Chapter Text
Wilbur and Sally met during their younger years and grew up side by side, nothing broke them apart, not even a fight. Years later the two got even closer, hanging out a lot by themselves or with the other’s family. Kristen, Wilbur’s mother, always took a liking to her, just like how Sally’s mother did to Wilbur, causing the two mothers to become close friends as when they were children they’d have play dates every week.
Wilbur was currently 24, Sally being 25, the two were having a child which they were excited for, though the thing that was worrisome about it was, Wilbur was the carrier. The brunette never expected this since nobody he’d knew has never had this happen, but they still kept the child. Sally was a big support when it came to this, helping her husband get around and drive to the store to get him any snacks he craved dearly even at 9PM, she still loved him. Though. Whenever Wilbur wanted something like that, he never asked Sally, instead he’d try to get up and do it himself but never made it half way into doing so before she’d find out and do it for him, Wilbur felt as if he was forcing her to do so but she’d always comfort him and tell him she cared more about him at the moment.
It was the ninth month and the two were out for a dinner party for their friend Eret. The venue wasn’t far from society but it was in the woodland area. Before Eret could make a speech, the sound of glass smashing could be heard as many people stormed in, causing everyone to panic and run. Wilbur and Sally got separated, Wilbur ended up in a cave and hid there as it started to rain, the pure shock rushed through him, but with that he could also feel something else, the child was coming.
Minutes to nearly hours of agony went by slowly. Wilbur was all alone in this which stressed him out more. But after a bit, it was all over. His daughter, was born. Wilbur was dozing off as he kept a hand carefully placed on his daughter’s back, the small body moving up and down softly in a rhythm, keeping the jacket draped over the small body. Breathing out softly before staring out into the dribbling rain.
Kiss me once, than kiss me twice.
Than kiss me once, again.
It’s been a long, long time.
Haven’t felt, like this before.
Since I can’t remember when.
It’s been a long, long time.
After singing the soft lullaby, the brunette glanced down at his daughter, he knew she wouldn’t look like him, but that didn’t bother him in the slightest. Now all that mattered was hoping to seek help or his wife, Wilbur worried deeply about her, unsure of where she is and if she’s save or if the people had taken her or even shot her in the head.
It was the next day when Wilbur was able to fully start walking. He kept the jacket wrapped around the sleeping infant and ventured out, retracing his steps before finding the venue again. Police cars surrounded the area and before Wilbur could make it towards the cars, he heard someone shout his name.
“WILBUR!”
It was Sally. She looked disheveled and her once lovely dress was now torn, Sally ran over and embraced Wilbur in a tight squeeze, but Wilbur had to carefully and quickly push her away.
“S..Sally be careful..”
Wilbur spoke softly with a scratchy voice, pulling the jacket down to reveal their child. Sally was shocked before starting to tear up and glanced at Wilbur, going back to hug him in a more careful hug. Eret approached the three and asked Wilbur if he needed medical assistance, Sally interrupted and agreed quickly, even if Wilbur didn’t need it, she wanted to make sure her husband and daughter were okay. So, Eret called the paramedics over and they checked up on them, fortunately finding no problems. The police told them that the group who abruptly ruined the night hadn’t caused much damage and everybody was alive.
That night, Sally and Wilbur drove home, Wilbur was passed out whilst Sally drove and thought about the baby names. The name they chose was Faith.
