As Chad arrives late to a battle with this new villain, he discovers he is his hero team's sole survivor.
Everything he has fought to protect has been lost.
"Why does my heart cry (burn) !" he screams with anguish.
He's shed the cape and doned a cowl. If he has his heart torn from his chest, a villain he now must become.
