Changbin silently pushes the door open a little, he looks inside checking who is using the studio and then slips into the dance studio as quietly as possible, with his head down and eyes on the floor, he tries to be invisible as he heads for the table in the corner of the large room. But he  can hear the whispers start within the small group of trainees across the room as he puts his bag down but he doesn't acknowledge anyone else as he sits and pulls his headphones out of his bag, he puts them on and quickly finds a playlist on his phone before he digs through his bag to find his notebook and a pen. He's been in the company for a few weeks now and he knows how the other trainees talk about him, how most look at him, some with curiosity and some with pity, he hates it so much but he doesn't react to it, he can't, not if he wants to debut in the future. Some had even tried to befriend him at first but after a couple he let in, he closed himself off once more because they were only after information on him, (why he hasn't presented yet, how did someone like him get into the company) so now he stays alone. Changbin isn't an introvert, though he seems like it to others, in fact he had always been loud and too energetic as a child, he was always surrounded by friends. He was happiest surrounded by others. But now he chooses to be the opposite, not wanting to be hurt and lose friends again and again.

He stays sitting at the desk until it's dark outside, like he does most days, not moving from his spot, even as the other trainees in the room change, throughout the day. Changbin yawns as he checks the time on his phone, 8pm, realising he hasn't eaten yet today. He quickly packs his things up and heads home. He's only a street away when he gets the text from his mum telling him that his dinner is ready and to get his ass home or else. He smiles at it, a feeling of love and comfort settling in his bones.

In a world where everyone presents between the ages of 18-20 with a subgender (inner wolf) of either Alpha, Beta or Omega. Changbin found out he was different, he is 22 now, to most he’s still unpresented, broken. To a large number of Alphas and Betas he’s invisible, and those that do acknowledge him only do so to abuse or belittle him . He has no discerning scent, so Alphas simply aren't interested in him, which he’s grateful for, he has seen the harassment that other Omegas often get from some Betas and Alphas, especially in the entertainment industry. Even though Omegas have a lot of protection legally now most will join a pack to stop the harassment and while Changbin would love that he can't join just any old pack.

You see, the thing is, Changbin has presented like everyone else, he is officially an Omega, but he is a very rare kind of Omega, a Pure Omega. As far as they know, no other omega had presented as a Pure in over a century. He’d had his first heat two days after he turned 16, it was a long painful one, it lasted over two weeks which in itself was unusual, but he won't have another until he meets his fated mate. His scent is also now hidden, only his fated Alpha will be able to smell his scent until they are mated then it will release like a normal Omega, apparently the books say it's all down to his wolf refusing to show any part of itself to any other wolf. So to everyone he is unpresented, an anomaly to those who care enough to notice, his family and professionals had advised him to continue to live as if he hadn't  presented because a Pure Omega is so rare he would be in danger, people wanting to take advantage of his uniqueness.

 All the information recorded shows that a Pure Omega will remain the same as an unpresented person until or if they interact with their fated alpha, even in a small way, like being in the same room or even walking past them in a shop will trigger the Omegas scent glands to show and emit their scent, then they will slowly adapt and begin to change in ways no other Omega does, they can build muscle just like an Alpha. They don't submit to Alphas' voices, in fact they can even command Alphas if they so wish, Changbin has promised himself he would never do that. 

In the old days when a Pure Omega was born they would always become the pack leader, as it's rare they get angry or annoyed. They can fight better than most, and on instinct they know when issues affect those close to them or in their pack, they can sense when danger is coming before anyone else. But his doctor has always advised him to not expect that result himself, the information isn't proven to be correct due to the lack of Pure omegas in the world.

When he had joined JYP, he had chosen to disclose his status to the managers only, after hours of talks with his family they decided it would be safer for him to remain hidden for now, so the  agreed that he could have an extra clause in his contract about being able to decline any offer to join a pack or any advances from an alpha or anyone else until the time he met his mate, who they would accept as his partner  with no questions, the company had countered his clause with one of their own, which he accepted readily, it was that they would be allowed to publicise his status once he found his fated mate, they knew it would be a bonus for both the company and any group he joined.. He wasn't actually expecting to meet his mate while being an idol so it hadn't bothered him in the slightest. The one thing he and the company agreed on was that his status was to be listed as unpresented on all paperwork for now .

Changbin walks home quickly, knowing his mum would be getting anxious because he was once again late for dinner, she is the kind of omega Changbin wants to be, she was kind, caring and supportive of her sons, he had never seen her lose her temper even when he and his sister had gotten into trouble repeatedly as kids. His older sister, an Alpha, was in university, she had earned a scholarship to a prestigious university in America. He misses her so much but they keep in touch, texting every few days, calling when they both have free time so he copes with the loneliness just fine, a lie he tells himself often, he refuses to admit he doesn't trust anyone else these days and his Omega only relaxes around those who he does. When he has found out he had the chance to join as a trainee, he had told some friends one day at school thinking they would be happy for him but by the end of the day the whole of his class and many others had begun to sneer and laugh at the fact that a freak like him thought he was good enough to become an idol. He had suffered ridicule and abuse, even physically after that until his family had eventually moved away.

His mum’s piercing scream rings out as he pushes the front door open, in a panic, he rushes inside only to find her and his dad watching yet another horror movie. Hand covering his heart as it tries to escape his chest, Changbin drops his bag and stomps into the living room.

“Damn it mum, you scared me half to death again. At least warn me eh? When will you just accept you’ll always be a scaredy cat?” he says with a smile, even as his body flows with adrenaline, you would think he would be used to it by now, but his Omega still hasnt accepted her self-inflicted bi-nightly torture, as Changbin calls it, the Omega in him ready to rip out a throat ot two to protect his parents. Which he finds so weird, he has seen other omegas, his mum is case in point, they never ever react with violence.

“Sorry son, your mother really wanted to watch this one, I told her it was too scary for her but she never listens, you know that. She has a thing for zombies at the moment.” his dad says with a chuckle as he pulls his wife closer. Changbin knows his dad loves to protect his wife, even if its from stupid monsters on the tv, thats why his mum gets away with watching so many movies.

They both know how she scares easily but still watches every horror movie she can find, saying she will eventually be able to watch them without being scared. She never gives up even after still freaking out after 20 yrs of this, something Changbin actually really admires in her, she never gave in to the fear. Which is why he pushed himself to take the trainee position in the end, he didn't want to look back later in life and regret not going for it, he wanted to face his fear, not give in to it.

Changbin laughs as he heads into the kitchen to grab his dinner, it's always waiting for him for which he is grateful. His parents had always taken great care of him and his brother, more so since he presented as an omega. After he washes all the dishes, he has a quick shower and heads to his room, he rearranges his nest a few times before he eventually falls asleep, his Omega whimpering from being alone in his nest as always. 

After he first presented his sister would sit in his nest with him until he fell asleep, some nights she would fall asleep next to him and he always slept well and woke up happy, then his mum had taken over the job when his sister had started dating, the scents she brought home would distress Changbins Omega, leaving him wondering if he would ever have a scent or be able to date or find his Alpha, he knew there was a big chance that he might stay like this, in this frozen state of wanting and waiting for what he can't have, forever alone and it truly scared him. He had eventually made them stop because after many times of waking up in a sweat panicking that he was suddenly alone and feeling vulnerable, he realised he and his wolf had to get used to being alone. 

His days as a trainee all slowly start to bleed into one, the routine Changbin goes through is the same every single day, he attends his lessons, where he practises his singing, dancing and more recently, he is pleased they eventually let him train his skills in rapping, then he spends a few hours practising alone, or he sits and writes lyrics in any quiet spot he can find. He has even managed to have some of his music accepted by the company, though he doesn't know who will use them, he is just happy to be seen as capable especially when the company knows his sub gender and don't hold it against him.

As Changbin walks around the building one day a month after he joined, he is surprised to realise how well he can now detect faint traces of scents, he didn't think he would, he hasn't up until now, seeing as all presented trainees and all staff have to wear scent blockers in the building, there shouldn't really be any scents to be found. He doesn’t use any himself, he has no scent so at least he has that bonus but now he’s noticing a specific scent, a mix of coffee and leather, it's always in an empty room though. When he opens a door he can always find a hint of that one smell that hits him, but unless he wants to admit to being an Omega or called a freak, (wouldn't be the first time, he thinks) he can't ask anyone about it so he chooses to ignore it as much as possible, even if his Omega seems very interested in that one smell.

He doesn't really notice the other trainees these days, until one day, as he sneaks into the studio again, that scent is there again, but this time it's stronger than ever. He stops and breathes it in and feels his Omega stir, he lifts his eyes from the floor and finds there's a new group of boys in the studio he always uses to write in. The room is rarely busy, almost all trainees now avoid being around the ignorant loner trainee. He realises as he looks at them that one boy is Bang Chan, someone who Changbin actually admires. He’s a slightly older trainee, who writes and produces his own music as well as being a talented dancer and singer, he is well known for his happy, caring personality within the company and a lot of trainees have major crushes on him, always commenting on his good looks and physique. Changbin thinks about leaving for a minute but then forces himself forward to his usual seat, determination setting in, he needs to get this done and he suddenly doesn't want to run away from whoever that smell is coming from. He will have to get used to whoever it is who is not wearing a blocker, because he would never get them into trouble for not following the rules.

They’re all stood across the room from him as he does his usual of putting his headphones on and trying to blend into the background. He doesn’t look their way again once he picks up his pencil, instead he starts to write down the lyrics he has had in his head since before his last lesson began. After an hour or so he has it all written down in the book, just how he wants it and he relaxes, a smile slips on his face as the scent invades his senses, he's stretching his arms over his head, his eyes roaming the room as music is still playing and the group with Chan are all dancing to it. He watches their choreography with a little awe, they are all so good, he wishes he was that good, he hopes one day he manages to be half as good. His eyes suddenly connect with one of the group in the mirror, a black haired boy with freckles across his cheeks, he’s surprised when he blushes and he drops his gaze again, the intense stare making  his heart stutter. How are they all that good looking? If they are a formed group for debut they will go far he thinks, as he stuffs his things back in his bag. But as he stands to leave, he is surprised when one of the group quickly walks over to him and introduces themselves.

“Hey, you’re Seo Changbin right? I’m Han Jisung. We’ve been hoping to catch you at some point. But you’re a hard person to find. Chan and I are looking for someone to join us in our work, and we want you to be that person, if you're interested.” as he speaks Bang Chan walks over to join them, leaving the other boys across the room. The boy with freckles is watching them with obvious interest.

“We’re mainly writing and producing some raps and a few songs right now, but if we impress the management we’re hoping we can get a group together to debut. We want to ask you to be with us for that too, we've heard you in lessons and love your voice. And we were given a song to work with last month, after a lot of nagging they let slip that you wrote it, so we wondered if you had anything else, and seeing you write like a mad man for the last couple of hours I'm assuming you do.” Chan says as he steps from one foot to the other nervously waiting for Changbins reply. 

With shock hitting his system, Changbin drops back into the seat, why are they talking to him? But his Omega preens at what they say, he nods eagerly, “Y-yeah I’d like that, but are you sure it's me you really want.” He doesn't believe he’s good enough for them, why would they want someone like him? This thought makes his Omega growl, so he decides if they still want him to join them he will, and hopefully he will make some friends for the first time since he presented. He had lost all his friends when he moved to Seoul when he finished school. He had tried to keep in touch with a couple of friends but they ignored him, not wanting to be friends with someone who had not presented by then.

"Of course we want you to join us, silly. And we will introduce you to the others who will hopefully join us as well but only when you're ready." Jisung said, excitedly as he looked over at his friends across the room. Changbin smiles at him, realising this is what he wants too, he wants to know their friends, especially the one with the freckles. They sit down with him and talk about their music for a while, the rest of the boys in their group seemingly content to carry on dancing without them, everything is going smoothly until Changbin realises the time. "Aah.. I have to go guys, sorry. I can't be late again." He bows as he grabs his things, getting ready to leave.

"Which dorm do you live in? We can walk back with you if you like. Make sure you don’t get into any trouble." Chan says, looking between him and Jisung. Jisung nods eagerly in agreement.

"Oh I-I don't live in the dorms at the moment, I'm still living at home with my parents." Changbin says feeling a little embarrassed. But Chan smiles and says that they will walk him back home instead. They quickly say goodbye to the other boys who were still practising before they walk out with Changbin following them. Changbin catches the gaze of that same boy again, he smiles at him before the boy is jumped on by one of the others and they start to playfight.

On the way back home Jisung makes him laugh more than he's ever laughed before, he watches as Chan tickles Jisung when he jumps on his back, Changbin hopes he can keep these friends when he doesn't present, like the others most likely presume he will.

Changbin can feel his heart flutter when he watches the boys interact as they walk down the road he lives on, he feels he needs to be with them and their group, more like his Omega wants him to stay with them, so when they arrive at his house he invites them inside for dinner. His mum is already in the kitchen cooking and she welcomes the extra guests with a wide smile. They spend the time waiting for dinner in Changbins bedroom, and after they literally beg him, he shows them some of his works, songs he had written lately. He feels proud when they both shower him with praise. His omega purrs, curled up inside him, unused to this kind of treatment from people outside his family. By the end of the night Changbin feels like he has known the two boys a lot longer than just a few hours.

Changbin quickly gets used to spending time every day with Jisung and Chan, who he realises are both Alphas, their scents giving them away eventually. Even though they, like all trainees and idols usually cover their scent, he can now smell them faintly. Though you wouldn't really have known their subgender by just watching them, they were very much like his sister, gentle and caring towards everyone no matter their subgender, they were always laughing and goofing around, only serious when the situation demanded it, like when it came to work. It doesn't take long for Changbin to start opening up and before he realises it, he is showing the side of himself that has been hidden; he's even telling them off when they go too far with their teasing. His playful side starts to show more and his omega relaxes around them too, he soon becomes the loud, excitable and cute person he has kept hidden outside of the family home.

When the three start to release music on SoundCloud they become well known in the company, trainees are always stopping them to talk to them and invite them out for dinner or things like that, though it's always mainly aimed at the two Alphas, Changbin doesn't mind because he knows it's the wolf in them wanting a good Alpha and knowing Chan and Jisung as he does, he can't blame the Omegas and Betas, if he had been a normal Omega his wolf would have been interested in them too, no doubt, but he has never felt any interest in anyone before.

Changbin even forgets that they have a whole group of friends, people he has not yet met, who they have the hope of debuting with and therefore is surprised and a bit worried when after months of it being just them three working together, they announce they want him to meet the others. For some reason his Omega is eager to meet them, he has never known his Omega make its wants known so much before. He has seen the group around, of course, because Jisung and Chan are with them when not hanging with Changbin. He has heard them talking about the others and though he has heard names he still doesn't know who is who, and he finds himself curious about the dark haired boy with the freckles.

When Changbin eventually feels ready to meet the whole group, he’s nervous but Jisung is beside him as he enters the room, there are five other boys in the room with Chan. They all look at him as he enters, he feels himself blush and his hand twitches as though he wants to reach out to someone, his Omega suddenly alert as he looks at them all. When his eyes land on the boy with freckles, who has a big smile on his face as he eyes Changbin from across the room, he realises they are the group from that first day, he suddenly feels a bit intimidated, they are all so talented and beautiful, more so now they have grown up somewhat. Chan introduces them as he finds a space to sit in the group, they are Minho, Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin and Jeongin. Jisung tells him that out of the group, the last three have yet to present, and that he and Chan are Alphas, he bits his tongue to stop a  giggle, he already knew that from hanging out with them outside the company, their blockers had faded and he could clearly smell their Alphas, Minho is an Omega and Hyunjin is a Beta. When he realises that the boy with freckles is called Felix, Changbin feels a smile creep onto his face, and when he dares to look over at him, he realises that Felix is still watching him shyly across the circle they had formed.

Changbin tries to change the subject from subgenders as quickly as he can, not wanting to start his new friendships off with a lie when they ask about his subgender. "So will we all be moving into a dorm together do you think? I've never lived in a dorm before, what's it like?" And that’s all he needs to say to get the rest talking excitedly about the thought of them all living together, and the ups and downs of living in a dorm with other teenage boys.

As he watches them all talking and laughing, he suddenly feels content, something he hasn't felt before outside of his family since he presented. He smiles when anyone looks his way, and when one of them moves closer to him, Changbin is eager to talk and get to know him.

The Beta, Hyunjin, hands him a drink and sits a little closer than Changbin is used to but he doesn't move away, he even ends up leaning into the boy when an arm is thrown over his shoulder as Hyunjin says "I'm so glad we got to meet you at last, Chan and Jisung never stop talking about how amazing you are, but they didn't say you were so much more handsome up close. Will you join the pack with us? Will we form a pack, do you think? I really hope we do. What do you think you will present as? Probably an Alpha, you have the build and aura, but I kinda hope you're a beta like me, you would be amazing as a beta." 

"Jinnie, sweetie, sshh, you have to breathe, and don’t overwhelm Binnie, you'll scare him away before he even joins us." Minho says, as he sits down at the other side of Changbin, a hand wrapping unconsciously around Changbins arm. Minho not realising he is drawn to the Omega in Changbin, his Omega wanting the comfort. Omegas will often nest together outside of heats, only letting other subgenders into their nest during ruts and heats, even though they usually have a pack nest where the pack sleeps together, an Omegas nest is very personal and never to be violated. Minho's wolf obviously recognizes Changbins even though Minho himself doesn't realise what he is doing. After Hyunjins comment,  Changbin is happy to have another Omega right there to settle his own wolf. He knows Hyunjin means no harm, even being sweeter than anyone Changbin has encountered, he has heard many nasty comments thrown his way that were meant to hurt him on purpose, but he can feel that his wolf is still a little sad now. Even after all these years, to not be allowed to be recognised as the Omega he is, hurts. Even though he knows how irrational that is, he can't help it. He wants to feel the love and affection an Omega gets from everyday interactions with friends.

Whilst the Alphas notice Minhos behaviour and they are surprised, as he’s usually against skinship, he was attached to Changbin, a relative stranger, from the get go, yet no one says anything, assuming Minho just wants to make Changbin feel comfortable and welcome around everyone. It's not long before Hyunjin crawls across the floor and curls up next to the two youngest boys, his arms wrapped around jeongins waist and then Changbins can suddenly smell that scent again, it gets stronger and he jumps a little when he realises Felix has sat down next to him. He stares in awe when he hears how deep the younger boys voice is, and they fall into an easy banter, Felix effortlessly making him laugh as much as the alphas do.

Changbin is surprised to find that he feels comfortable around the whole group of boys, they all enjoy being together, which means that Changbin is usually cuddled up to someone or someone is wrapped around him, it becomes clear to him that they all love being close and his omega feels content outside his family at last. When they finish training early one evening and decide to stay in the studio for a while Changbin finds himself slipping across the floor to be closer to Felix, until they are sat next to each other. The younger boy is so bright and always smiling, Changbin feels like he is recharging just sitting near him, and when they all decide to watch a movie, crowded on the floor he ends up with Felix laying across his back. He doesn't notice it then but later that night at home when he pulls his top off, the scent he has been catching around the building is definitely Felix. He holds the top to his nose and inhales deeply, the smell is amazing, it has no single distinctive scent to it, more a mix of a few but he could still pick it out on a single item in a room full of dirty laundry. 

His sister rings him later that same night and he is still holding tightly to that top near his nose when he clicks the accept button for the facetime call. “What the hell are you doing, Binnie? Isn't that your top? Why are you sniffing yourself?” his sister says straight away.

“Erm.. I don’t know, sis. It smells really nice, it has someone else's scent on it, not my own before you start. Felix, one of the guys in the group was close and his smell caught on it. But the thing is, sis, we were in the studio, so he has to have blockers on, they all do but I’ve been catching his scent for weeks, I just didn’t realise it was him, but I checked and he has his patch on every day yet I can smell him.” Changbin chews his nails as he watches her, he then realises she's writing something down. “Are you taking notes? What kind of weirdo are you?”

“Yes I am, you’re meeting people now, Bin. That means you have the chance to find your Alpha. This could be important, I have to check any information out, what if you’ve found them already, it could be anyone. Have any girls chased you lately.” his sister teases.

“Stop it. You know I'm not interested in girls… oh god what if my alpha is a girl, what do I do then? I could never mate with a girl. Thanks, now I have something else to worry about.” Changbin whines, as his Omega starts to chuff at him in laughter as if he knows something Changbin doesn't..

“Stop being stupid, do you really think fate would tie you to someone who wouldnt make you happy? Its already fucked you over once, it wont do it again, there's a reason you are a Pure, baby brother.” Changbin stays silent though, is his sister right? He hopes so, because having a female alpha would be hell for him. It would be just his luck after all. After the call ends he lays there on his bed, cuddling the top he still has a death grip on, his mind wandering to Felix and how his smell is so beautiful. His mind runs through the images he has of the younger boy dancing earlier that day, Changbin is shocked to find his body reacting, he has never had that with someone he knows. Sure he has a small list of actors and male idols he finds attractive, who star in his scenarios when he feels the need to release some tension but he's never become hard for someone he is close to. He tries to ignore it and curls up to sleep, not wanting to have the guilt inside him from jacking off to images of an unpresented boy, no matter how damn gorgeous he is, he still has to face him tomorrow.

Changbin is feeling both excited and worried when Chan announces that they will have a meeting in the next few weeks with the higher ups in the company, to see if they can become an official group together, meaning they would move in together, constantly be together. And that actually scares Changbin a lot, he has never lived away from his parents, he hasn't even slept away from home and definitely never shared a home with anyone other than family. He doesn't know if he can do it without the others finding out about his subgender, but he wants to be an idol with these boys so he is willing to risk it. He's sure he will be safe with them, maybe even let them know if everything works out well. 

And while his parents have long accepted he is a Pure Omega, his dad still gets overprotective of him, which is why Changbin is now faced with introducing all of the group to his parents so they will hopefully stop the constant texts and calls for information that have started to increase now he is closer to being in a permanent group, meaning he is spending even more time away from home.

He doesn't blame his parents at all, if anything he loves them all the more for it, he knows they are bound to be worried, he had a lot of hassle when he actually presented, because he was scentless he was bullied and even beaten up a few times by people in their old neighbourhood. He and his mum had struggled so many times to stop his father from going out after the people who had attacked him and left him broken and bruised in the street, just because he was different. They had eventually moved to Seoul, because the only doctor who they trusted to treat Changbin without publicising it was based inSeoul and then Changbin had managed to become a trainee. So yes he understood it well, it doesn't bother him anymore, in fact it calms his Omega, knowing he has the support and love of his parents. 

The group was just finishing yet another run through of the choreography to a song they hoped they could use to impress management and were also hoping to use after debut, when Changbins phone rings, he answers it straight away without checking the id, it's not like many people have his number, and most were in the room with him now. Not even surprised to find it was his mum's voice greeting him, telling him his dad had booked a private room at a restaurant not far from their company building for the day after, so they could meet the group. He sighs loudly, he had been trying to put this off "you could have just met us at home, mum. Or I don't know, the local cafe or something smaller and less expensive, But it’s ok, I'm sure they will enjoy a nice dinner. Yeah sure, I'll tell them, love you mum." He puts the phone away and looks up to find the others watching him, he blushes, dropping his eyes to the floor before he takes a deep breath. It’s weird how he can be himself with everyone but then his omega suddenly makes him feel super shy when the group looks at him like they are right now.

"I hope it's ok with you all, my parents want to meet you all, they, umm, they're a bit protective of me at times, no that's a lie, all the time. They booked us a room at a local restaurant tomorrow night but if you can't make it that's fine, they just don't like the idea of me living with people they don't know." He says as he picks at his joggers, nervously waiting for their replies, hoping they agree.

"Ooh do we have to dress up? I don't own anything besides jeans and joggers. I can't wait to have a meal that isn't instant noodles. Count me in for sure." Jeongin says as he bounces across the room towards Changbin, he grabs Changbins hand as he asks. "Are your parents scary like mine? My dad terrifies me sometimes, he's an alpha and my mum never really listens to me." 

Changbin instinctively wraps an arm around the maknae, "No, my parents are amazing, they are both caring and kind, they just worry too much at times. My mum loves to cook and I'm sure when we move, she will make sure we all eat well." This is met with cheers from most of the boys making Changbin giggle.

 He feels arms wrap around his waist from behind, and a chin resting on his shoulder, before Felix whispers in his ear, “I can’t wait to meet your parents, Binnie. Are they as sweet as you? It will be nice to meet them, I'm sure we will have a good night.” Changbins shivers, he will never admit it but something about Felix's deep ass voice when he whispers makes him and his Omega want to curl up and purr. He has found himself spending his lunch breaks with the younger boy, both enjoying each other's company, Felix makes him smile without having to try. Changbin feels relaxed in Felix's company, enough that he regularly falls asleep next to/on him when they crowd together after practice, making him and his Omega comfortable and happy.

He and his parents have arrived at the restaurant early and Changbin is feeling unusually nervous, his parents are meeting his friends at last, even though they already know Chan and Jisung well, because they have spent many nights camped out on his bedroom floor, it's got his Omega really worked up. He has chosen to go from home with his parents and is waiting for them to arrive. He is pulling at his top again when his mum places a hand on top of his, "Sweetie? Why are you so nervous? You were ok when we met theChan and Jisung, is there someone you're worried about us meeting?" 

"No, no, of course not, mum. I don't know why I'm so nervous, maybe it's because if you approve of them, I'll be moving out and away from you both." He says, though he has noticed he does feel a lot more on edge lately than he's used to, he sure it's just because of all the changes about to happen in his life. He doesn't react to his Omega huffing at him, he's been doing it a lot lately and he really doesn't know why.

The door to the private room they are sitting in slides open, Chan steps in first, bowing and greeting Changbins parents, the rest follow suit and before he knows it, the room is loud and full of laughter. They all sit down, Felix dropping into the spot next to Changbin after he pushes Minho out of the way, he always seems to want to be with Changbin these days and he isn't going to complain. Everyone is busy talking, they don't notice how Changbin moves a little closer to Felix, well no one except his mum, who watches them both silently, her hand grabbing her husbands, who also turns to watch when Felix pours another drink out for Changbin, their arms brushing and Changbin can't stop himself from leaning closer when Felix settles back in his seat.

When the food is brought in, Changbin realises his dad has ordered nearly everything on the menu and he laughs at the sight. The other boys fall quiet as they watch it all being placed across the table, Changbin smiles as he watches their eyes bug out, the food covers the entire large table. Even though he can't be in a pack with them, he feels happy that his family has provided them a good meal, his omega wants to baby all of them, even the alphas. Silence falls as they all eat and eat, and Changbin is sure the younger boys are about to burst at the seams if they keep putting away food like that. 

Once they have finished and the table is cleared, his dad suddenly clears his throat and Changbin suddenly wants to crawl under the table, he knows what this means, his mum grabs his hand under the table with a smile. “Let him have his moment, sweetie. He’s been waiting for this day since you joined the company.” Changbin tries to hide his face in embarrassment. 

"So it is nice to eventually meet you all,  we have met Chan and Jisung many, many times already, and we trust them around our Binnie. The rest of you seem to be pretty nice boys too and if Chan and Jisung trust you then so do we. With that said, we are very protective of our youngest child, as I'm sure he’s moaned about many times before. We would be grateful if you would look after our son while he is with you. I know it may seem weird to you all but we have our reasons, we hope one day in the future you will understand." 

Changbin watches as confusion crosses the faces of the other boys and he wants to stamp his foot, but settles for glaring quickly at his dad for making things weird. But then, to his surprise, Felix says in a very serious voice, "Sir, I promise that I will always look out and care for Binnie, and I'm sure that everyone here will too. You can rely on us, I promise to do everything I can to keep him happy and safe." Felix blushes and suddenly hides his face in Changbins shoulder like he only just realised what he’s said. Changbin and Minho both giggle at him, and then the doors open once more and dessert is brought to the table making everyone including Changbins mum squeal in delight. 

When everyone is stuffed and groaning at the amount of food they had eaten, Changbins parents stand to leave, "thank you all for coming to meet us, but we have a movie calling our names so we're gonna leave you all here, the bill’s taken care of, so if you want to order more it's covered." Changbins dad says before they leave, Changbin calling out "No horror movies tonight mum, they're not good for you or me." Making everyone turn to look at him as the door closes.

"Seriously guys, she's got a thing for horror movies but she gets scared way too easily. It drives me insane, everytime I go home when they have one playing she screams the house down, the neighbours used to come running all the time but they got used to it." Changbin moans at the others, knowing she will be doing it all again later tonight.

It's the day Changbin and the others will move into the new dorms together. Changbin is beyond nervous, as it’s his first night away from his parents. His mum drives him to the address given to them, the car is packed with his belongings, he’s even packed a couple of his favourite plushies. He is bouncing with nerves in the seat next to his mum, she places a hand on his, "everything will be fine, baby, I'm sure it will work out well and you know we aren't that far away really, you can come back home whenever you need to, ok?" 

As an Omega, even though he seems unpresented to others, Changbin still needs to cuddle before he can sleep,his omega wants the company of others when it sleeps, it's a comfort thing  but because of his situation he has his plushies to hug, his family always scents them for him, it doesn't settle his wolf but its all he’s ever had. The biggest worry he has is that at home, he could spend a lot of time getting hugs and cuddles from his parents to calm his omega, if needed, before he went to bed but now he isn't sure how it’s going to work, what if he can't keep the omega that's inside him happy while he lives in the dorms? He shares his concern with his mum, he can't help but worry.

Even before he opens the door to the dorm, he realises it's probably not going to be a problem, he can hear the other boys insidep, its loud and lively but when they step into the hall beyond the door and they see the pile of limbs and bodies piled on the sofa in the living room, his mum nudges him, “see you will be ok, they look very open to cuddles and I'm sure you will be part of those as well, baby.” she says with a smile. Changbin admits to himself, as his omega watches the others, that he might get through this with little to no problems.

Seungmin and Minho walk out of the kitchen area before they notice the Omega and his mum in the hallway, “Binnie, you're here at last. I’m so happy, what took so long? Which bedroom do you want to sleep in? Can I share with you?” Minho asks him, while his mum gives him a knowing look.

“Don't we get told where we sleep?” Changbin asks as Seungmin grabs his hand and pulls him into the living room. The bodies on the sofa quickly separate as they enter and he sees Hyunjin, Felix, Jisung and Jeongin turn to them excitedly.

“CHAN HYUNG……WE CAN PICK NOW, CHANGBIN HYUNG IS HERE. Hey Binnie, Mrs Seo, was the traffic ok?” Hyunjin asks, but before either can answer, Changbin is engulfed in a hug and pulled down onto the sofa.

Feeling a little (very) flustered, it takes Changbin a second to realise that Felix has his arms wrapped around him. His body melts into the warmth but then Chan enters and Felix quickly lets him go. He quickly stands up again, finding his hand taken by the younger boy, he blushes as he sees his mum hide a smile. But when he feels Felix entwine their fingers and give a quick squeeze he can't hide the smile that brightens his face.

“Hey, Chan, boys, I'm not staying but can you guys help bring Bins things up and then I can get back home. I packed dinner up for you all as well.”  his mum says and then Felix is gone, carrying most of Changbins bags himself.

Later that same night and Changbin is restless, he’s on a brand new scentless bed, and his omega isn't happy with that. He knows he has blankets packed that were in his nest but he can't openly use them, not without the others asking questions, so he settles for cuddling one of his plushies, it smells of home and his family. But he just cannot get settled, his Omega wants to nest, to claim his space in the new home but he can't do that, so he decides to get up and have some hot chocolate hoping it will help him sleep. 

He quietly slips out of the bedroom not wanting to disturb his roommates Felix and Jisung, both fast asleep. He is putting the mugful of milk in the microwave when he hears feet in the hallway, he turns to the door as Minho steps into the kitchen. “You ok? You should be sleeping, Binnie.”

“So should you, hyung. I just can’t seem to sleep, probably because it’s my first night, so hot chocolate.” he says pointing to the mug in the microwave. Minho smiles, as he grabs a glass of water. “I’m restless too, my omega wants to cuddle but well, I have no other omegas to nest with yet but I'm sure I’ll sleep eventually.” he sighs before he says goodnight and disappears back to his room. 

Changbin slumps against the counter, a strong feeling of guilt surges through him, and he heads back to bed, forgetting about his drink. He pauses outside Minhos room, wanting to go comfort the older omega, but instead pushes himself to enter his own room, knowing he can't give away his secret yet.

With a sigh he climbs into his empty, cold bed and tries to sleep. But now his Omega knows there's another Omega willing to cuddle and he's feeling lonely wanting to cuddle someone. When he’s about to give up trying to sleep altogether, he feels a body slip under the covers with him, an arm wraps around his waist pulling him closer to them, legs tangling up with his own, “Sorry if I woke you, hyung, but I couldn't get back to sleep. You don't mind me cuddling with you, do you?” Hearing sleepy Felixs, even deeper than usual, voice so close relaxes Changbin and his wolf in record time, he’s asleep before he can even answer. 

When Changbin wakes up the next morning, he finds himself on his back with Felix half covering his body with his own, one hand has buried itself in Felixs hair at some point, while his other hand is tightly holding a handful of the younger boys top. As he is processing how that happened, Felix wakes up lifting his head off of changbins chest, a drool patch left behind. 

“Morning, Hyung, I have never slept that well, ever, honestly, it feels like I had a full body massage while I slept.” Changbin has to force his hand to relax and let go of the material he has crushed even more, then watches as Felix jumps out of the bed and drops onto a sleeping Jisung in his lower bunk bed at the other side of the room. He really does enjoy being around Felix, he thinks, just before Felix screams and runs from the room, followed by a very grumpy Jisung, who is threatening to skin him alive for waking him up so early.

As they all keep working hard towards their debut, Changbin is now used to the closeness within the group of boys, he is getting used to living with the others, realising they all enjoy being close and share a lot of skinship. And even though he finds he is mostly with Chan and Jisung in the studio working long hours, he still finds himself having enough cuddles to keep his omega happy. The three of them usually end up wrapped together as they tweak the latest track they have been working on. When they practise choreography and when they have time off, Changbin has Minho and Felix wrapped around him at some point most days, and even Seungmin and Jeongin make sure to find him for cuddles. And although he enjoys it and does love being close with everyone, he seems to always find ways to get close to Felix, that is when his omega seems to be most relaxed. They always sit together in the van wherever they go, Felix finding reasons to wrap an arm around him when he can and most nights find them sleeping in the same bed, wrapped around each other. 

The group are eventually given the date they will debut, which sends them all into a frenzy, everyone working too many hours practising, they stay behind even after the company building has emptied of all staff. It's on one of those nights when they are the last people to leave the studio again that they all fall through the door into their dorm late at night. Chan holding two large bags of hot food in his hands, he drags Minho into the Kitchen to help plate the food up before they return to the living room where the rest are waiting, Jisung and Jeongin are moaning about how they are going to die from hunger if they don't hurry up.

Changbin had fallen onto the sofa as soon as he entered the dorm and was now resting with his head on a soft cushion, his mind fuzzy with the need to sleep, his feet hanging over the arm of the sofa, uncomfortable but he really can't move a single muscle, he has tried but no success. He has his eyes closed against the light above him when he feels someone drop onto the sofa close to his head and tap his shoulder, “come here, Binnie, you can rest your head on my lap if you want.” 

The deep voice tells him it's Felix and even though he's feeling so tired, he finds his body moving without a thought, his omega getting as close to the younger boy as he can, he always gets clingy when he's this tired is his excuse to himself. Felixs hand slides up over his arm before it starts to run through his hair, making him shiver, he soon starts to doze off at the feeling.

Then he hears Chan talking as the food is handed out, “Binnie, food, you need to sit up.” the leader says gently. So he drags himself upright with a groan and starts to eat, Felix stays close to him. Minho sits down next to Changbin in the space his legs were before, he’s curling close to Changbin as he usually does, when a growl is heard in the silence of everyone eating. All heads turn to the person who made the noise, a slightly shocked Jisung. Chan tilts his head in question, an eyebrow raises as Jisung blushes but meets everyones gaze with a wide grin. “What? I can growl if I want to.”

Changbin can't help but grin as well, it's been obvious to him for weeks now that Jisung has a major crush on their only known Omega, he is surprised no one else has noticed yet.

Changbin tries to hold his laugh but finds he can't, blaming the tiredness so when another quieter growl, much more whiney this time, is heard, Changbin nudges Minho and rolls his eyes as he gently pushes him towards Jisung, Minho groans before he quickly rushes to join the Alpha on the floor, Jisung smiles widely and starts to eat his food, feeding a very red faced Minho bites of food from his bowl. Changbin watches them with a soft smile, they look good together he realises, his omega agrees.

When Changbin and Jisung are asked to grab some shopping on the way home from the studio a couple of days later, Jisung tells him that he is waiting for the group to officially form a pack so he can ask Minho out, with the hope he will want to be his mate. He knows Jisung is trying to nicely warn him to back off from the omega. “ Why wait? You like each other, Sungie. Ask him out, enjoy being together. Being in a pack isn't going to make it any different you know? Minho seems to want to be with you but his omega wants to be chased a little, praise him and take him out, you both deserve it.” 

 When Jisung sputters and then snaps at him, “but he spends so much time with you, hyung. I don't know what it means. He seems to gravitate towards you, without even knowing.”

Changbin isn't surprised by the outburst, they have never really hidden their attraction for each other after all, so it must confuse the alpha when Minho is always so cuddly with Changbin and as the conversation moves on to the others in the group he knows what's coming. 

They have both grabbed a drink along with the shopping and are sitting at a table outside the store when the questions neither can answer are asked. Jisung is having fun trying to guess what the three youngest members will be. “What do you think Felix will be? I think he's gonna be an omega, he's too sensitive for any other gender, his nose seems to pick up smells no one else can. Has he told you about it at all? It's really odd.” That makes Changbin worry, maybe he should talk to the younger boy when he gets a chance, he thinks. To him, Felix will be an Alpha, for sure, his wolf just knows, but he can't say anything, it wouldn't be right and he can't explain how he knows for sure, not when he doesn't even understand it.

“Binnie, what do you think you will be? Will you join the pack before you present, cause you know, you're a late one. I think you're gonna be an alpha.” Jisung says as he sips his drink. It makes Changbins omega snap and snarl at the insult, and he realises he really does see him as a kind of threat with regards to Minho.

Changbin plays with his bottle, he sighs, should he tell Jisung the truth? Lie? 

He takes a deep breath, “Ji? If I tell you something, can you promise not to tell anyone else? Not even Minho? I will tell everyone one day just not yet.”

Jisung nods eagerly, “I promise. My lips are sealed. So what is it? Do you have a crush? Is a pack interested in you? Come on spill” he blurts out, causing Changbin to laugh sourly, as if that would ever happen. Even though they haven't officially formed a pack he knows the others have all stated they want to be one together. He wants to be with them all, the only pack he wants to join, but he still has the whole Pure omega problem which will prevent him from joining if they do form a pack.

“No, it's nothing like that, you idiot. it's something else entirely, something that only my parents, my doctor and the managers know about, I want you and Chan to know though, and well everyone in the group to know hopefully. But I think you deserve to know now because of Minho.”

He notices how Jisung stills when he mentions Minhos name so he takes another breath before he speaks.

“Jisungie, breath…… I'm an Omega. I presented on my 16th birthday. But I’m a Pure Omega. It has to be kept a secret until I meet my Alpha. But that's why Minho cuddles me so often, you see, his wolf recognises mine but after you growled the other night I wanted to tell you so there are no issues between any of us." 

Jisung stares at him in shock, "so you already presented? Why didn't you tell us?.....what's a Pure omega?"

"The biggest difference between a normal omega and me is that I don't have heats, I had my first one but I won't have anymore, not until I meet my fated mate. That's why I don't have a scent either. Only they will be able to smell me until my omega recognises them, I will seem unpresented until I find them." He looks at Jisung as he takes in the information, his eyes wide, and expects him to be weirded out at the very least but Jisung eventually just calmly nods and smiles.

 "Ok, not what I expected at all, but I’m proud you trust me enough to tell me and at least you have someone you can come and talk to about it all now, Binnie hyung. I don't know much about it all yet but I will learn all I can. It must be so hard to see everyone else talking about their subgender when you have had to stay silent. My poor little baby." Jisung laughs as he says the last, missing the way it affects Changbin, who blushes as he bites his lip to stop a small whimper escape, he's never had an Alpha, outside the family, ever call him baby before and his omega really really likes it.

Jisung keeps talking as they walk back home, he doesn't let Changbin carry any of the shopping though which makes Changbin roll his eyes. "Jisung, one of the bonuses of being Pure, is that even as an omega I can carry heavy things, hell I can even do a full workout at the gym with hardly breaking a sweat, and build up muscle like an alpha. A bag of cup noodles isn't going to kill me, you know." He whines as he walks next to the other boy, who just quips "cool, we can be gym buddies now then, Chan always lets me down. You know how he is once he'ss in the gym and you know how much I hate going alone." 

That's how Changbin finds himself slowly becoming addicted to going to the gym, he goes everyday and works out with the Alpha, sometimes Chan joins them as well. And when he starts to bulk up, he notices that he starts to get attention from those same betas and Omegas that used to ignore him when they stopped Chan and Jisung before, and like them, he politely turns down all the interest and offers given.

He is eventually pulled in for a meeting with the managers, they say they are just checking if he is fitting in well, he knows he shouldn't be gaining the muscular physique he has, not until he finds his mate but they seem to be satisfied with the knowledge that nothing has changed beside him going to the gym, and after he promises to check in with his doctor when they have the free time the managers seem to resign themselves to the fact that they have to wait longer to boast to the world they have a Pure omega in their company. 

Before he realises it, Stray kids have debuted and he still hasn't told Chan his secret, nor has he made it to the doctors. But they are very busy and spending time just the two of them together, even in the studio, is a rarity. Changbin promises to tell him after the promotions are over. 

After their last scheduled performance, they head back to the dorm, Chan tells them they have a week off to rest, earning cheers from everyone. Changbin is feeling drained, everyone is so tired that they spend that night laid on the nest bed, even though they aren't a pack yet they occasionally sleep in the nest just for comfort. Chan has turned on a camera so they can interact with fans, Changbin has been in the shower and didn't hear they were going live so when he comes into the room, he drops face first onto the mattress, groaning at the ache in his muscles. His eyes start to droop, he whimpers as he moves closer to the others, and before he realises, someone’s climbing on his back and starts to massage his shoulders and back.

A loud moan escapes him as the finger digs in and loosen his muscles, he's too tired to actually talk so he closes his eyes and listens to the others. His body jolts when he finally hears Felix speaking to Chan from just behind his ear, oh that's who’s sat on me. He thinks as he relaxes again, until Hyunjin pushes Felix off of his back for some reason, laughing as he falls off the bed, but Felix grabs hold of Changbin and drags him close when he climbs back across the bed, wrapping his limbs around the older boy. Changbin can feel his cheeks redden but doesn't even move to hide his face. 

He sees Jisung laughing across the large bed, and he resigns himself to being stuck there, deciding it's not that bad. Then Felix drops his chin onto Changbins shoulder, causing Changbin to freeze as he feels his breath tickle across his neck, goosebumps break out over his body, and his omega starts to get restless. No matter what he tries to distract the inner wolf after that it doesn't settle down.

And he doesn't understand why, he has been this close to every member before and his wolf has never been this restless before, he puts it down to the tiredness. He unconsciously relaxes into Felix's hold, he moves so he is facing the other, wrapping his arms around him and resting his face against his chest and eventually even his wolf falls asleep, long before the live is finished. 

The next day while everyone else sleeps in late, Changbin crawls off the bed to go for his daily workout. It takes a while to extricate himself from the clutches of both Felix and Minho, who had joined them in the night, even with Jisung wrapped around him, Minho had moved across the expanse of the bed, his omega needing the closeness of another omega.

Once he gets to the gym in the basement of the building Changbin puts some music on the stereo in the corner of the room and, leaving his bag and belongings in a locker, he starts his routine. He's been there for an hour maybe, when the door is thrown open with a bang and Jeongin rushes in. 

"Binnie, you didn't answer your phone. We have another Alpha… Felix is presenting. He's not happy though, he's locked himself in one of the bedrooms and won't come out. Chan's going insane, he doesn't know what's wrong or how to help him.l"

Changbin quickly grabs his bag and they rush back to the dorm. He can hear the others, before they even get close to the door. He is greeted with a lot of tears, a pacing, stressed Chan and loud voices. Hyunjin and Seungmin are trying to get Felix to open the door but he isn't answering them and they are upset, knocking on the door.

Changbin drops his bag, before he walks over and puts a hand on Hyunjin and Seungmins shoulders, moving them away from the locked door, "Stop, please, guys. Lets just leave Felix alone, give him some space, he obviously needs time to process. Go to the kitchen and prepare him a tray of food and drinks, he's going to need them. Channie hyung, calm down please, it's not gonna kill him. Let him come to terms with it for now, everyone else getting upset and stressed isn't helping him. Maybe go have a shower and calm down, yeah?" He sees Jeongin is curled up with Minho and Jisung on the sofa so he knocks on Felix's door.

"Felix, honey, we're gonna leave you some food and drink out here by the door, if you don't want anyone to come inside, that's fine, please just take it when you can ok? I don't know what's wrong but please if you want to talk then send me a text and I will call you or I can come in to you ok? It's your choice ok? But please, you will be an amazing Alpha, I don't know what's got you so upset but we can figure it out all together, ok?" He watches as the tray of food is left on the floor and they all gather in the living room.

"Woah, Binnie, you took complete charge there, even Channie hyung listened to you." Jeongin says with a big smile on his face. That causes Changbin to pause for a minute because the way Jeongin said it made it sound weird. But he pushes it to the back of his mind as Chan joins them, he drops on the sofa and cuddles up to the younger boys, he seems more relaxed now which is good to see. Changbin orders food for everyone as the others quietly talk between themselves. Heads turn to the hallway as they hear the door open and close, but no footsteps are heard, so they assume Felix has taken the food they left.

"How did you stay so calm, Bin?" Chan asked him out of nowhere.

"Oh.. It was like when my sister presented, she really, really wanted to be a beta. When she presented as an alpha, she hid away from the world for days, my mum was distraught and my dad didn't have a clue how to deal with her, I was the only one she had told that she wanted to be a beta you see, so I took care of her, I changed the bedding when she needed it, made sure she ate, aired the room when she showered, that kind of thing, a new alpha is full of conflicting emotions that they don't know how to deal with, you know that from lessons, guys. But it makes it harder for them if they can smell another alpha, omegas can cause their rut to be more painful unless they are willing to help physically, so they have to stay away so in my house it was down to me anyway, there was no boyfriend or girlfriend to help her either." Changbin explains, he sees Jisung brows lift and before he can stop him, Jisung blurts out, "but didn't it affect you too, hyung? How does it work for you?" 

Jisung realises what he’s said and slaps a hand over his own mouth with a gasp, making it even worse. “For fucks sake Jisungie, think before you speak eh?” Changbin snaps feeling suddenly frustrated as everyone looks between him and Jisung, trying to understand what they mean. He forces himself to calm down, taking a deep breath….

“Chan hyung, can we speak in private please?” Changbin asks his leader with a heavy sigh, walking away assuming Chan will follow. “You, move your arse as well, Jisung, you're coming too.” The three boys head to the small studio at the end of the hall, they don't usually use the room. It's more a storage room but it is partially soundproofed so Changbin knows the others won't be able to listen to the talk he needs to have with Chan.

Changbin closes the door behind them and waits for the other two to sit down. He paces across the room, not saying a word until Jisung coughs, “Bin, you want to start or should I? It's my fault after all, I’m so sorry, Hyung.” 

Changbin sits down next to the oldest boy, their leader, with his hands clenched into fists, his omega wants to run while he really wants to choke Jisung right now, but also thank him, he knew this was something he had to tell his leader, one of his best friend's.

“Channie hyung, firstly I need to say sorry, I wanted to tell you just after I told Sungie but everything became so hectic I couldn’t find the time, so I apologise, there is a reason I told him first as well.. And Jisung, it's not your fault, don't apologise ok? But also, She presented before I was of age, stupid…… The thing is, Chan, I’m an Omega.” 

Chan's jaw drops open at that but before he can speak, Changbin continues. “I don't have heats or a scent, not yet and maybe never, it will only happen if I meet my Alpha.”

“He's a Pure Omega, Channie, we have a super special Omega in our group, isn't it amazing?” Jisung squeals, unable to hold his tongue now that someone else knows.

“A What?..... Are you sure?.... I mean, fuck, I’ve read about Pure Omegas, they are unique and rare as hell….is that how you got me to calm down earlier?” Chan asks.

“I don't think so, Channie. I've never ordered anyone, ever. I don't think I can do that yet. I suggested that you go shower? I didn't order you, did I? Oh god, I'm sorry hyung, I would never...” Changbin feels mortified at the idea, he would hate if an alpha ever tried to command him and he would never forgive himself if he ever did that to anyone else.

“I didn't feel as if I was being forced, Bin, calm down ok?” Chan wraps his arms around the omega and they cuddle for a while, the omega inside Changbin feeling happy again, before Chan asks more questions.

“Why do you keep it a secret though? How will you know if you meet your alpha? Just so we can keep an eye on you in case you don't realise it.” Jisung giggles along with Changbin, they know Chan always worries about these kinds of things. Changbin is pleased that Chan doesn't hold it against him.

So they stay in the room for another half hour as Changbin explains what he knows, which isn't really a lot, just the basics. All he really knows is his omega will start to reassert itself, his heats will eventually return, but that could take months. He doesn't even know if he will recognise the alpha or if it will just be the wolf that does. No one knows, there is no information on it. When he explains there is a chance he may never have another heat because there is no guarantee his alpha is even in korea, he sees tears in both rappers eyes as they listen. All Changbin asks is that Chan also keeps this info to himself for now like Jisung did. When Chan readily agrees, as they knew he would, they head back to the others, stopping outside Felix's room along the way, taking a minute to make sure Felix is ok in there alone, then they join the others to watch the remains of the movie playing on the screen.

He smiles when he gets a text from Felix later that night thanking him for being so kind and thoughtful, for not barging in on him earlier. He sends a smile and heart emoji back.

It’s two days before Felix's rut ends, the group is lucky to have the time off because no sooner does Felix's rut finish, then Seungmin starts to present as well but as an Omega. So it works that yet another member is told about Changbins secret because when they realise Seungmin is presenting, Minho goes into a complete meltdown at the thought of having to support the younger boy through his heat all by himself, as Alphas and Betas can't help with newly presented Omegas because of the risk of unwanted pregnancies as omegas can't start contraception tablets until after the first heat ends, so an Omega will have to go through it alone, but the first one is usually the Omega sleeping as their body adjusts. 

So Changbin and Chan arrange for Chan and Jisung to usher the rest of the group away for the day, they take them to an amusement park to help tire them all out. Changbin stays back with Minho and after sitting him down and telling him all about his hidden status, they set about caring for the newest, younger omega together, carrying him to the bathroom to immerse him in cold water to keep his temperature down, making sure he is fed and has water everytime a heat wave passes. Luckily Seungmin has an easy first heat, most first heats are pretty easy. They start to become more intense the older an Omega gets, their bodies wanting to have pups, and if they don't have an alpha to help them through the heat, it will usually last a lot longer as well. By the time the others return later in the night, Seungmin has fallen into a deep sleep and Changbin knows, or rather his wolf recognises, that his heat will be gone by the next morning, so he leaves Minho to cuddle with the new omega, he lights some scent blocking candles in the room and hallway to help the Omega sleep, before he leaves the sleeping pair and has a long shower, then he settles on the sofa and waits for the others to return. 

When the door eventually opens, signalling the return  of the rest of the group, the first voice he hears is Jeongin. “Hyung, all I asked was why does Changbin always manage to know how to deal with these things so calmly? When you Alphas just seem to panic and overreact.”

“Hey, leave me out of it, Innie, I don't even know how to Alpha yet. Unlike these two idiots.” Felix says before he screams and runs into the living room, being chased by a growling but smiling Jisung.

Changbin jumps when Felix jumps onto his lap, and squeals, “save me from Mr grumpy pants, hyung.” before hiding his face in Changbins neck, causing his brain to short circuit. He can't seem to form words right now. His wolf is, all of a sudden, very restless, he wraps his arms tightly around the newest Alpha, “lets all calm down eh? I think you should start getting ready for bed, it's getting late. Oh, and the bedroom with the closed door is out of bounds for everyone besides the omegas tonight.”

“That's not fair, I'm a beta, not an alpha, so why can't I go in? Why only omegas? You've been in, haven't you? And you’re not an omega.” Hyunjin whines his bottom lip poking out, wanting to go cuddle with the two Omegas behind the door. “Why do you always get special rights?'' he snaps sulkily, and turns to leave the room, when a loud growl echoes round the now silent room.

Before anyone else can react, Felix is across the room, a hand around Hyunjins throat, holding him against the door frame. “Apologise, right now. Don't speak to my Hyung like that again.” he barks at the stunned Beta.

Changbin sighs at the same time his omega gets very giddy at the Alphas reaction, before everyone else starts to talk and shout at once, Hyunjin is suddenly screaming at Felix trying to make him to let go, who refuses to back down even though Hyunjin is also his hyung. Changbin can see Chan scrub his face with his hands as he tries and fails to get everyone to calm down. 

“Felix, baby, come on, let Jinnie go.'' Chan pleads, trying to get Felix's grip to loosen on Hyunjins neck but he doesn't let go, he even growls again. Chan throws his arms up in frustration, Changbin can see the veins in his neck and temple start to pulse visibly, so he steps in, he's just so tired, it's been a long week. 

“Right, everyone stop. Lixie, come sit down.” Felix lets go of Hyunjin instantly and rushes back to climb up onto Changbin lap again, burying his face back in the Omegas neck, nose pressing exactly on his hidden scent gland. “Hyunjin, honey, it's ok, calm down, I know you're tired, we all are, you didn't mean anything by it. I know, ok? But you need to calm down and breathe. Felix is tired as well, aren't you, baby? so let's all just let it go for tonight, yeah?” He watches as Huynjin physically sags where he stands, tears forming in his eyes. Chan, thankfully, wraps his arms around the beta, pulling him in and hugging him tightly. “How about we have a hot drink and then sleep?” Jeongin and Jisung close their mouths before they offer to make the drinks and quickly disappear into the kitchen.

Felix mumbles apologies into Changbins neck, “I'm sorry, I’m so sorry, I don't know what happened. God, I even growled…. at Hyunjin hyung and Chan hyung, fuck, I'm no good at being an Alpha. I seriously suck at it, I shouldn't be one.”

Changbin feels his Omega whine, surprising him, “Hey, Lixie, no one is a perfect Alpha, Beta or Omega, baby. You haven't even had a week to settle into being an Alpha. Relax and stop berating yourself, you’re going to be an amazing Alpha, I bet Omegas everywhere will be swooning over you soon enough.” 

He visibly jumps when his omega lets a loud, very intimidating snarl loose on him, Oh god, what is happening now, he has no time to wonder because now his own omega is pacing inside him, growling at him, luckily it's all internal because they’ve all had enough to deal with today already and he has no way of explaining this.

Chan takes back the role of parent and is soon ushering Felix to go shower and head to bed, along with Hyunjin and Jeongin. When the three of them are alone in the living room, Chan asks how things went with Seungmin. He has to repeat his question three times before Changbin registers and answers. “Oh.. yeah… his heat should be gone before he wakes up, it all went very smoothly. Probably because of having other omegas around, the pure probably helped make it shorter and less painful, but Minho helped the most because he knows how to deal with heats better.” 

“How did you get Felix to stop and let go?” Jisung asks, a smirk on his face making Changbin wary, unsure of what is going through Jisungs mind he says, “What? He always listens to me doesn't he? Nothing unusual.” 

“Hhmm, yeah right. He always listens to Chan who is literally our pack leader at this point, but he growled at him. You though,…for you, he just gave in so easily to. You didn't command him, did you?” Jisung comments before he sees Changbins face drop with worry, then he rushes over to him and hugs him, “shit, I'm sorry, Binnie, I know you would never. Why do we all always assume that's what happens.” They cuddle for a while, Chan joining them until they all start to feel tired so they head off to bed but not before Changbin checks on the other omegas, leaving him happy when he sees the two boys curled around each other, sleeping peacefully. When he enters his room he is kind of surprised to find Felix fast asleep in his bed, cuddling one of his plushies, but that doesn't stop him crawling into that same bed a few minutes later, and when Felix's sleeping form immediately wraps itself around him, he doesn't move at all, just pulls him closer before he falls asleep with his nose in Felix's neck.

The group are halfway through their next comeback when Jeongin presents, joining Hyunjin in the beta subgender, and Changbin is starting to feel guilty, he still hasn't told the rest of the group about his status. He doesn't want to add to the stress of the comeback and all the other things going on within the group. 

The group has to halt their schedule until Jeongin is passed his first rut, luckily Hyunjin noticed Jeongins scent changing before the rest, he knew the maknae was a beta and willingly offered to help him through his first rut, a betas first rut isn't unlike an alphas. The biggest difference is a beta becomes a lot more emotionally unstable during their ruts, an alpha tends to be confident and assertive, Felix aside, whereas a beta will be tearful, shy and lacking in confidence, wanting to hide away from everyone, a hormonal rollercoaster for a few days along side the sexual needs. But after their first rut, most betas become assertive outside their rut, observant and lacking in brain to mouth filters most of the time, it helps the pack run smoother, and because they have another beta in the group, Jeongin will feel comfortable and the rut will be more stable.

The group is tense at times, mainly when strangers are around, with a new Omega in the group, there are many Alphas trying to vie for Seungmins attention, he seems to spend most of his time with Minho or Chan when they are out in the world. Both happy to shoo away unwelcome attention for him.

Felix is still struggling to control his Alpha, which is starting to worry the company as well as the group, he has lost his temper too many times during this latest comeback. He has growled openly at interviewers on shows, he doesn't react well when Omegas try to flirt with him, being very rude and dismissive. Changbin shudders when he recalls how just a week ago, Felix had attacked then pinned another idol to the wall of a music show corridor and staff of the show had run to their dressing room in a panic. Chan had been the only one allowed out to help calm Felix down. Chan had been white as a ghost when they returned, Felix was sobbing uncontrollably until he had wrapped himself around Changbin, once Changbin had pulled him close and soothed him by stroking his hair, Felix had fallen silent and before they realised it, he was asleep. 

Chan had explained what he knew: the idol, who was nearly ten years older than Felix and twice his size, had commented on the fact that stray kids had a broken wolf in their group, saying that he was useless and how they should get rid of him. He hadn't even been talking to Felix, the young alpha had been walking down the hall outside the others room, to grab drinks for the group. Upon hearing this, Felix had stormed into the room and thrown the elder idol across the room, his back hitting the wall hard, then kicked him hard enough in the stomach to send him sliding out the room and he had pinned him to the corridor wall by his throat and threatened to rip his throat out if he ever spoke Changbins name again. 

The company were starting to contemplate putting Felix on medication to sedate his Alpha, especially when they were out of the dorms, to try to keep the boy out of trouble as that was just the latest incident on a pretty long list.

Changbin was frustrated because he couldn't help in any way, if he could just find his mate he could keep the group and future pack stable but he was left feeling useless, his omega was constantly pacing, he put it all down to all the stress. 

He was wrong……

So wrong…

They’ve just finished the comeback and everyone is in agreement that they need some time to relax, so when the company offers to let everyone go home to their families for a few weeks, they all quickly agree, it will be hard, especially for the omegas, because they are all used to being together all the time, but they will stay in touch. Luckily Felix and Chans families are coming to Korea for the time off, partly because it gives the families a free holiday but also because the company doesn't want to risk Felix travelling alone or with just Chan because of his control issues at the moment.

Changbin has packed his bag and is ready to leave, just waiting for his mum to pick him up. He could have taken a taxi but his parents had vetoed that idea. So he’s sitting in his bedroom, when a knock on his door has him opening the door without checking who is on the other side. 

He’s surprised to find a distressed Felix pushing him back into his room, “Hyung, I can't control my wolf, I woke up this morning and he’s going even more crazy. I don't understand why. Why do I have to be an Alpha, and why is mine broken? He always seems so angry, it takes all my energy to stay in control. What if I attack my family? I can't do it, I shouldn't be staying with them, I should be alone, it's safer.” Felix paces the room as he talks.

Changbin knew Felix was struggling but he didnt know it was this bad. He moves to hug the younger boy but is surprised when Felix steps back away from him. “Too volatile, hyung, if i get too close…. I'm scared I could hurt you. God, is this my life now? Keeping everyone at a distance. It's just not fair, why is this happening to me?” 

Changbin grabs hold of him and wraps him in his arms, “Shhh.. it will be ok, Lixie, I will always be here for you, you would never hurt me, would you? And you wouldn't hurt your family either. It's just a hiccup, it will be sorted out in time. Worrying will only make you feel less in control ok? Breath for me baby.” he can feel Felix start to relax, but then the alpha pulls away and stares at Changbin.

“How do you do that? You always calm my alpha down, no matter what it's feeling. It calms down around you.” Then Felix wraps himself back around Changbin, “I think that's my problem with being an alpha, Binnie. I had always hoped…..but now I’m an alpha….and there's no way is there? God I’m so sorry, I should just go. My dad will be here soon, so will your mum and you shouldn’t have to deal with me and my stupid wolf issues.” 

Before Changbin can say anything Felix runs out of the room and into his own room, as he goes to follow his phone pings, a text to tell him his mum is downstairs, a growl erupts from his throat as he thinks about Felix, his wolf isn't happy with leaving him upset, alone in his room. As he stands staring at Felix's door, Chan leaves the kitchen, “I’ll talk to him and text you later. Go, don't keep your mum waiting. He's only a call away, call him if you're still worried ok? I think we’ll all be in touch with him.”

So Changbin finds himself leaving the dorm, while his Omega whines and whimpers. His mum silently listens as he worries and rants all the way home, a small smile on her lips.

He keeps his phone in his hand all day, only letting it go when he eventually is forced into the shower before dinner. He is happy to see that Felix is talking in the group chat they all use. The text he received from Chan an hour ago, telling him that Felix had calmed down and had no problems with his wolf the rest of the day had helped his own wolf calm down as well.

When Changbin joins his parents for dinner he’s surprised to see his sister at the table, tears fall down his face for most of the meal, Changbin really, really missed his big sister, more than he had realised it seems as he was still sniffling when the two of them had settled down on the floor of the living room in front of the sofa their parents were on. When the movie begins, Changbin laughs out loud, “Really? Train to Busan again Mum? You know the whole script by now don't you? Last time we watched this, mum screamed before anything even happened. I thought dad was gonna have a heart attack, I've never seen him turn that colour from laughing before. Honestly, sis, I have suffered alone in your absence.” Changbin says before he curls up next to his sister in the makeshift nest he’s unconsciously built.

When Changbin wakes up, the first thing he notices is daylight, he’s surprised that he slept through most of the movie and the night without waking up. The second thing he notices is that he is sweating, like a lot of sweat, his clothes are drenched in it. He decides a shower sounds good so climbs out of bed, only to collapse back onto it when a excrutiating pain runs through his body. He tries to stand again and manages to cross the hallway to the bathroom, closing the door before another wave of pain strikes, stronger than the one before. Changbin grabs the sink as he waits for the pain to pass, then he grabs some pain relief from the cupboard under the sink, and climbs into the shower, his need to feel clean pushing him to scrub his body. 

He is rinsing his hair when another powerful wave of pain courses through him, making him panic, his mind listing the possible causes, appendicitis, food poisoning… then he feels something he's never felt before, slick is leaking from his body. Before he can stop, he is screaming loudly as he drops to the floor and curls up in a ball under the water. How is he supposed to know who his Alpha is? Did he meet them at one of the shows they appeared on? He’s never going to find them again, he will end up alone. Why is his wolf happy? He wonders, does it not realise he will never find his mate, not now. 

He doesn't remember his sister carrying him back to a clean bed, or his mum curling up with him as his body goes through the second ever heat he has endured. It takes nearly two weeks for his heat to break, most of which is spent in hospital under his doctor's care when his body rejects all food after the second day of his heat. Changbin is relieved when he is allowed back home, he knows his mum had to let Chan, Minho and Jisung know he had been in heat and hospitalised. But when they ask to visit he refuses, telling them to enjoy their holidays, saying he is fine (he isn't) and they will all be back at the dorms soon enough.

Changbin spends his last days curled up with his family, crying at the thought of never finding his alpha. He snaps at his parents often when he sees the smiles and knowing looks they have on their faces, because they won't tell him why they seem so happy when he's lost all hope of finding his mate. He feels pathetic and weak when, in the middle of the night, laid staring at the ceiling, he starts to feel excited about going back to the dorms, his omega is pacing inside him, refusing to give him a break, demanding his Alpha be next to him. 

As the next two days pass, Changbin is physically vibrating as the time to leave and go back to the group approaches. Even his sister notices, because when they’re sitting on the sofa watching anime she says “Binnie, have you ever wondered if your alpha is in the group with you? I know what you’re gonna say, that's not possible, you’ve all lived together for too long. But this Pure, fated mates thing is vague at best. The way they describe it, how you're supposed to react, it's not realistic is it? Just think about it, your omega hides itself from every alpha, beta and even omega out there till it finds its mate, then everything just kicks back in without you knowing who it is, that's dangerous for you.” 

Changbin sighs “I know all this, sis, we all do. That's why I'm sure it's not one of our alphas. I wish it was that easy to find them,”

“No, Binnie baby, think about it from an outside perspective. If your omega goes to those extremes to protect itself, why would it reveal itself for some total stranger, even if it is your mate? Wouldn’t your wolf, and you know your wolf, only show itself if it felt safe with whoever its mate is? That means you know them and your wolf feels safe and loved by them, maybe? That's why this is happening now, you’ve had time to relax after the others have presented and the latest comeback, it's the perfect time to reveal itself to the alpha, no?” 

Changbin stares at his sister blankly, trying to process all of that. He hopes that is true, that his mate is someone he knows, but when he thinks of the Alphas, he can't imagine any of the group wanting to be with him, fate or not. Chan isn't into men so he hopes fate wouldn't be that cruel, plus Chan isn't someone Changbin is attracted to, yes he's gorgeous but so are all the members. Jisung is blatantly in love with Minho. And as much as he wants it to be Felix, Felix has already said he and his wolf have a lot of problems, he doesn't want his Alpha status, it couldn't be him, could it? Except every time he thinks about Felix, his omega becomes aggressively needy, like it wants to run and crawl under Felix's skin and stay hidden there. It doesn't help to admit he is very attracted to the younger alpha, and has been for a while now if he’s honest with himself.

“You know, don't you? Now you’ve thought about it, deep down you know, I'm right aren't i? Who is it? Don't keep your big sister in the dark.” 

Changbin nods, then smiles widely as he whispers “Felix.” His omega lets out a howl, now that Changbin has figured it out, far too slowly for his omegas liking, his wolf wants to claim his mate, and that scares him, claiming is forever for a Pure Omega and Felix is a new alpha, a baby really, that would be really unfair on Felix if he were to tell him wouldn't it? Unlike other wolves, who can break the bonds from a mating, Pure matings are unbreakable, when Changbin does bond and mate with his Alpha (Felix, it’s Felix, his wolf screams at him) he can’t take it back, there is no breaking it ever. Can he really be that selfish and take away Felix's future so soon after he’s presented? No, he won't do that, can’t do that to him. He will show his interest but in the end Felix needs to be free to decide for himself without the pressure of his Pure omega being known.

Changbin returns to the dorm a couple of days before the others, wanting time alone to think, without his family hovering about, their giddiness and excitement overwhelming his senses every time he is near one of them. He talks for hours with his parents and sister at first and he realises he wants to try to court Felix, so he heads back to have some time to figure things out. 

He ends up cleaning the whole dorm because of his omega nerves. He wants everything to look perfect for when Felix comes home. As he cleans the bedrooms, he starts picking up clothing from each member and takes them to the groups nest room. He even finds himself digging through Felix’s wardrobe for extra items, ok, he literally empties the boys wardrobe of clothing, before he climbs onto the large bed and meticulously starts to build a nest worthy of his mate and all the future pack members. He spends hours moving things around, a sleeve needing to be folded just right, a hoodie has to be tucked together with a bathrobe and some joggers, ending up kind of plaited together. But it still feels wrong, something is bugging his omega and he falls asleep sitting up in the middle of the nest, a t-shirt gripped in each hand trying to figure it out.

Changbin jolts awake when he hears a distant conversation in the dorm. Scrambling out of the nest, he rushes out the room and towards the voices, he's excited to see Hyunjin and Seungmin dropping their bags into their rooms, “You're back early.”

He ignores the bloodcurdling scream that escapes from Hyunjin when he surprises them both, he grabs their bags and starts to empty them, throwing things onto the floor before grabbing hoodies and tops, he rushes back to the nest, not noticing them following behind him in curiosity.

Seungmin gasps, stopping in the doorway when he sees the very large nest, “Jinnie, did you know hyung is an omega? How? When did that happen?” Hyunjin just stares in shock, watching the clothes Changbin has taken being tucked and threaded through the nest walls.

“Changbin, Have you eaten today?” he asks the omega as they watch him  work on the nest again. The omega shakes his head, “It has to be ready, I can't eat until it's right, I need him to really like it. What if he doesn't like it? What will I do if he doesn't want me? Do you like my nest?” Suddenly the room is filled with a strong scent of distress, making the two boys realise they can now smell Changbin and boy, is he an Omega, a suddenly very scared Omega. Seungmin climbs up next to him on the bed and is shocked when Changbin immediately climbs on his lap, tears streaming down his face, "we love it, it's the prettiest nest I've ever seen, Hyung." Seungmin says trying to at least lessen the tears falling down Changbins face. Hyunjin panics, he rushes out of the room and grabs his phone, he automatically sends a group text. 

Need help asap, Changbinnie is freaking out, don't know what to do to help. 

He then grabs some snack food for Changbin to eat until they can calm him down enough to have a meal. He leaves his phone in the kitchen, too busy juggling the food and water. He sits at the edge of the nest, and eventually manages to get Changbin to drink and eat something.

“Sorry, guys. I didn't know I’d have a melt down on you.” Changbin laughs eventually, taking a bite of the protein bar in his grip. “Fuck, I didnt even get a chance to tell you, did I? This isn't how you were supposed to find out, I'm sorry I didn't tell you before.”

“What do you mean hyung? Aren't you a newly presented omega?” Seungmin asks him, surprised.

“I wish, Minnie baby, but no, I presented at 16, I'm what's called a Pure omega. Different from normal omegas like you. I have one fated mate, an Alpha. I was told, I mean we all were told, that after my first heat I wouldn't be recognised as an omega by anyone else until I met that one Alpha. They say my wolf and I would know with a single look, but that was all crap, that's not how it went.” he says, his words slurring, then yawning widely as he finishes talking. “I need to get all this finished before tomorrow.” his eyes take longer to reopen every time he blinks until he is once again asleep, this time laid between the two younger boys. Hyunjin covers his sleeping form with a blanket a while later, before they both slip out of the room. Hyunjin suddenly remembers his phone when he hears the pings constantly going. Seungmin checks his own phone before slapping Hyunjin up the back of his head. “How many times, Jinnie Hyung. You have to stop being so cryptic when you send messages. Look at the state of everyone.” 

Hyunjin cringes as he reads the number of messages that came back after his short message. Everyone is blowing up his phone in panic. He doesn't even read them just sends out:

Sorry guys, I panicked, he’s ok now, well better, also we all need to talk, like really soon, so please come back asap.

Seungmin reads that and sighs before adding his own message to the chat.

The good thing is, he isn't here alone to look after Changbin hyung, he luckily also has me.

You should have heard the note Jinnie hit when he screamed earlier. It was really impressive. I'm pretty sure a couple of glasses might have shattered.

Hyunjin slaps Seungmin this time, “why did you have to tell them that?” Seungmin just laughs at the beta. 

They set to work making dinner, enough for everyone, and just as they finish plating it up for themselves and Changbin, the front door of the dorm bangs open, Felix appears in the doorway, “That smell is amazing guys? Where's Changbin hyung? Is he ok? What the fuck happened? Expect a lecture or four about the meaning of ‘mobile’ phones as well, just saying.” When they both point in the direction of the nest, he turns towards the room but stops dead when Hyunjin suddenly asks him “Did you know, Lix? Did you know that he’s an Omega?” 

Felix drops into the nearest chair, his legs suddenly not wanting to support his weight, “What? He presented? When? How come no one fucking tells me these things?” He looks at the others, grabbing a bowl of food and eating it quickly, nearly choking when Seungmin says, “He presented at 16, he’s different though. He can explain it better than us, go wake him up, he hasn't eaten since yesterday except for a protein bar we gave him, something about having to make a nest perfect for his mate.” 

Felix's alpha whines, but he stands and heads towards the room where the older boy is, the boy he and his wolf have wanted to claim even when he was so sure Changbin was going to be an Alpha like him. He had spent most of his time with his parents trying to reason with himself that he should just talk to Changbin, in the hopes that the older boy would maybe be open to dating another Alpha, but now he doesn't know what is happening, Changbin is an Omega, he has been all this time. Does he not like Felix, like Felix thought and hoped he did. Why had he never made a move or anything? Why di he keep it all a secret?

Changbin is pulled awake by his omega becoming agitated, feeling disoriented, he isn't sure why he's awake when he feels so, so tired until he hears the voice of the alpha he is fated to be with, but more importantly, he realises, the boy he really, really wants to be with. A panic falls over him as he takes in the nest, and the state of himself. He quickly starts to pull more pieces of clothing onto his nest, a minute or so later his omega suddenly calms, as he folds Felix's favourite hoodie over his own, apparently his omega thinks the nest is ready.

 As he turns to climb out of  it, the door is pushed open and Felix is there, openly watching him. Changbin drops his gaze until Felix speaks, “Binnie hyung, you need to eat, let's go to the living room to eat. Don't want to make a mess of this beautiful nest, do we? You’ve worked very hard on it, haven't you?” He turns and walks away as he speaks, Changbin scrambles off the bed, and rushes to follow Felix, his omega going into overdrive, his alpha complimented his nest. Aren't Pure omegas supposed to be born leaders, capable of standing up to alphas, brave, fearless fighters, so why is he behaving like a simpering fool? 

He doesn't miss how the others in the room are watching him now they know he's an omega, Seungmin whines when Changbin sits on the floor near the coffee table, before he clambers off the sofa and joins him on the floor. “Does this mean we get to nest together now hyung? Don't tell him I told you so, but Minho hyung isn't really much of a nester, the only amazing nest he’s built so far was when I presented, do you remember?”

“That was mine, not Minhos, he didn't start making an effort with nests until after Jisung asked him out.” Changbin mutters through his mouthful of food, Felix continuously spooning rice and meat in. 

“WHAT?” all eyes look at him in shock.

Changbin smiles but doesn't say anything else, too busy enjoying the way his Alpha is pampering him right now. 

“They're really dating? Since when? How did we not notice?'' Hyunjin asks, leading to him and Seungmin having a small argument about the ships in their group. Changbin does notice Felix is unusually quiet on the topic and in general. 

“Felix, what's going on in that head of yours?” he asks when they run out of food, meaning he can now speak clearly again. Felix shakes his head, but says nothing, which suddenly sets the omega on edge, did he do something wrong? Does he like Minho and not him? And when he eventually gathers enough courage to look at the Alpha, he is surprised to see tears in the younger  boys eyes. But before he can say anything, the front door opens once more and the rest of the group pile through, bags being dropped on the floor in a mess before they rush into the living room, taking in the four on the floor. Felix, eyes downcast with tears falling down his face, Hyunjin being pinned in a chokehold by Seungmin, who is laughing as the older fights back. And then there is Changbin who is curling in on himself, slightly rocking himself not far from the tearful alpha. 

Minho rushes to Changbin, arms wrapping around him, trying to calm the omega down, “shh, baby, come on, let's go nest yeah? Minnie, you’re up too, come one.” he pulls Changbin and Seungmin out of the room while everyone else just watches dumbfounded. No one reacts until a whine leaves Felix and echoes in the silence, Jisung quickly sits next to him and pulls him close. 

“What the hell happened here, Hyunjin? Felix? Someone speak.” he says as he strokes Felixs hair to try and calm him down.

"I don't know, we were all taking….since when are you and Minho hyung a thing?... But then Seungmin had me pinned and you came in, nothing was said. Oh besides Changbins an Omega, he's a fucking Omega,  Chan." Hyunjin all but yells the past part. He doesn't miss the silent conversation the two Alphas seem to be having. "Did you know? Since when?" 

"Jisungs known longer than me, I only found out when Felix presented." Chan tries to reason with the annoyed Beta, when Felix speaks up, "He never said a thing, I thought we were close, but he never said a thing." Hiccups making it hard to be understood, but Jisung runs his back and quietly says, "He was gonna do it, he wanted to tell you all, but it was so hectic he couldn't find the right time. He is a lot more complicated than a normal Omega you see. Don't hold it against him, Lixie bell."

Minho pushes the door to the nest room open and gasps at the beautiful nest Changbin has spent nearly two days building, “wow, now I'm jealous, you have to teach me how you make it look so impressive Binne. Can we go in it?” 

Changbin chuckles, “sure, you can hyung. Is it ok if I just quickly shower first, I haven't showered since I came back.”

He doesn't want to have to say it but he doesn't want to go into that nest anymore, he spent all that time hoping to impress Felix, who doesn't seem to even want him like that, what is he supposed to do now? He stands under the hot water and tries to figure it all out. Could he stay in the group? He isn't sure if he can deal with watching Felix love someone else when he is now doomed to be alone forever. No other Alpha, or beta even, would want an omega who can't bond with them. A loud whimper escapes him before he can stop it, as his Omega already starts to pine the loss of his Alpha and life partner. 

“You ok in there Binnie? Your scent is getting really strong, I can tell you're overthinking whatever it is that's upset you.” Minho says from outside the bathroom door as if he's waiting for him to finish, so Changbin takes a minute and forces himself to calm down, trying to damp down his pheromones. It takes some effort but he eventually leaves the bathroom with a calm facade in place. “Let's go watch a movie in my room, I’m in the mood for horror.” he says to the omegas who were still waiting for him, making it obvious he doesn't want to talk yet and when they catch sight of Jeongin pacing in the hallway they drag him along too, away from that damned nest.

Halfway through the movie Jeongin is restlessly fidgeting instead of the pacing, Changbin catches him staring at him more than the screen. He eventually pauses the movie, asking Seungmin and Minho if they could please grab drinks, Seungmin whines but is dragged out by the older omega.

“What's up, Innie?” Changbin asks as soon as the door is closed. “Is there anything I can help you with baby?”

He is surprised when the maknae actually scoffs at him, “I think you have done enough….no, wait, let me rephrase that.. You haven't done anything, have you? You just let it all keep it on going, nothing changes and we’re gonna lose someone at this rate.” 

Jeongin moves to sit cross legged in front of Changbin, caging him in on the bed. “Can I say something?..... I’m unsure about all this Pure Omega stuff, but for us regular people, life usually goes like this: We present, struggle for a while, but then we try to find a mate. Now don't think we never noticed you haven't even been out on a single date since we all met. Which is ok, really it is hyung. But you also pretend to not see the people who are interested in you. And I know Channie would probably tell me it's not my place to tell you but right now I can't just sty quiet and watch this all unfold.” 

Changbin feels his hands being wrapped in the younger boy's grip as he continues to speak, “Hyung, you like Felix don't you? I mean I think it's pretty obvious even without the subgender thing. So why the fuck are you not even trying? He is perfect for you, I know he really, really likes you too. You know that's why he was so upset when he presented, didn't you? He thought for sure you would be an Alpha and most likely not interested in dating another Alpha.”

“Innie, for god's sake breathe. I know, alright? I know I'm making a mess of everything, but it's not that simple for me, and I can't do that to him. Felix means the world to me, he's so fucking perfect. My omega and I will always agree on that, but It's not fair for me to be selfish. He deserves to have all the options, have time to experience everything in life and I can't take that away from him. I won't be that type of person. Plus I really don't think he does think of me like that Innie.” Changbin can feel the tears falling from his eyes but he doesn't bother to wipe them away.

“What? He's been attacking and nearly killing Alphas every week just for looking at you weird, he doesn't do that for Minnie or Minho. it's only you his Alpha feels the need to protect so violently. How can you be so intelligent yet so fucking dumb? You really haven't noticed that as a new Alpha he hasn't shown any interest in any of the omegas that are always around. Even when he, like most of us, thought you might be an Alpha, he's still always attached to you.” Jeongin says with disbelief.

Changbins eyes dry as he listens to Jeongin. Is he really that blind? Should he really get his hopes up again? “Do you really think he likes me? When he came back earlier he was so sad. Yeah he fed me,  but he wouldn't talk to me, why wouldn't he talk to me?.” he knows he’s being stupid but to be fair he didnt think he would be this lucky. 

“For fucks sake…” Jeongin jumps off the bed and barges past Minho and Seungmin who are returning with food, “don't bother getting comfy guys…” is all he says as he disappears down the hallway, leaving the others standing in the room unsure what happened while Changbin refuses to look up at them.

A minute later, Jeongin returns dragging a still very tearful Felix with him, he pushes the tearful Alpha onto the bed next to a frozen Changbin before ushering the other omegas out the room with a “sort your shit out.” before he slams the door closed. The beta can be heard dragging the rest of the group into the living room.

They sit quietly for a few minutes, neither knowing what to do or say it seems. Eventually though Changbin looks over at Felix, only to find the younger is already staring at him, his teeth pulling on his lower lip, when their eyes meet Changbin feels the overwhelming urge to climb into the alphas lap and never leave again. And when Felix tentatively reaches a hand out to him, he can't control his response because he suddenly pulls Felix into his own lap and Felix is eager because he quickly moves, stradling Changbins thighs, burying his head into his neck, his arms wrapped around his waist.

“I’m so sorry, hyungie, I should’ve listened to my wolf instead of fighting it.” he mumbles against Changbins scent gland before he kisses it softly. The Omega inside him swoons at the touch. Changbin pulls him closer, “it's all on me, I was so busy waiting for my Alpha, everything I had been taught was wrong. I was attracted to you from the start, long before you presented Lix. Looking back I think my Omega already knew, but because I was led to believe it would be obvious when I met my Alpha, met you, I missed it all. Even your possessiveness didn't register, you've struggled with it all, your Alpha and everything because I was so blind. I should have told you all from the start.”

 Felix sits up to meet his gaze, “Is this why your dad gave us that weird ass speech that first time we met your parents?” he teases the Omega and when Changbin nods he says, “is it all really worth it if there isn't plenty of angst first, in a romance Hyung?”  

They both burst out laughing, not stopping until their eyes lock again and then they are kissing. Felix growls loudly when Changbin whimpers at the taste of his Alpha. They fall back onto the bed, curling up together as they makeout for what feels like hours. 

Suddenly Felix pulls back, “So want to explain why we are in here, in your bed when there's the most amazing nest I've ever seen waiting a couple of doors down? Unless you built it for someone else, I mean I can understand, but seeing as my wardrobe is void of clothes, i thought …. You know…” he smiles brightly at the omega. 

Changbin growls loudly, climbing off the bed before he lifts the Alpha, throwing him over his shoulder and carrying him out the room, Felix squealing and laughing at his reaction. Felix bounces across the nest when he is thrown into it, but is quickly pinned under the muscular frame of the omega. “You really like it? I built it for you, but I want the group to like it too. Now I have you, I’ll build you a new nest every night. If you want me to.” Felix pulls him down for another long kiss.

“Always. As long as I can share it with you.” is all Felix manages to say before the rest of the group runs through the open door and joins them on the bed.

Hyunjin slaps Changbins butt, “Can you stop scaring the crap out of me. What the hell was that loud ass growl for, I nearly broke my phone.” 

“So instead of gym buddies, it looks like we can do the double dates instead.” Jisung quips, earning a groan from Minho, “I am not sharing our alone time with these two, no way. Not happening.” Minho says with a straight face, before he climbs over Chan and sits closer to the cuddling couple, “we still on for lotto world at the weekend, Binnie?” 

Not much changes at first, Felix still sleeps in Changbins bed, though there are decidedly less clothes under the covers, but they decide to wait to mate until Changbins next heat, so their bond will strengthen and be sealed.

It isn't until one morning, a month later, as they arrive at the company that things start to change. The group is called for a meeting that wasn't scheduled, and when they enter the room, Changbin is surprised to see his doctor also in the room. One of the managers decides to speak first, “So can we assume by that large hickey on your neck that you have found your alpha? Do we know them?” he asks Changbin, who slaps a hand over his neck, where, not half an hour ago, Felix was eagerly attached. Fuck, he had forgotten about the contract. 

Changbin visibly pales, “erm Yeah? But it's not like we kept it from you, I totally forgot to tell you. it wasn't an instant thing like everyone expected. I didn't realise until I went back home.”

Everyone in the group is looking confused at this point so another manager explains about the clauses in Changbins contract with regards to his status. When they are still confused at the end of it, changbin feels the urge to add to what was said, “so you know how the Pure omega thing works regarding finding a partner, but most dont hear of the history of abuse a Pure omega. In the past many have been abused by power hungry Alphas, trying to force that bond and mating so they can claim the power of being able to command other Alphas even though it's through the Omegas powers, so an unmated Pure Omega is in danger of that happening which is why I asked them to hide my status, even on paper. But I agreed that once I had found my Alpha they could publicise it. I was so sure I wouldn't be lucky enough to find him so soon. I’m sorry Lixie.”

He stares straight into Felix's eyes as he says the last part. When Felix smiles brightly he relaxes a little.

“Wait a minute,” says the manager, “are you telling us it's Felix? Lee Felix is your fated Alpha?” Felix smiles and nods, “I am lucky enough to be his Alpha yes. Binnie baby, don't worry, I'm happy for the whole world to know, but after what you just told us, can I ask that you wait till after we bond officially? I don't want anyone near my Omega until I have claimed him.” Even though everyone can feel the intenseness he is giving off, he gives them all a big bright baby smile, making everyone laugh, as he wraps himself around the Omega.

Once everything is worked out, the group go back to their normal routine, though they are playing catchup on their schedule, having had a few days off that they hadn't expected to work through things. Life returns to normal once again.

Chan tells them all that they are doing a collaboration with another group for one of the end of year shows, they have to work with the other group in that group's company as the group is a bigger group and has larger dance studios. Everyone is excited obviously, they know many of the idols in the group and are good friends but Felix slowly starts to get stressed as the day of their first meeting approaches.

Minho and Hyunjin have been trying to calm him down in the dance studio the morning of the first day of training and it seems to work. Changbin curls up next to him in the van as they travel across Seoul to the other company. Felix pulls him onto his lap, ignoring the look from their manager, who is driving them. Changbin preens as Felix buries his nose in his neck and starts to rub against his gland.  It takes everything he has to keep himself reigned in, his omega suddenly wanting to claim him before they leave the van.

Their dance teacher is with them today, the manager leaving them at the building because it seemed safe for them, he will be working together with the other groups teacher to make sure the idols from both groups match up well when dancing. So he leads the way inside, oblivious to how the group seem to crowd around Changbin, who is silently laughing at their overreaction to everything, even the other omegas are trying to hide him away from strangers.

Once they get into the studio, they have to let him go free when one of the other groups members shouts his name excitedly before pulling him across the room to meet someone from his group, though Felix does stay close, one arm posessively over Changbins shoulder at all times unless they are dancing. The day goes by quietly and quickly, which helps the boys relax. Changbin can't wait to get home, he has a strong need to nest, which has been building all day. He catches himself pulling coats into a pile before he stops himself. He ends up sat close to the other omegas, Minho giving him cuddles to help settle him down when he keeps fidgeting. They say goodbye to the other group of idols, who are dragged out as soon as the practice is done for an appearance on a TV show.

It's as they are packing up that it happens, a young female omega, one of the other companies backing dancers starts to openly flirt with Felix, he politely tells her that he isn't interested and that he is already taken, which ends with the young omega complaining to her teammates, and when they see the way Felix curls around Changbin as they sit down, one of the Alpha dancers loudly sneers. “what a fucking weirdo, turning down a pretty omega for that nothing boy. Minsoo is right, they aren't normal in that group.” 

Felix is across the room before anyone can stop him, his fist connecting full force with the Alphas face, and before he knows it, a full on brawl breaks out, as others try to separate them only to be hit by a stray punch, with the level of anger in the room, the Alphas and Betas are quickly losing control, making some of the younger omegas distraught, Seungmin included. Even Chan and Jisung end up joining Changbin, as he also starts throwing punches because the backing dancers slowly start to crowd Felix, trying to take him down together. 

When Changbin sees the teachers panicking in the corner of the room, doing absolutely nothing, he is suddenly angry beyond belief, he can't stop his livid omega from breaking out and taking control. How dare they try to hurt his alpha? His pack mates.

“ENOUGH, EVERYONE STOP RIGHT NOW.” he screams, his omega pushing his voice to be heard over the noise, not knowing what will happen.

When every single Alpha and Beta in the room, except Felix, stops moving straight away, Changbin quickly freaks out, his distressed scent flooding the room, for the first time since he found Felix was his alpha. Felix is there to calm him down though, “Release them, baby. You put a hell of a lot of command into that, I felt it." He kisses Changbins cheek, as Changbin says, “I’m sorry, everyone, I didn't mean to, I just wanted the fighting to stop, they were hurting Felix, and the teachers didn't do anything to stop it, please forgive me.” and then everyone else is moving again, everyone in their group is crowding round him, asking if he is ok, saying it's all ok. The other Alphas and Betas in the room all stand in shock at being commanded, something only Alphas should be able to do, even though most never use the ability as it is frowned upon.

“Okay, we’re leaving, right now guys. I’m really sorry everyone but this isn't gonna work, I cant have these dancers working with Changbin and Felix anymore. Tell your managers to get in touch with ours.” Chan says to the teacher of the other company. Chan ushers their group out of the building, their teacher following silently behind them in shock, as he was hit by the command as well. They find a cafe not far from the building and crowd in while they wait for their manager to return to collect them.

“Are you all ok?” Minho asks while they wait, “I’ve gotta say it, that was bloody impressive, Binnie, but also a little scary, the way they all stopped dead, I can see why you would be covered by power hungry Alphas…... How come Felix wasn't affected?”

When they all agree they are ok, even though the ones who fought have plenty of bruises, Changbin, who is wrapped around Felix, chews his lip before he speaks, “I don't know Minho, it’s the first time I have done anything like that, I’m sorry it affected you all, guys. I don't know why Felix wasn't affected though."⁰

Felix pulls him in for a kiss, before the alpha says, “Maybe it's because I'm yours, I doubt there would ever be a reason to have to use it on me.”

“Yeah, he's so whipped. He’d do anything for you anyways.” Jeongin quips, making everyone but Felix laugh. He just whines before his mouth attaches to Changbins neck, most likely leaving hickeys everywhere, not that Changbin is complaining.

Chans phone pings letting them know the manager is here, they leave the cafe and start to climb into the van, only then do they realise their dance teacher is no longer around. “Where did he go? Did he get in touch with you at all?” Chan asks the manager as the door is closed after the last member sits down.

“Oh, he called in, said he was seriously sick, and he needed the rest of the day off. So what happened in there? Is there a reason you four have injuries?” he asks as he pulls into traffic. 

“We’ll explain when we get back, probably not a good idea while you’re driving Hyung.” Chan says before the van falls into silence.

They head back to the company building, knowing they have to explain to help sort things out before anything is leaked. So Changbin finds himself caged in once again as the group head up to the meeting room, only this time Felix is wrapped around him and refusing to let him go, he even snaps his teeth at Jisung when he touches Changbin as they enter the lift. It earns him a judgemental glance from the manager but no one else says a word, they understand how he feels.

Changbin is beyond happy, his wolf is purring at Felix being so possessive, he is surprised to realise his Omega has a very submissive streak when it comes to his mate. He grips Felix's hands, which are wrapped tightly around his waist. A whine escapes his lips when Felix steps back as the lift stops on their floor. Changbin blushes as he walks with everyone else smiling at him. The meeting does not take as long as he expected, he listens as Minho retells everything, with Chans input in places. It seems the managers had expected something like this because they waited until just before they were leaving to pass a folder to Chan, “you all need to read and sign this if you agree, take your time on your decisions, guys please.”

They wait until the managers have left the room before Chan grabs the folder, he opens it and starts to read it silently, leaving everyone waiting. He huffs a few times before he clears his throat, “so yeah everyone should read it themselves before they decide, there's a lot of small print in here. But the gist of it is, they want the band to form a pack, obviously they assume Changbin will be the pack leader, which seems fair, but they also want you two to claim each other so hopefully there's no more, ok, less, violent tendencies from Felix.” 

The first voice heard is from Changbin, because he knew something like this would happen, as a pure he expected the extra paperwork and stuff. “No! I don't wanna be Pack leader, it should be Chan. you should lead both, I don't think anythings gonna change or that there will be any extra work than you do for the group, for the title. But if we have an Omega, a pure one at that, as leader then we will struggle getting along with other groups, stupid alphas out there will be always trying to oust me and attacking you guys.” 

"Let's talk at home, yeah? It will be easier if we all take some time to think first." Chan says. He knows they have a lot of decisions ahead and he wants to give everyone time. What he doesn't expect is what happens when they arrive back at the dorm.

Everyone slowly walks into the living room, dropping onto sofas and chairs, Minho pulls Jisung onto his lap as Felix climbs onto Changbins, Hyunjin snuggling with Jeongin, Chan sits next to Seungmin and throws the envelope onto the coffe table, he sighs as he leans back and stares at the ceiling. "Should have known they would be getting that ready for us. They love the idea of showing off a Pure." He says to no one in particular.

"I wanna do it, I'm willing to be in a pack with you all. I don't think I'd ever want to have any other leader than you, Channie Hyung."  Jeongin says with determination. "I love you all, and yeah there will eventually be more people joining the pack but that's ok it will mean everyone has found someone to love, and as long as everyone is happy, I will be too." He quickly hides his face when they all stare at him. 

"What he said." Hyunjin breaks the silence, "I'm in, maybe it's easier for us Betas to decide, maybe we just love you all so much, but everything Innie said, I agree with. If it helps Felix and Changbins situation then I'd do it right now. I love you guys so much." He says as he looks at the others spread around the room.

Changbin is amazed that both betas are willing to join the pack so easily, he knows he wants to also join so he tells them, "I also would be happy to join a pack with you all, I mean, obviously, but I have to go wherever Felix goes, if he chooses you then you can count both of us in. And I promise to never ever use my Pure powers on any of you again."

"I'm not going anywhere, so let's be a pack. We already live like one, we accept Chan as our leader in our lives don't we and I love you guys so much." Felix says, blushing deeply before he pulls Changbin in for a soft kiss. "I wanna mate with Binnie, as soon as we can. And if everyone agrees, let's get Chan settled as our pack leader before that as well." 

Chan is surprised at the ease that everyone is agreeing, "You know it's a serious thing, forming a pack, it's not like a mating bond, it's for life, unless you want to have some serious pain breaking it, not many survive that. It's why many mated pairs don't join new packs after they meet. Only those who are single usually go into packs. Are you all really really sure? Do you want some time to think about it?" 

Minho slaps a hand over Chan's mouth, "stop! Oh my god, you sound like you don't want us to form a pack. Stop putting a negative spin on it all. If we become a pack, we will stay together for a long time, things will be easier, the bond formed from it all will be better for all of us but especially for Felix, and of course Binnie. You should be telling us these kinds of things Channie." He says as he gives Chan a look of exasperation.

"I know, I know, but it's going to be my pack, me as a lead Alpha, it's not the same as a fucking kpop group, there's no managers to run to to help with problems. it's just me and you all know I'm not perfect, I'm bloody stupid at times." Chan mutters, his head hanging.

"That's why we choose you and your pack, hyung, you don't pretend to know everything, and we trust that you will ask for help the same as you do for the group, there are plenty of older packs we know, that will give us advice and we have our secret weapon."Jisung says as he looks at Changbin with a smile. “So we're gonna do this?” 

Seungmin and Jeongin both attack Chan in his seat, “Please Chan Hyung, say yes. We don't want anyone else to be our pack Alpha.” the Maknae says as he wraps himself around the older boy. “Ok, let's have a couple of days before we sign the papers…I just want all of us to think a little longer but yes, I will happily sign it.” Chan says, slightly muffled because of the bodies wrapped around him.

They wait a whole week before they actually sign the paperwork, when Chan, Jisung and Changbin hand the papers back to their manager, Chan tells him that they will let the company know when they are ready to make the pack official because it's not something that can be done overnight. Their lives go back to normal, they continue to rehearse with the other group of idols, using their own backing dancers, everything goes smoothly. 

It’s the morning of the day they will perform live on stage in front of many other groups and idols, fans and important people of korea, and the many fans of kpop who will watch around the world. So of course Changbin feels a little off that morning, he wakes up feeling like he hasn't even slept, his arms tightening around Felixs waist as he inhales deeply, he realises Felix's scent is stronger than usual. A hand to his forehead tells Changbin that something is wrong, he tries to rouse the sleeping boy but he doesn't respond, which leaves Changbin a little (lot) panicked, he screams for Chan, maybe a little louder than was really needed seeing as he was only a single wall away.

 The door bursts open and a dishevelled Chan is looking at them, "He's burning up and won't wake up Chan, what's up with him?" Changbin asks straight away, arms still holding the unconscious Felix. 

"MINHO….. Ok, so I think he's going into his first real rut Binnie, it shouldn't affect him like this but he's had so many problems, it might be because of that." Chan says, sniffing the air and hoping he's right, and when Minho comes in the room, he pales quickly, "oh god, that's strong, how long has he been in preheat?"

Changbin shakes his head, "don't know, he was ok last night, so sometime in the night I should think." He looks at them both when Felix lets out a moan, "Is he in pain? Can we help him?" He's on the verge of panic, his sisters' ruts never went like this, and from what he has seen of Chan and Jisung, theirs haven't either. 

 Just as Chan opens his mouth to speak, Felix moves in Changbins arms until he can latch his mouth onto one of Changbins nipples, he lets out another moan as he does it and everyone in the room simultaneously blushes, "ok so yeah I don't think its pain, Bin. We'll, erm, let you take care of it." Then Chan and Minho bolt from the room, ushering the others that had woken up away from their room, "Min, if you're going to Jisungs bed can I sleep in your room, just in case they get loud?" Chan can be heard asking on the way down the hallway.

Changbin doesn't have time to blush again as Felix crawls up his body and he is kissing the life out of him, hot hands wandering his body as Felix's first rut kicks in for real. 

It's three in the afternoon, and a knock on the door wakes both boys, a mumbled yeah allows the door to open and Chan sticks his head inside, "Guys? We have to go soon, we have the rut regulator patches and tablets out here for you Felix, once the show's over you have a few days off, both of you, Felix. No need to growl at me pup." He says laughing when Felix whines at the thought of going out, it's never pleasant when in rut but as Idols they can't afford to cancel when one of them hits their rut or heat, it would be half the year gone.

Changbin leaves the room first, a big smile in his face as he sits to eat some lunch before they leave, Felix is applying the patches. "Fuck, look at his neck, the noonas are gonna be pissed."  Changbin sticks his tongue out at Jeongin, "jealous." 

He spoons food in as fast as he can, he is hungry, more so than usual enough that he grabs another helping and is halfway through it before he remembers he will be dancing in a few hours, so he puts to spoon down and pushes the bowl away, only to have Jisung push it back, "eat it, you will need it for after the performance, trust me." A smirk forms on his face as he starts to eat the rest. 

Once they are all ready and Felix has eaten, they head to the venue, it's early but they, along with the other groups performing, have a busy afternoon ahead.

They are shown to their rooms, which are bustling with all their staff, the can see the rooms on either side are also full of their backing dancers, Changbin relaxes at that, no weird smells will filter through to them. He is pulled into the changing room by Felix as soon as they drop their bags, the Alpha starts to scent him again, making Changbin sag and purr. Even when Felix starts to nip over his scent gland, he doesn't react, but his body is thrumming. He rolls his head to the side even further before he quietly whines, "please, Lixie, don't stop." 

And before he can stop him, Felix, who is still in a rut haze, bites deeply, teeth piercing the skin, putting his claim on Changbin. Changbin only just manages to silence the lewd moan as his body is hit with waves of pleasure as he releases twice into his underwear untouched. Unable to control his Omegas reactions at this point he turns his head enough to be able to bite Felix in the same spot on his neck and the Alpha screams in pleasure, waves of pleasure pulling orgasm after orgasm out of the rut clouded Alpha. Changbin knows the others won't disturb them so he pushes Felix against the wall and drops to his knees as he pulls Felix's joggers down. 

Changbin decides there and then, he hates doors, well when people knock on them, he pulls away from Felix's mouth to shout a "what?" 

Felix is still moving inside him and makes him moan, as they hear Hyunjin say, "it's nearly time to get ready, and oh god please never moan like that where I can hear it, what if I was Innie?" 

When they walk out the room, everyone makes a point not to look at them, for which Changbin is grateful. As they are the only two not ready they drop into the makeup chairs, when the noona screeches in frustration, their manager and Chan rush over,  "how the fuck do I cover not one but two claim bites? Fresh ones at that, I should have been warned." The manager and the rest of the group turn to them in shock, “what the fuck guys? Couldn't you wait until tomorrow to give in to the hormones?” Chan says before the manager can speak, Changbin smiles widely.

 “No point bitching,Hyung, it's too late. He’s mine now.” Felix says as his eyes run over Changbins body, causing Chan to huff. The manager asks if the makeup noonas can cover them, but as they don't have the right makeup to use, they promise to try their best as they can’t go ask around for mate bite cover without causing the gossip they are trying to avoid. 

Their solo and joint performances go well, and they are chilling in the seats with other artists and groups, with cameras panning around now and then, Chan making sure everyone is separated so they don't get caught on camera. Changbin is sat between Minho and Seungmin, when a voice from behind them is heard.

“woah , look at that guys, someone seems to have tried to claim that dud in stray kids…don't think that would work though, what a sad sight.” followed by a lot of laughter. Changbin grabs hold of the others, “they aren't worth it, guys. The truth is gonna be told soon, let them think what they like eh?” he can feel their eyes on his neck and it pisses him off for a change so he excuses himself to go back to the dressing room to get away from the strangers voices.  

Changbin walks down the quiet hallway, nodding to the people he meets, he bows down and then flattens himself against the wall when BTS members rush past him, sweat dripping from their faces, a small smile from Taehyung makes him smile again as he pushes the door open to their room. He walks across the room and grabs a bottle of water before downing the whole thing, sweat is forming over his body even though he is wearing a thin shirt, he dabs at his forehead before a wave of pain hits him, and he drops to the floor. He panics, as he tries to figure it out, he shouldn't be due to have a heat yet it's too soon, Minho and Seungmin are due before him. He doesn't even have any patches on him to dull the scent that is starting to emanate from him. He crawls over to the pile of bags they brought with them, and starts to dig through them, hoping to find a patch or a tablet. He doesn't hear the door open behind him, until the lock clicks into place. He turns around to  find three guards standing in the room. He looks at them, and sighs, on a good day he could probably take them all, even though they are alphas he is stronger and more agile. But in the state he is in, he’ll be lucky to fight one maybe two, as he thinks this, another wave hits him and he groans.

“Looks like we have a freaky one here guys, a bit muscular for my tastes but then again he smells pretty good, better than that bitch we found last night.” A tall slender man says, the others grunt in agreement. Changbin can feel his Omega step up and growl inside him, he knows they won't get close enough to touch him now the wolf is pissed off. He pushes himself to his feet, a smile on his face and he lets the Omega speak… “Shut up and kneel before me, not a single word, don't move a muscle.” The shock on the three alphas' faces as they drop to the floor unwillingly makes Changbin laugh. He grabs a phone and calls the manager, as he is the only one who carries a phone at these events, then he walks past the men and unlocks the door only just making it back to the sofa before he is curled up in pain.

The group rushes in shortly after his next wave hits, they find three growling alphas knelt on the floor across from a whimpering Changbin. Felix pushes past everyone to get to him, “Baby, what is it? How are you in heat? Oh fuck this is my fault isnt it? I’m sorry baby.” and they are kissing, uncaring about the audience until a cough is heard and the manager says, “ why are these here?”  

Changbin explains what happened, all the while he has an iron grip on Felix, who starts to shout abuse and threats at the three guards. “Felix, calm down please. I’m fine I ordered them, they didn't have a chance or a clue.” The group gathers their things while the manager contacts someone to deal with the guards. “Can you release them from a distance by chance?” When he shrugs the manager asks if the group will wait next door until others arrive then slip out to the van. So that's what they do, all staying quiet and just as the others rush in the room, Changbin releases his hold on the men and the group quietly flees the scene.

As they climb in the van, the others seem to realise that Changbin is in heat. Felix starts to growl as he pulls Changbin to the back seats in the van, pushing him down on to one before he straddles his thighs, nipping at his neck wontanly, everyone else quickly pulls out their headphones, and their phones, though Minho pulls Jisung onto his lap first. Changbins vision narrows to his Alpha on his lap, his hands roaming his body, as they leave more marks over their necks. Felix pulls back just enough to say “Baby, we have to calm down a little, just till we get back to the dorms, ok?” Then he leans in close and whispers, “fuck me first tonight, fuck me hard into the mattress then I'll knot you so many times you wont be able to walk when your heat ends.” Changbin groans felix grinds down on him, “You’re a fucking tease. Just you wait.”

They get called into the company once his heat and Felixs rut ends, which is two days long. He rings his parents before they leave, he explains what happened and his dad explodes, leaving changbin apologising to his mum for leaving her with that problem. But they understand and are ok with whatever happens next so when Changbin walks into the meeting with Felix, he is calm. When Chan places the contract on the table, they all sit down and wait, it doesn't take long before one of the management speaks. And though there is a lot of countering and compromising they leave happy.

The company lets them have two weeks off when they release the press release announcing that stray kids have formed a pack, with Bang Chan as Pack Alpha. They release everyones status, and then at the end they add the news that Changbin is a Pure Alpha. And they also add that he has found his fated Alpha, naming Felix in the hope that it will keep him safe and secure. 

The day after the official statement release, Chan officially becomes the leader of the pack when he bites every member to seal the bond. He doesn't even react when he finds a mating bite on the necks of Minho and Jisung, he just clips them up the back of the head softly before the whole group piles into the pack nest, which Changbin has built with Seungmin and Jeongins help.
