"I see your partner is still with you."
"He is," Bruce nodded, not even trying to hide he felt proud Gordon calls Edward and him 'partners'. "I would be so lost without him."
Edward was sitting on the passenger seat in the Batmobile, the Knight will soon return to his side after they successfully arrested their suspects of the moment and will now head back home to Alfred who watches over Stephanie during the time they fulfill vigilantism duties.
Jim Gordon smiled.
The policeman grew used to meet the former Riddler on official investigations, or to know it's to him Batman talks when speaking in his comms.
They parted, wishing each other good night after the latest shenanigans. Jim's smile didn't lower even after the Batmobile disappeared from his view.
He too, feels proud of Vengeance for becoming... so much more than what he used to be.
Clearly, the Bat seems happy since the past months, and obviously, this is more or less directly linked to the once rogue.
The father in Jim couldn't help being very happy for both those boys, seeing how they grow into better versions of themselves together.
