i am the boy who lives in a telescope. small, meaningless, and helplessly waiting for someone to look through the telescope and see me.
there’s a girl who i always look at from afar, who dances in a garden of flowers in the dead of the night.
no one sees her graceful moves, and the tears that drops from her eyes. no one knows her feelings exist.
somehow, we’re the same, the girl who dances in a garden of flowers and me, the boy who lives in a telescope. no one knows who we are, or what we do.
and while i am here, dusting in an attic, i long for her to climb up this house and find me, someone so similar yet so different to her, that we can look at each other and understand.
i wonder if she wants to see the stars. if she ever looks up in the sky while she dries her eyes, and think that she’d like to see them up close.
maybe then she’ll come find me, the boy who lives in a telescope, tucked inside an attic with no one who cares.
but until then i’ll sit here and silently whisper to her:
“come find me.”
