In a magical kingdom named Antoyla, King James Potter reigned with his wife Queen Lilian. Their reign was prosperous, the the King and Queen had everything they wanted. In time, the Queen became pregnant and the kingdom was overjoyed to receive an heir.
Nine months later, Queen Lilian gave birth to a baby boy, whom she named Hadrian Sirius Potter, Prince of Antoyla. Everyone rejoiced at the birth of the healthy prince and a party was planned by the royal family to celebrate his birth. Invitations were sent out, and everyone was invited. There were the Dark Lord Voldemort, the Light Lord Albus Dumbledore, James' friends Lord Sirius Black and Remus Lupin, Lilian's friend Lord Severus Snape Prince, as well as Lord Lucius Malfoy, his wife Narcissa and their son, and as many other nobles within their kingdom. Because the King and Queen were generous rulers, even the comon people were allowed to be at the celebration.
Soon, the day of the celebration came, and everything was prepared. King James and Queen Lilian gathered in the throne-room to welcome their guests. Once everyone had arrived, the celebrations began. Baby Hadrian, nicknamed Harry, was the centre of attension that night. Soon after when dinner was over, it was time for the blessing of the Dark and Light lords. Everyone gathered around the centre of the room where little Harry was placed in a bassinette.
This is the most important blessing of a child's life, due to the fact that the Dark and Light Lord work together to balance magic, and are the rulers of magic. A new Dark Lord and Light Lord are chosen by Mother Magic after every century. Every crowning of a King, or a Prince, and even the birthing of an heir are blessed by the Lords of Magic. For babies, they would give a magical blessing to help enhance their magic and gifts, as well as telling the people of the kingdom that the child is worthy to be an heir. Once they are older and ready to be crowned, the Lords would be the ones to crown them.
Once everyone had gathered in a circle around Hadrian, the Light Lord, Albus Dumbledore stepped forward to give his blessing first. He placed a hand on the child's forehead and magic rose in a small wave around him and the child.
"I blindless you with the hope that you will grow up well-loved and may your light gifts flourish." Dumbledore said to the child.
The magic surged to its peak around them before settling down, leaving a mark on the child. A circle and triangle bisected by a line, the Deathly Hallows mark which was the symbol of the Light Lord. Everyone clapped and cheered for their new Prince.
Then the Dark Lord Voldemort stepped forward to give his blindlessing. Again, magic rose around him and the child.
"May your gifts flourish, may you grow powerful, and live to receive your enheratance as the Crowned Prince upon your maturity. May your mag inheritance also come to you." The Dark Lord said.
And again, the magic surged around them before settling down, also leaving a mark. This time, it was a snake protruding from a lightning bolt, the symbol of the Dark Lord. Then both the Light and Dark Lords stepped forward and raised their wands over the child.
Together, they intoned, "May you grow in magic and find your soulmate.“
Everyone in the gathering cheered again, happy for the fortune and blessings given to their new heir. Well, almost everyone was happy.
One man was seething in the corner of the thrown-room. Severus had never forgiven Lilian Potter NEE Evans for choosing James over him.
His family and the Evans family had been friends for a long time, so Severus Prince Snape had known Lilian as children. Over time as they grew up, the friendship turned into love on Severus' side, however Lily never returned his feelings. Eventually when James became King, he met Lily at his crowning and it was "love at first sight" for the couple. After their marriage, Severus became a bitter, jelous, and resentful man, obsessing over Lilian. When he had received the invitation, he started scheming of a way to bring sorrow to her, to "punish" her for "daring" to choose someone else over him. And now, now those plans would come into fruition.
Suddenly, Severus stepped forward towards the child and told them that he too, has a gift for the Prince.
"Oh how sweet of you, Sev." Queen Lilian said to him delilitedly.
Severus smirked as he raised his wand over the child.
