    There’s a phenomenon at sea that occurs right before the weather turns bad where the air goes eerily still. The waves die down, everything goes quiet, and it seems like the world is suspended in time. It’s the calm before the storm — or so the sailors say — and it’s something Iwaizumi has experienced many times.

    As he blows the candles out and downs the rest of his drink, he finds himself hoping that whatever storm is coming is, at the very least, an interesting one.

    Or: a tour guide and a pirate captain walk into a bar surprise hostage situation?
