Work Text:
"Wake up, sleepyhead." There’s a kiss on your forehead, nose, cheek, and mouth. "Breakfast is ready."
You cracked one eye open and saw ‘Samu leaning to give you a good morning kiss. You sat up and stretched. From the corner of your eye, you saw that it was 8 in the morning. It is almost time for you to get ready and leave for work.
He plops down close to you and hugs your waist. "You’re always so busy."
"You are, too." You kissed the top of his head as he snuggled closer to you. He melts into your side.
"But I make time for you." he stubbornly replied.
"I know," you said, as you patted his side."C’mon. Get off me."
He groaned and tightened his hold. "Don’t want to. You’re going to work again."
You rolled your eyes. "We can’t afford to slack off if we want to do things perfectly." your wedding cost, your future house, and the future of your future family rests on both your shoulders.
"Even on Saturdays?" He looks at you, brow furrowed.
"Even on Saturdays." you confirmed, nodding.
He groaned again but didn’t relinquish his hold. "This sucks."
"I know, ‘Samu. I’m sorry." when you heard the frustration in his tone.
"I hate your boss." You couldn’t help the laugh that escaped. "Always giving you extra work and overworking you."
"Just say you miss me and be done with it." you teased. "Get off, I need to get ready or else I’m going to be late."
He looks at you seriously. "I do miss you. A lot."
"Me, too."
"Hmm?"
"I miss me too." You laughed when he made a face. "Miss you, ‘Samu. Even though we see each other every day."
He didn’t reply, but instead just completely buried his face on your waist. It seems the past weeks have really taken their toll on him, not that you could blame him. You barely have time for each other between your work as a secretary and his booming business.
Getting your phone on the nightstand isn’t easy, especially when your clingy boyfriend just won’t let you go. You quickly dialed your boss's number, and you saw that ‘Samu raised his head to look at you.
You quickly told your boss the situation when she picked up the phone. You feel guilty for lying, but you know that you’re just a replaceable employee for the company. They don’t care about you, not really. Not like ‘Samu does.
"Thank you, Ma’am." You breathe a sigh of relief.
"No problem. Just make sure you get some rest. Thank you for working extra hours these days."
You ended the call and placed your phone back on the nightstand.
"Who was that?" Now his head is on your leg, you play with his hair and relish the feeling of seeing his smile.
"My boss." you grinned, poking his nose.
"What did you do?" He looks at you in amazement.
You shrug as if it’s not a big deal. Because it’s not.
"I called in sick, so now you get to have me for the whole day." You plop on the bed and turn to him, hugging him back. You smiled at him, and he swore that there was nothing more beautiful than seeing you in this light. "So what do you wanna do?"
"Anything." He wrapped a loose arm around you to pull you closer, and you hid your face in his neck. "Let’s just stay this way for a while and eat together. How that sounds?"
"It sounds perfect."
