Work Text:
The 2 sat quietly on the bed together. The day was beginning to end and the sunset was visible through the small cracks and portholes of the ship surrounding them.
Chip sat on the edge of the bed, feet hanging off the side as he slipped off his shirt and is binder. He slipped on a big t-shirt that probably wasn't his, but who could be sure? (It wasn't his. It was the shirt Gillion had bought back in All Port.) Chip threw his shirt and binder towards his hamper, not really caring if it made it in or not.
He looked to Gil who, surprisingly, this whole time had been very quiet, save the sounds of his pen scribbling away in his journal. Chip shifted slightly so that he could lay between the wall and where Gillion was sitting on the bed. He adjusted himself so he was laying but so that he could also take a peak at Gillion's journal.
To his dismay, it seemed Gillion was writing in Primordial so he couldn't immediately tell what was being written. He turned to fully lay on his side so that he could press his forehead up against Gil's side.
"What are you writing about?" Chip asked, his voices muffled by the man he lay next to. "It's an adventure log," Gil answered sweetly "recently I've been thinking of my grandfather's writing, and it's inspired me to record my ventures."
Chip tried to hide the fondness that crept onto his face with little success. "Did you write about how pretty and strong and handsome and pretty you are yet?" Chip giggled. Gillion laughed back softly before replying "No, but if I ever publish these logs I'll be sure to include it in an exclusive copy for you." He then picked up Chip's hand, placing a gentle kiss on the top of it. Chip's face turned all different shades of pink, and in an act to preserve what little dignity he had left, grab Gillion's arm and wrap himself around it.
Gillion giggled quietly at the motion before letting the laugh fall into a sigh. He turned to his other side and blew out the small lantern, sending the room into a comfortable darkness. He shifted down into more of a laying position as he wrapped his arms around Chip.
"Goodnight, my pearl"
"Goodnight Gil."
