, besides I'm just glad to see you have a good time." Soobin then glanced at Sunghoon's eyes, their hazel shade continued to shine beautifully under the neon lights. Soobin slowly looked down at his lips and felt his heart twitch;
"Sunghoon," He started as he cornered his colleague at a wall. "Forgive me, but… may I kiss you?" The younger male could feel his brain pestering him to answer immediately, yet not a single word came out of his mouth. The tension between them is almost unbearable. Just before Soobin could pull away from embarrassment, Sunghoon quickly cupped his cheeks and kissed him. Soobin's eyes widen at the younger's sudden action, but he eventually kissed back. It was a slow and passionate kiss yet both of them felt breathless as they wrapped their arms around each other.
Sunghoon slowly pulled away, admiring Soobin's face. It was clear that he was visibly sweating a little and his hands never left his waist, which Sunghoon didn't mind of course. He saw his colleague laugh and said, "This is going to sound odd, but I think that went really well. Don't you think so, Sunghoon?" The younger nodded and with a grin, he leaned forward to kiss Soobin once more. "I agree with you, hyung. Come to think of it, it gave me another idea." Sunghoon mentioned, tucking the older's hair behind his ear.
Soobin tilted his head and replied, "Oh? What would that be this time?" The younger chuckled to himself before he looked back at Soobin, who was anticipating what he has to say. "Why don't we spend time together often? This time, as a real couple. What do you think?" Sunghoon offered.
Soobin bit his lips as he imagined the scenario, seeing Sunghoon a lot more than usual is everything he could ever ask for. Not only that, that allows him to kiss and hug him whenever he wants. He raised Sunghoon's chin towards his face and answered, "I accept that offer. I have to warn you though, if we kiss any longer than usual, I might not be able to stop myself." Sunghoon smirked and said, "I'm looking forward to that, Soobin hyung~"
And from that moment onwards, Sunghoon is proud to say that this is his most memorable event to date.
