Work Text:
A security mascot was what he was invented for. To entertain the children so they would never be bored. Playing the games to their liking until they were satisfied. Then they would move onto the the next thing and leave him to deal with the various tasks of the day.
I was only obeying.
Huggy had grown to love solitude. It gave him time to think and reflect. Thinking back to the time with the others toys when they were friends. Perhaps even family. They all suddenly grew distant over the years. The only one he managed to maintain a relationship with was Kissy Missy. His supposed counterpart. But even she began to pull away. Going further into the factory for longer periods of time until she suddenly disappeared. Never to be seen again.
I still have my thoughts.
And she made it very clear that she was not to be tracked down. The scars on Huggy’s torso and arms hidden beneath his fur proved his point. His own counterpart loathed his existence. Cat-Bee and Candy at least had their relationship. They still thought that everyone in the factory failed to take notice. It was just that nobody had the heart to rat them out to their creators. Finding a true friend and what Huggy dared to call love in their world was slim to impossible. He wouldn’t ruin it for anyone else.
I didn’t do anything wrong.
The mascot’s wounds itched, stung, seared, burned with the cold air mixing with the iron blood running down his torso. His arms and legs were fine thankfully. No broken bones, but still hurting enough that he couldn’t force himself to stand. He needed to though. His life kind of depended on it. The mascot used his gloved hands to grasp the wall, pulling himself in his shaky furred legs and feet, and whined in pain as the impact seeped in. His body urged him to just lay down. He had to keep on going.
It hurts.
His whined slipped out unnoticed as he walked through the unknown location clueless of his surroundings. Huggy only wanted to back somewhere he recognised, then he could get back to his own area-
I’ve been here before.
***
He hit everything on the way down during his fall. The pipes, vent entrances, each floor as he slipped over the edges unable to hang on for more then a second before tumbling down to each floor over and over again. Everything hurt. All he wanted was for him to claim his soul so that it all would be over with.
He even kept his plastic smile as he hit against his last stop. Some multicoloured pipes ensuring he wouldn’t fall any further than intended. Already the metal claws were extending the hand which wrapped around his ankle, ready to pull Huggy to his level to put him out of his misery. Looking into his emotionless eyes, the promise of peace and salvation tempted the mascot to lay limp and give up hope.
And Huggy Wuggy?
The mascot was ready to accept his death.
“There’s a price to pay for everything, human.”
A brief hissing sounded before he retreated back into the shadows. Watching the travelling pair hesitantly before slinking into the darkness and probably to some other business whilst assuming they wouldn’t find Huggy’s suffering form. He had been partially right. But he shouldn’t have left the mascot by himself.
Get up. Get up. Get up.
His body screamed in protest as he pulled himself into the ventilator. His fur and blood staining the walls and pipes. A genuine smile crossed his creatures. Poppy and her little human friend would see. And the message would eventually spread.
”Mommy is distracted with something else. We should be safe for now. She hates the cheaters. But she also cheated. We may be able to use this against her.”
The human passed by the pipes, visibly flinching when seeing his fur on the walls and pipes of this floor in particular. They’d just escaped from another deadly mascot. And here laid the possibility of another returning. Poppy’s face paled, probably realising her little plan failed. They had walked right past his falling self before and failed to rescue him. Huggy was very tempted to attack and finish the human once and for all. In his current state, his common sense won over his vengeful instincts. He would allow the human to be with their little doll.
”…Be very careful, human. We can deter death. This factory cares for us in its own twisted way.”
She merely blinked once out of shock. She seemed unsure how to process this.
”It seems that one the others is still alive. Despite the odds and chances, they remain alive and somewhat well.”
Huggy Wuggy had returned from the grave.
***
The Game Station. Mommy lived here. Her twisted, mentally unstable children also resided within these walls. He couldn’t remember their names, but knew some of his own kind lived in one of the games. His mini counterparts as some children referred them to. Huggy wouldn’t have known anyway.
I know of the caterpillar, bunny, the huggies, someone else. Who was it? Who were they?
Their reputations of being some of the most psychotic toys was legitimately proven. The Bunny toy in the musical station somehow got wind of rumours being spread of himself and his own mini counterparts. The next day based on the light through the windows, the bodies of each and every single one who even mentioned his name appeared in the hallways with their heads crushed. A sign he had used his signature weapons. The cymbals. What was meant to be a peaceful instrument had been turned into a deadly weapon by its user and their host.
Huggy heard from another toy that Mommy had taken the game station’s toys in as a sort of family. The spider lady was often seen tearing apart her victims if they failed her wishes. He would give the bunny and whoever he was with credit. They somehow stayed alive despite the odds. Apparently Mommy took a shine to them and kept them as her own little pack. Not often seen together, but were known to have high regards as they butchered toys bullying them, attempting to kill/assassinate, even coming near if they didn’t have permission.
Every toy learned a lesson from these escapades.
You did not mess with the Game Station residents.
Though I’ve never witnessed of it.
He had never been allowed out of his designated area. Each time he even attempted to leave, the lashes and months mental torture would begin again. His little ones slowly faded from his memory. The colours of their furs disappeared, their names, personalities. His creators had taken everything away from him.
And he had been nothing but loyal in return.
It should be this way-…Agggh!…
Something leapt out of the darkness at the mascot, who only managed to instinctively, albeit weakly shove them off and stand once more shaky legs. Glowering down at the who dared try to mess with a mascot. He was both surprised and disappointed. It was one of his own. They circled the mascot in frustration, unable to detect whether he was friend or foe. The way he fought back was to defend himself.
They were the ones attacking him.
I’m only defending myself.
His little ones were crawling on all fours. Like they were all wild animals. They should’ve been on two legs like Huggy. It was as if they had been reverted to their animalistic instincts that had taken over during the massacre. They hesitated, a whimper leaving their mouth as they observed their supposed master injured vulnerable. Someone else was going to have to give the orders in this occasion.
They’re travelling with others.
Huggy recognised the shapes in the shadows as more mini huggies in this so-called pack. Banding together to have greater chances of finding food in their hunts. Though Huggy had no knowledge of the knew hierarchy. After all, he remained in his own isolated area. He hadn’t been able to communicate with anyone to hear how the factory changed from when he had last encountered any of the toys.
Which was nearly a decade ago.
All of the mini huggies in the pack climbed down the walls, jumping from the pipes, and one even had their arms around the one who attacked him. Sniffing and crooning once they felt their pack-mate to be safe. Then they focused their attention on Huggy Wuggy. The whole pack’s eyes were filled with nothing but hunger and bloodlust. They didn’t even care that he represented their toy-line.
This should be fun.
Huggy was a prideful creature, but even he held a limit to how much he could handle himself in a fight. He would need to call for help. If he didn’t, then he would join the others poor souls as a part of him.
I’m not here to hurt you-
I don’t care.
A voice whispered behind him. He had a second before they pinned him from behind. Hands steadying his shoulders as an even bigger version, an alpha to what he guessed held the look of disdain and desperation. Huggy looked at his glove, furred face playing as it began to slowly shrink into the side of his original doll self. It happened when the toy’s body wasn’t able to handle anymore injuries. The mini Huggy leaned down, looked him in the eyes, and gave Huggy a toothy smile.
We’re so hungry.
That seemed to trigger something within the other pack mates. Their eyes glazed over, becoming pitch black with white pricks as they slowly crawled forward. A single goal in mind to eat the very mascot who was meant to set an example. Huggy knew he’d failed to look after his little ones. Now he had to hope that others would be willing to rescue him.
He sent one message before beginning to painfully fight off his own kind.
Help me.
***
Something called the one sleeping within their private room. An old instinct awakening against their command opened their eyes and they glazed over, pupils fading as the order popped itself into their mind. A desperate call for their help replacing any other thoughts trying to resist.
Help him. Help him. Help him. Master needs help. Go help. Help him. Go help.
The rest of their pack mates were sleeping peacefully in their self-made nest they made from tools stolen or borrowed from the other toys. The command burrowed itself and they were nudging the arms of the ones holding them as if they were nuisances. The warmth of their hold did nothing to deter their determination to exit the facility. As they finalised their decision, something pulled them back down into their arms and pulled them back toward the source. Huffing in annoyance, the toy turned to face their now awake pack-mate.
What’s wrong, Red?
Green was the alpha within their clan. They all mutually agreed that he was the best to lead them all. The red furred mini Huggy who only wanted to obey the orders struggled in their grip, growling instead of responding in their thoughts like they usually would. Green rose a metaphorical brow in question. A bit of worry was present, but he tried his best not to show the emotion. He was meant to be strong.
You’re only usually like this after a nightmare.
He wasn’t wrong. Red had experienced a nightmare. Seeing through the eyes of a mascot their master as he was torn to shreds by one of the wild packs.
I need to go.
He was once again pulled down by the green mini Huggy. Another pair of hands joined, then another. Three pairs then forced then the red one to stop what they were doing and lay back down with them. The sleepiness started to kick back in as Blue and Yellow stared at them with concern.
What is up with you?
Let me go.
No, we need to rest. Mommy’s still mad about the human-
I DON’T CARE!
Red squirmed in their grip. Without warning, they lashed out, their hands momentarily turning into closed and slashing the cheek of the green mini Huggy. As they were distracted, the red one shot out of their grasps, running and opening the nearest vent. They crawled in, closed the entrance, and proceeded to head to whatever the order needed them to assist. The green mini Huggy raised a hand to their cheek, their gloves fingers parting as blood dribbled into their palm.
The fact that Red was willing to hurt him stung more than the physical pain.
Green?
Only the three of his true pack-mates had permission to call him by his name. His other sibling scattered the moment Mommy attacked them. Three of them were captured and killed. They remained hidden behind the scenes ever since the incident of their failure to kill the human. He looked at Blue and Yellow, his eyes narrowing as he crawled on all fours to the entrance of their game. The other two followed with only the slightest show of hesitance.
We need to find Mommy.
***
Locating the Spider Lady was easier than the mini huggies initially expected. Green took the lead as per usual with the two following his trail. They trusted the leader to locate the female mascot based on her tendencies and routines. Green had been right about one thing.
“Come here, little ones. Mommy will not harm you.”
Mommy always tended to forgive. But not forget. She would surely teach them a lesson. She just had trouble locating the main four of the game. Little did she know that there of them would come right to her. Mommy’s green eyes shined in the dimmed room. The tension slowly grew as the alpha mini Huggy nervously whimpered upon seeing the mascot who tried harming them. She had that warm, fake smile as she greeted the three.
”Hello, Green bean! It’s been so long since I’ve seen you! You hid from Mommy!”
I’m sorry.
He wouldn’t admit that he was jealous of the toy laying in Mommy’s lap. Bunzo Bunny laid between her plastic legs snoozing peacefully, his hat and cymbals thrown on the other side of the room. The mark on his neck glowed light, indicating Mommy’s control over her own. And soon enough, she would have it over the mini huggies. Green knew he was only delaying the inevitable. Her pink hands cradled through his fur, her bangle jingling softly as the movements fell into a fascinating rhythm that helped calm the atmosphere.
Mommy narrowed her eyes.
”Isn’t there meant to be four of you?”
The green mini Huggy crawled to her side, Mommy lifting one of her hands of Bunzo to pull them to her side. The green mini Huggy instantly calmed, their eyes dropping as they obeyed the silent order to tell her what was going on.
Red went rogue. Said they have to save master. But wasn’t master collected by him? He usually makes us part of him for whatever reason.
Mommy’s hands froze. Her eyes widened as the memories of being spared by the cheater came flooding back. Mommy cheated in the games by allowing her children to kill the human if need be. But Poppy’s little companion smashed the window and ran for their life along with Poppy’s. She was damaged and still retained the scars on her arm which served as a reminder of what would have happened if she fell victim to the grinder. The human had chosen to save Mommy instead of mercilessly killing her. In return, she owed them the code and Poppy’s freedom. Bound by her code and her stupid deal, she did as they said and complied with whatever they wished.
”Trust me, Little Wuggy. I know what you mean. If he rushed due to his master’s orders, then it means Huggy survived his fall. I’m not sure how to feel about that. We’ve never interacted-”
Mommy slowly turned head to the alpha. A knowing look of horror dawned on her face as realisation of being lost in their halls meant.
”-He’s being targeted by the wild packs.”
She picked up Bunzo by the scruff of his neck, dropped him on the ground to wake him up, and her hands and feet attached themselves to the hardened ceiling as her eyes shifted to the silver and she looked at Bunzo whilst preparing the plan.
”Get Daisy and PJ. They’ll love our new guests! We LIKE guests! Don’t we, children?”
Bunzo couldn’t help but grin. He turned his gaze to the mini huggies, strapping on his cymbals and putting in his hat. He saluted Mommy, a more excited look appearing him as he smiled at the mini huggies. His paw cradled the face the blue one as they were nose to nose. He did the same to the yellow one. Green politely declined the affection. He only reserved it for his pack.
”You’ve just made our day more fun!”
Mommy disappeared between some cracks in the walls. Bunzo opened the door and started to happily make his way to Statues and a certain garden they never ventured too. The mini huggies looked at each other and nodded in pure understanding.
Good luck everyone.
It was time to find Red and possibly save a mascot.
***
The only goal in their mind was to find whoever called to them. As they opened the exit of the vent, it fell it the floor which accidentally announced their presence. If they were in control, then Red would have turned back and head right toward his siblings. But since the command unconsciously chained his will and forced his body forwards, he couldn’t find it in himself to care for the dangers ahead.
Help him. Help master. Help him. Help master.
Where is master?
…Here, little one.
Red squinted his eyes, growling in frustration as he witnessed the mascot slowly regressing into the doll phase. It was when the body of the doll listened the mind of not wanting to be hurt anymore. In the case of a mascot, it instantly listened to the host and the body of Huggy began to shrink with his eyes darting to each side as the wild packers tried tearing him apart. For some reason, it bothered Red. He never usually did anything without his Alpha’s permission…
Sorry, Green.
Don’t even think about it-
He snarled as he faced what the others called wild packers. The mini huggies that had lost themselves to their hosts and the darkness which consumed their thoughts and emotions. Controlling them against their will and forcing them to fight against their own kind. Red really didn’t want this conflict to happen. The others were known as complete psychopaths, especially Green. He was capable of guilt. The only mini Huggy of his pack to feel this wretched emotion and he felt it to be more of a curse than a blessing.
I hate these human emotions.
As he looked into the eyes of his master, Red knew that he had to overcome this…overwhelming sensation, and face his own kind who were fixated on eating the one and only Huggy Wuggy. He was now defenceless to fight back against the wild packers. And Red would have to assist.
Dang it.
He wondered where the human may have been. They might have been useful in combat. Red would never know. His newest scars of Mommy’s punishment reminded him of why she needed to be obeyed. Breaking her rules meant literal death. They were all lucky that she had taken a liking to them.
If I die, then Yellow has permission to eat my remains. He’s always bloody hungry.
No, I’m not!-
Red pounced from a pile of boxes onto the main wild packer daring to take a bite from Huggy’s arm. They growled in return, uselessly trying to shove off the crimson mini Huggy before they placed them in a chokehold, kicking back another wolf packer attempting to attack from behind. Hissing at the other mini Huggy, Red threw the now unconscious enemy to the ground, taking advantage of the other pack’s concern to attack a few other before they could even lay a single hand on the injured mascot. Red stood protectively in front of Huggy’s shrinking form. His furred arms folded, an emotionless expression on his face, watching the wild packer’s every move.
Why are you saving me?
Red gave an answer Huggy wasn’t sure how to respond too. He turned his head, giving him the typical Huggy toy-line smile.
You called, master. We have to obey.
And the guilt of basically controlling his little one here hit him in spades. But Huggy couldn’t help that his instincts had acted out of his control. They called to the nearest ally they sensed and dragged them here by their will. Locking away the consciousness of the soul and allowing the body to only listen to them. He felt Red not wanting to be here. That he would rather leave Huggy to his death than spend a second in his presence.
Huggy’s remaining hand gently slid down Red’s arm, distracting the mini Huggy for a second from the unexpected show of affection. Unfortunately, Red taking his eyes off all the wild packers left him in a position to be attacked. The alpha of the pack punched, a rather large dark copper mini Huggy pinned Red to, lifting him by his shoulders and keeping him between it and the surface behind them. Red whimpered, clawing at their arms as they tried not letting their thoughts call out to Green.
Stop. Stop. Please. I don’t want to become one of you, I belong to a different pack-
The copper mini Huggy shushed the crimson. Putting his hand in their cheek, he slowly scratched their fur which caused them to flinch. Letting him know that he had hurt them. That he had found a weakness he could use to exploit them.
You shouldn’t have flinched.
That’s when Red was forced to look into their eyes, and see the terrible that things that had happened. The experiments, the punishments, the implantation, the fusion of the toys and the humans.
They did this to us.
It all came flashing back. And Red’s host relented against the pressure of these newfound negative experiences. Huggy watched with horror as Red’s eyes slowly faded to the pitch black often associated with the corruption. He had lost another counterpart-
Don’t. Even. Think. About. It.
A vine appeared from nowhere, wrapping itself around the mini Huggy’s neck before snapping its neck. It collapsed to the ground face first never to move again. One of Mommy’s favourite children cheered as they swung down from the ceiling, puppet strings attached to their backs which then wrapped around a few others wild packers. Red then found himself in the arms of another mini Huggy as Yellow of all creatures tackled the alpha to the ground, wresting in a struggle since they weren’t as big and strong as them. Red was about to struggle when a familiar croon stopped them in their tracks.
Green?
I’m here now. You’re safe.
Green prayed that Red’s eyes would return to normal. Witnessing the memories of another experiment would’ve done something bad to their psyche. A guttural growl escaped his throat as he handed over the smaller mini Huggy to Blue. The other nodding at the silent order to keep him safe. He then faced the shadows, a creature with silver eyes waiting for the signal. She surprisingly stayed patient throughout the ordeal. Waiting on the call of the mini Huggy. When they harmed his pack-mate, it became personal.
You can come out now. The alpha is mine.
Everyone watched as an pink plastic long arm stretched from the shadow. Her hand wrapped around the chest of the now tiny Huggy doll. The former body of the mascot who now regressed into a tiny shell of his former self. All of the mini huggies felt a touch of grief as Mommy’s eyes turned green, staring down affectionately at the little mascot in her arms. She looked at the alpha mini Huggy, then scuttled into the darkness with a simple goal in mind. She wouldn’t be the one to heal the mascot. Only another counterpart would get along with the other. Returning Huggy to his other half seemed the right option. She gazed back at Bunzo, playfully ruffling the fur on his head before whispered into his ears the words they all anticipated to be heard.
“ Play as much as you like.”
That was the signal. Daisy had one message for the wild packers. Green noticed PJ Pug-A-Pillar arriving on the scent, briefly butting Daisy’s leafy hands in a playful manner before his body squeezed a wild packer to death. Having a long torso had some advantages. His attention was turned to the rest of the group with Bunzo having the time of his life when his cymbals were put to actual use.
The reputation of the Game Station toys’ ruthlessness was about to be proven.
You shouldn’t have entered our domain.
***
Mommy hummed Poppy’s lullaby as she slinked through the walls with the miniature Huggy doll in her grip. The regressed form of Huggy Wuggy made her laugh a little. She hadn’t seen a little doll of her own kind. She wondered how she would look if she were to be defeated on day. Alas, her curiosity was only nearly answered when the humans lowered the switch and the meat grinder began. She had felt the urge to tear that stupid the grabpack apart before laying her hands on such a filthy creature.
Vermin.
The human and Poppy deserved nothing less then death. She purred at the thought of him getting his hands on them. A snicker escaped her throat before she could stop it. She cradled the little doll of Huggy, lowering her hands and stretching them to reach the floor. She knew her travel routes by now. After all, Kissy decided to venture onto Mommy’s territory. Bunzo had spotted her wandering the halls and immediately told the spider mascot. She rewarded him with allowing the bunny to travel outside her domain for a little while.
He’s such a good child.
The spider lady watched in the shadows as another figure turned tail through the halls. Running for their life and hissing at whoever was chasing them. Mommy smiled as a mini Kissy of all things fought off others of her own kind probably trying kill her. With a bit of effort, she put some distance between and stopped upon seeing the random tiny Huggy doll in the middle of the hallway. The little mini Kissy looked left, right, then shrugged as she picked up the seemingly random object. Mommy peeked into her mind as she sensed an incoming conversation. The Mini Kissy was communicating with the mascot of their toy-line.
Mistress, I found a little Huggy doll.
How little?
Tiny, though their eyes are bright and aware. Almost as if they’re alive-
…Bring him here. Now.
The mini Kissy’s eyes glazed over, and she began walking as if she were a zombie. Mommy watched in amusement as Kissy’s influence seemed to cause to her to stumble and crash everywhere. It wasn’t the best ride for Huggy, but it was better than Mommy having to fight for her life against Kissy Missy and her underlings. She hadn’t been the nicest during the last decade. And now the mascot hated her enough to try and attack the spider on sight every time she passed her in the corridors. She would rather not risk another confrontation.
She needed to get back to her children anyway.
Thank you, Mommy.
Mommy’s head snapped around at the source of the sound. Huggy actually sent a direct message to her and thanked her for her service. Not even her children expressed their gratitude that often.
You’re welcome, child.

If there was anything to say about Kissy, then it would surely be that she cared for those who deserved no redemption. The monster who killed her brother sat on the opposite side of the room with the little Poppy doll she met a few decades before their entrapment in this factory. Since she didn’t have the ability to talk, she had to bare it and grin. Literally, she couldn’t make any other expression.
Be patient. And smile.
She had only just grown used to this body.
Her handlers creators never let out of sight. And especially out of mind. She had to be around Huggy 24/7 if she wanted even the slightest bit of clarity. He was the only thing she left. Poppy sat on the shoulder of her human pet looking around the room with their usual emotionless stare. Their eyes held nothing. Just pure emptiness. As if they were nothing but a vessel for Poppy to use for whatever she had planned for them. Kissy actually felt sorry for them. The human knew nothing of Poppy’s real power. If they did, then they would surely run. Kissy didn’t feel like being generous. Poppy always liked surprises.
”Thank you for us, Kissy. I didn’t know that Baby held such a grudge-”
She was interrupted as a mini version of bursted through the door, not even caring when the entire thing caved in. Kissy acted as if it were normal. She let a sound for the first time around Poppy and the ex-employee, crooning as she picked up her mini counterpart and holding them close in her arms. She momentarily lost herself to her mascot instincts and she found herself sitting in the corner with the mini Kissy in her lap. A darker, pinkish colour to which she had taken a liking. She gently grabbed the Huggy doll out of her hands, cradling him close as her pupils faded, leaving Kissy with only the blackness and the soulless stare of the hollowed. She hadn’t been confused. She had been pulled into her mind to determine what was going with the older mascot.
”Kissy, is something wrong?”
Poppy was concerned for Kissy. However, the Ex-employee felt uneasy as to how real those eyes seemed to be. And they flinched as they made their next move.
The mascot’s eyes flickered to them.

”So, how did we do, Mama?”
Mommy gave permission for the game station toys to reside in her private room for the night. Usually she’d stay in the upper levels, but she was given a ground floor room on the occasion of whatever allowed to stick and cling to the walls broke and she would be forced to wander just like any other toy. Her room was quite big, even for a creature such as herself.
“You did well, little ones. Mommy’s so proud! You saved Huggy without needing my assistance! You tore them apart and feasted on them. One. By. One.”
Bunzo snickered as he then whined at the mini Huggy trying to groom him. The Bunny toy laid in Mommy’s lap once again as she seemed to love having him close. His smaller size and fluffy stature pretty much certified as a thing she needed to hold. She still gave him plenty of space. It wasn’t wise for him to grow completely attached. Everyone who he had known before either disappeared or met fates worse than death.
Well, they deserved it! Trying to take what belonged to us.
Daisy couldn’t speak due to complexities with their voice box. As a rejected experiment, they had to adjust to their environment and the things around them changing. From the friends they made to the ones who would eventually stick around. They were next to PJ, his mouth hanging ajar as he panted just like a real dog from the right. The blood in his teeth and the taste of flesh never failed to satisfy him. He was closer to Daisy than to any other toy. The flower toy raised their leafy hand and wrapped it around PJ’s long waist before pulling him over to them.
Good work, Little Caterpillar.
Pj’s unseen tail wagged slightly at the praise. The caterpillar toy laid his head on Daisy’s stemmed back, the others flinching as they awaited to see his they’d react. Daisy didn’t do anything. Simply letting PJ do whatever he wanted. There was a poster with them hugging somewhere. It was based on a gesture Daisy did when they wrapped their arms around PJ one time when they were trapped in their cells.
”We showed ‘em big time! Red’s ours! Ain’t he, Mommy?”
Mommy hummed as her hand carded through Red’s fur. They were asleep with the other mini Huggies on the other side of the bed. They preferred their own level of isolation.
”Yes, little Bunny. He’s ours. You are all mine to keep. No one else’s but mine to cherish alone.”
”Even over the children?”
The humans was what Bunzo meant to say. Mommy often showed a fondness for the little things. Picking them over the other had become a common thing for Mommy to do when she craved some kind of normality. And they always forgave her. She acted as their supporting parent. The toys of the game stations were psychopathic at best, but they were capable of emotions like any toy. Mommy chuckled, tilting Bunzo’s head to face upward to look her directly in the eye.
”Yes, even over the ones who never said goodbye to their Mother. Who left Mommy all alone.”
Mommy tightened her grip on Bunzo, the bunny toy yelping as she loosened her hands. He curled even closer in attempt to alleviate some of the pain they felt from the isolation. Relying on each other and having no one else around took its toll. They couldn’t afford to trust anyone. Any outside toys they allowed in the Game Station brought a risk to hurt the others. It was why Mommy banned random visits. They needed to let her know beforehand if anyone came to visit. Even for a minute. She was a parent to the other toys, but only the ones she considered her own.
My actions haven’t been the most rewarding.
And even interacting with Huggy, she found that he wasn’t half bad. Although certainly weak, he survived a deadly fall and it was more than enough to impress the spider mascot. Especially since her supposed real husband and child went never to be seen again. If anything, she prayed that Huggy would someday get his revenge.
And that little human will suffer for what they have put us through.
Mommy made a mistake when harming her little ones. They forgave her in the end. Although they certainly wouldn’t forget. She wasn’t planning on them too. It taught them a lesson of who to trust and when to defend themselves. Bunzo was now asleep as well as most of the toys in the room. With the exception of Daisy and Green watching over his pack. She could live with the knowledge that she wasn’t perfect unlike some experiments.
A few of the toys may not be out to get us despite our reputation.
And maybe not all of the toys were that bad.
