-Xanthe Blade-
“Why is there a huge crater there-”
You see, I’d only just gotten here, wherever this place is. Found a letter on my doorstep and just woke up here with some random faded memories. Not like I’m complaining, nothing really ever happened before I got here so I guess I’ll start a new life here. Made a friend though so I guess that’s good. But that still doesn’t explain why it looks like at least a thousand blocks of TNT had fallen in one control area.
Footsteps.
Why are there footsteps.
I jerk my head toward the sound and pull out my axe (I have an axe?) “What in the hell-”
Jade jumped out from behind a tree, sporting enough neon green clothes that one could mistake her for a Budgerigar if they had bad enough vision…like extensively bad vision to the point that you mistake a person for a bird-
“Dear god you scared me!” I exclaim.
Jade just laughed, throwing her head forward. “That was the goal!”
"Honestly don't know why I didn't expect you to pop up like that." I put my axe away and looked back at Jade. “Anyways, how’ve you been?”
“I’ve been well, how about you?”
“I’ve been alright.”
I look back at the crater that just casually sat right next to us. That looks like a good conversation starter. I thought.
“Ever wonder how it got like this? Dad never told me-” (who was my dad again?)
“Nope. My dads never told me either, but you gotta wonder what happened here.
I crane my neck over the ledge to peek down the huge hole. Now that’d be one hell of a fall.
“Yea. It looks like something real big went down, considering this goes all the way down to bedrock All dad ever told me was there was a really big disagreement and a lot of TNT was involved."
Jade also looked down the pit, her hair falling infront of her face. “Well anyone could tell you that. The thing my dad told me is to not trust goat men.”
“I think I remember seeing a photo of a goat man, actually.” I sat and thought for a moment, trying to recall the memory. “Yea, he was in a suit and seemed like he was giving a speech, kinda looked like he was a president or something. Maybe he wasn’t a very good one? I dunno.”
“I’ma guess he was terrible.” Jade responded casually.
“And I’ma agree with you. I just wish I could turn back time and see what happened, it looks like it was really interesting.”
Almost on cue, Jade pulled out a brown book with a teal swirl on the cover. The book was covered in dirt and looked like it hadn’t been used in years. “Also, found this book earlier-”
Xanthe looked at the book, staring at the swirl. “Woah, I swear I’ve seen that swirl before, I just can’t remember where. Probably something from when I was younger though.”
(This is a work in progress. I just felt bad for leaving it hanging. Please wait for more updates soon ♥️ -Alex)
