Work Text:
The future of music. That is what they called Miku.
But what she couldn’t understand is that if they called her the future of music, then why did they decide that they didn’t need her anymore. Singing was her passion, it was everything to her, so why… why did they take it away from her. After everything that she did, all the work she put into to be a singer, they tossed her aside as soon as she had belief in herself. It just didn’t make any sense.
She didn’t know what she would say to the others. How could she tell them that everything she had ever worked for was taken away like it was nothing. The others always helped her when she was in trouble or ever having doubts about herself, but how would they feel after they heard? Will they feel betrayed? Would they hate her for it? It was something she didn’t know, and something she didn’t want to find out.
What is she supposed to do now? What was there to do? Her whole life she thought music was her purpose, but without it, what is she? A nobody? A failure? She honestly didn’t know. All she knew was that she’s done singing. Why should she sing just for people to push her down? Why should she keep trying if she knows that nothing good will come out of it? Why should she continue if she was nothing but a girl… a girl with nothing?
