One of these days, Luz has to make herself look useful
At first everything looked easy, but once the college student moved into her dorm that looked so empty and possibly haunted, the chillness that came with it flew away, and though everything in the area was organized, stuff placed properly and the entire residence looking like an aesthetic picture, she doesn't have money to fend for her meals, she could try to get a part time job in a nearby cafe but that would also conflict her schedule
Right now, Luz is laying down her sofa and is wondering what to eat, maybe curry works -- no wait, she just remembered that she can't cook, what do you do when you're in this situation? nudging her head, she resorted to looking at Google for answers, primarily to Reddit, and found an interesting discovery of using spells to summon yourself some food, most of the comments say that this is in fact a working spell and is useful, the instructions are attached in a file, so she downloaded and opened the ".txt" file
But she didn't expect the file to be displaying a glyph, and the fact that she uses those to live her life in a magic filled world, giving it a try wouldn't do her harm, would it? Danger doesn't exist in the dictionary so she went ahead and drew the formation on the kitchen floor with a knife, in hopes of cooking chicken noodles (as it was said in the file "How to cook chicken noodles"), after carving the glyph on the floor, she did some minor tinkering that wouldn't affect the function but instead, would hasten it and make it more efficient.
Once she's done, she did the next thing that was listed in the file, placed a pot in the middle of the glyph, "said pot should be containing water, chicken breasts, noodles and lettuce", all of which is what Luz has in her dormatory, so she was saved, she placed everything and activated the spell, excited that she will get a free meal without cooking at all, and maybe do this to other types of meals but hey, we don't know what will happen
Smoke flew around the kitchen area, but Luz dispersed them all with a wind glyph and to her surprise, a being with wings appeared, the pot was gone, and so was the formation, what the fuck happened?!
They stared at each other, but Luz was the one drenched in disbelief, everything that she prepped for, only to be given back a living being, a sheer jolt of panic got to her and the thought of "kidnapping" the being even entered her brain, but the worst part.. is that she spoke
".. How did you summon me?" She sat in an angel position, looking at Luz with question
The latter crossed her arms, nervously chuckling then gave out an answer "I don't know, you were supposed to be my lunch"
"What?"
"You heard me right, My Lunch" Luz tilted her head, still crossing her arms, "I'm not eating you though, unless the internet wanted to give me a sex partner"
The winged being blushed hard like a tomato and turned around, covering herself using her wings while distancing herself from the other with a few steps, murmuring something between the lines of "Stupid.." and "I'm not here to be eaten."
The student laughed so hard tears bawled out of her, "Hey Hey! I have no intention to eat you in that manner okay? Really I just need food but.. I can't cook"
The winged being finally stopped covering herself, stood up and looked at Luz, sighing and then nodding, maybe accepting that she's not here for that, snapping her fingers spawns a delicious set of food on the table, Luz was amazed and hugged the winged angel (?), and surprisingly, she hugged her back, after a few minutes she let go
"Oh! I forgot to ask, what's your name?" Smiling through it, Luz couldn't contain her happiness
"I'm Amity Blight, a Rank 2 Angel" was the answer she got in return
Though Luz was never interested in these types of "rankings" and all, she needed to note them as beings other than humans are ranked, humans are the lowest but are also the most powerful as glyph manipulation exists, this type of knowledge had to be embedded to her brain to show respect to these said beings if she ever comes by them
But she didn't even consider treating Amity like a Goddess, rather, she treated her like she's actually her roommate, after they first met, both of them are sustaining each other, Luz getting free food while Amity having the free reign to travel the human section of the world, through this, Luz developed an emotional connection through the glorious Angel that appeared upon her doorstep (or more like her kitchen)
But to make this more hilarious, The glyph that Luz carved on the kitchen floor in hopes of getting something to eat wasn't even a food summoning spell, it's a sex contract spell out of all things, its only after 2 years did Luz discover this while she was studying about sets of glyphs being used as signatures to sign contracts, personally for Luz, just this thing makes her feel better inside, and just enhances.. her feelings.. yeah..
But for Amity, she's more confused, especially when she keeps imagining things that never crossed her mind, it makes her angry, plus some others, but at the same time she ignores it, but sometimes, she just wants her roommate to love her back
Who would've thought that in the end, they actually became a thing.
