Chapter Text
Running her hands randomly through her hair, Robin groaned in confused frustration. She had been talking to herself for the past 3 hours, even having a few debates every now and then. She threw herself back onto her bed, mind spinning. Although it helped her figure out her thoughts, and feelings on occasion, it also sometimes threw her brain into chaos. This was one of those times. She had just been talking about the rumors that had been spreading around band and trying to figure out which ones could be true. Then she had realized what she was doing. Looking over at her clock, Robin sat up instantly.
"Shit!"
Quickly getting ready and grabbing her bike, Robin headed to the mall. She and Steve had planned to watch Back to the Future, but she had forgot about that during her rambling session. Locking up her bike, she rushed into the theater.
"It happened again, didn't it?" Steve turned around to look at Robin as she sat down. She nodded slowly. Steve smiled at Robin in understanding. "Don't sweat it. Now sit down! The movie is about to start." Steve always made Robin feel better, no matter what she was anxiously mentally pacing around about. Usually, she needed comfort after the times when she would talk to herself for hours on end. She often told herself that she was going insane, but Steve disagreed. And although she wouldn't admit it, it really helped. Slightly shaking her head, Robin turned her attention back to the movie.

As Robin and Steve were walking out of the mall, Steve paused. Robin followed suit. "Need a ride?" He gestured toward his car. "Aww, does Stevie actually care about me?" Robin teased him. She knew he didn't like the nickname—or Robin saying that he didn't care about her. "Robin," Steve deadpanned. He looked her in the eye, a grin threatening to show on his face. "First, don't call me 'Stevie.' Second, yes, Robin, I care about you. Now, do you need a ride or not?"
Robin thought about it for a bit, tapping her chin to add effect. "Buckley, if you don't answer, I'm driving off without you," Steve joked. Moving over to pat him on the shoulder, Robin laughed. "See ya tomorrow. Goodnight, Stevie Wonder!" She could hear Steve groan as she walked to her bike.

There was supposed to be a new kid in her class this semester. Not "new" as in "Hi, I just moved here" new, but "new" as in "I swapped classes" new. Robin had her head on her desk when the student walked in.
"Everyone, I want to welcome Nancy Wheeler to the class."
