Chapter 1: Late Nights (Hiromu&Yoko)
Chapter Text
It was 11 PM when Hiromu heard someone on the computer. The building was dark, so he couldn't tell who it was.
Hiromu ran up behind the person and grabbed them.
"Intruder-"
"Chicken!" Hiromu didn't completely freeze, but his movement stiffened. "Stupid, it's me..." Yoko said, light from the computer illuminating her face. "What were you doing?"
"I...thought...there...was..."
"Whatever. I was studying," Yoko said, closing whatever she had been doing before Hiromu could see.
"What...were you...studying?" Hiromu asked, still slow from his weakpoint being activated.
"...noth- none of your business."
"Nothing?"
"I said none of your business!" Yoko snapped, leaving the room.
Hiromu stayed in the room and decided to check the browser history to see what Yoko had been researching.
He didn't find anything related to school, but he did find a ton of pages related to PreCure, which he didn't know Yoko was into.
Once his weakpoint wore off, Hiromu decided to just go to bed. He could tease Yoko about this instance some other time.
Chapter 2: Reunion (JinDonbros&Taro)
Chapter Text
Jin hadn't met with Taro since he was a kid. He knew Taro was Don Momotaro (of course) and that he worked for a delivery company, but he never saw Taro in person. He hadn't expected to see him ever again.
But now that Taro was in front of him, Jin couldn't believe it was real.
"Hello," he said quietly.
"Hi. So like, what now?" Taro asked, turning to his teammates who were behind him.
"Did you only come here because your companions told you to?" Jin asked, bracing himself for the truth.
"Yes."
Well, at least he had been expecting it...
"Well, I'm glad you came to see me again."
That was the truth.
Chapter 3: Calling each other family (JinFlashman&Everyone)
Chapter Text
Jin was the oldest of the Flashmen by just a few years, but those few years mattered a lot when he was the oldest human they knew.
Sara was the first one to call Jin her dad. Which she was corrected on, since Jin was also a small child. And though she was probably too young to remember that, Jin definitely remembered that years later.
Mostly, everyone considered him their older brother. Which was definitely better than being their dad, but Jin never reciprocated that comment. He always reminded the others that they weren’t siblings, and that he didn’t view them as his own siblings.
Secretly, ever since that first time Sara had called him dad, Jin couldn’t help but think of her and the other Flashmen as his children.
Chapter 4: Parent of the friend group (Sayo&Juuru)
Chapter Text
When the others were injured in battle, Sayo always took care of them since she had experience in the medical field and usually the injuries weren't too bad.
One day after battle, Juuru was hurt and had to go to the CARAT medical bay. After patching him up, Sayo got up to leave.
"You should rest," she said.
"Wait," Juuru said. "Hug?" he asked, reaching an arm out.
Sayo gave Juuru a hug and tucked Juuru into the bed before leaving.
Chapter 5: Sharing food/clothes (Jin&Bun)
Chapter Text
Jin was the oldest of the Flashmen, and he always wanted to make sure the others were okay. The planets in the Flash system were harsh, and though they were young and able to adapt to the new planet, he worried about them. He always kept snacks to give to the others later, to make sure they had enough to eat.
Years later on Earth, Jin was fascinated by how much food there was avaliable on the planet. It cost money, though, and none of the Flashmen had jobs or money So how would he-
"Here," Bun handed him a rice ball.
"Where did you get this?"
"That person gave it to me as a free sample. Want it?"
Jin took the onigiri, surprised at the fact that it was free.
Chapter 6: Rivals to family (Stacey&Zox)
Chapter Text
Stacey didn't like Zox. Or any of the pirates, but especially not Zox.
But one day after Zox and Stacey had fought, and both participants refused to admit who lost, the pirate headed back to his ship. Stacey was injured in the fight, and though he was sure he would be fine in the long run, he wasn't eager to go back to the Tojitendo base.
Zox left, but came back a moment later.
"Uh, this is kinda awkward...my sister Flint wants to make sure you're okay."
"Oh. Uh...does she want me to come up to your ship...?"
"Yeah, if you can."
"Sure. It's not like the Tojitendo will miss me," Stacey sighed.
He got up and let Zox take him onto the pirate's ship. At least Flint would make sure he was okay for a bit.
Chapter 7: “I need a hug” (Sayo&Muryou)
Chapter Text
Sayo was always the last to leave the CARAT base at the end of the day. She had a long day, but she still wanted to make sure everyone else was okay before she went home.
At the end of the day, Sayo was very tired. From work, and fighting bad guys, and never really having time to rest until everyone else was gone…
“Are you on your way home now?” Mr. H asked as Sayo got up to leave.
“Yeah…uh, before I go, I need a hug,” Sayo said. She never really admitted that- sometimes the others did when they had a hard day, but she didn’t.
“Of course,” Mr. H said, giving Sayo a hug for a moment.
Sayo smiled on her way home.
Chapter 8: “They’re practically my sibling” (Sonoi&Sononi&Sonoza)
Summary:
Set during episode 27 of Donbrothers, because it just worked out like that. Direct quote isn’t used, but it’s the same sentiment.
Chapter Text
Sonoi had an odd feeling in his stomach as he went to the duel. The Noto couldn’t get sick. But he still felt…strange knowing what he was planning.
The main cause seemed to be in the back of his mind, thinking about how Sononi and Sonoza would be without him. He had always been there for them. Sonoi knew they were strong enough to go on without him, physically and probably mentally, but he had known them forever. They were practically his little siblings.
He reassured himself that his siblings would be okay as he waited for Don Momotaro to show up.
Chapter 9: “You’re hurt?” (Yoko&Ryuji)
Chapter Text
Yoko was thankful that Ryuji protected her in battle. She was strong, but her weakpoint had come into effect and she wasn’t able to move in time as Escape attacked.
Yoko had some chocolate to get her energy up, and everyone went back to the base. Ryuji seemed fine, but asked Gorisaki to make sure his body wasn’t too warm.
That evening, Yoko was on her way to get snacks when she heard someone stumbling through another room. Upon going to see who it was, she realized it was Ryuji, carefully holding onto walls and the edges of surfaces to stay upright.
“You’re hurt?” Yoko realized, running to hold him. “Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I used my ice packs to cool down earlier, I’m fine.”
“But you’re struggling to stand.”
“…okay, you’re right,” Ryuji sighed. “I’m just going back to my room.”
“I’ll walk with you.”
Chapter 10: Moved in next door (Stacey&Yatsude)
Chapter Text
Stacey was nervous about moving. He was a young adult living on his own, and he didn't know anyone in the area.
There was a candy store nextdoor, which had secretly influenced his decision to move here, as he had met the owner when he was in the area after an open house.
Yatsude was a nice lady who ran the candy store. She somehow reminded Stacey of his mother, though he would never admit that.
She had a grandson named Kaito who was about Stacey's age. Kaito was...loud, but Stacey would put up with him if it meant he could live next to Yatsude.
It was definitely worth it.
Chapter 11: Hiding under the bed (Bun&Sara&Lou)
Chapter Text
The three of them were adults, twenty years old. They had experienced a lot of things on planets in the Flash system.
But they had never experienced a thunderstorm.
So that was how the three of them ended up hiding under the bed, huddled next to each other.
"It's too loud!" Lou complained as thunder crashed and the heavy rain continued.
"Sara, go get Jin! Maybe he can do something?"
"Why do I have to go? Bun, you go!"
"I don't wanna!"
They stayed under the bed all night, eventually falling asleep.
Chapter 12: Joining a new team (Juuru&Everyone)
Chapter Text
Juuru was nervous about joining a team, especially with celebrities. Especially when he was supposed to be the leader! Why was he chosen to be leader? He couldn't boss people around!
But now that he was apparently the leader, he would have to do his best.
Chapter 13: Teaching a new skill (Juuru&Haruka)
Chapter Text
Haruka was struggling with art again. It was annoying, wanting to create something, but not having any ideas. And none of the ideas she came up with were any good.
She messaged an artist friend to vent, and he replied pretty quickly.
Haruka sat back, waiting for the detailed explanation that would come. Hopefully she would learn how to draw based on Juuru's messages and examples.
Chapter 14: Moving on after a bad event (Ryuji&Yoko)
Chapter Text
Upon moving into the Energy Management Center, Ryuji couldn't help but feel a little weird knowing that he lived here. He had nowhere else to go. Hiromu was lucky, his older sister had insisted on taking care of him. Ryuji and Yoko didn't have that.
But they had each other, and as the small child held onto Ryuji as they were shown around the facility, the teen knew he would have to take care of her.
"This is your room," the adults said to Yoko, who didn't want to leave Ryuji yet. "You can come in, it's okay..."
Ryuji entered the room with Yoko, and even though he wasn't really supposed to be there, he stayed next to her bed until she fell asleep.
He tried not to think about what would happen the next day when Yoko inevitably wanted to see her parents again.
Chapter 15: "It's good to have everyone home," (Goshikida Family & Stacey, Post-Canon)
Chapter Text
Stacey came to visit Yatsude at the end of a long day and was surprised to see not only Kaito's parents, but Kaito himself! The traveller had come home for a brief time to visit his family and have dinner, and Stacey happened to come by that day as well.
"Oh, it's good to have everyone home," Yatsude said as Stacey showed up.
"Yeah," Stacey agreed. He wasn't a family member, but he enjoyed Yacchan's dinners.
"Now that Stacey's here, we can eat!" Kaito said. Stacey stared at him for a moment.
"You all...waited for me?"
"Yeah. I mean, if you weren't coming we would've eaten anyways, but Mom said you usually come by at the end of the week so I was like we can wait a bit-"
Stacey didn't say anything, slightly embarrassed as dinner was served.
No one had ever waited for him before.
Chapter 16: "You missed your alarm" (Takamichi&Muryou)
Chapter Text
After reuniting, the Muryou brothers decided to live together, at least when Takamichi wasn’t going on adventures. Things mostly went well, but there was one habit that hadn’t changed.
Takamichi set an alarm, and always slept through it. Muryou was a much lighter sleeper, and woke up to an alarm he didn’t need.
Muryou decided not to wake Takamichi, and went to make breakfast for himself. They were adults, and Takamichi could make his own breakfast.
“Good morning…” Takamichi said, entering the kitchen just as Muryou finished cleaning up. “What’s for…wait, did you already finish breakfast?”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“You missed your alarm.”
Chapter 17: "Stop jumping in the leaves" (Hiromu&Yoko)
Chapter Text
The Go-Busters were on a mission. It was fall, and there were leaves everywhere, but they were supposed to remain focused.
Hiromu ran around a pile of leaves someone had raked and was about to continue on his way when he heard the sound of leaves crunching.
"Stop jumping in the leaves!" he told Yoko. "You could've avoided that!"
"Maybe other people should stop leaving leaf piles in the way of where I'm running!"
"Then use your buster power of jumping!"
"But running through leaf piles is fun!"
Hiromu stopped for a moment to roll his eyes.
Chapter 18: Supernatural Creatures (Bun&Dai)
Chapter Text
In learning about Earth stories, Bun discovered that there were a lot of supernatural creatures that humanity had discovered. Or made up, but Bun still thought there was a chance they were real.
One night, he couldn't sleep, and he saw a strange figure pass by his window. Logically he knew it was probably just a shadow of an object being weird, or an animal, but he was too tired and scared to think logically.
"Dai, wake up," Bun said, going to his teammate's room.
"Why?"
"There's a vampire outside. I'm scared."
Dai let Bun stay in his room for the night, not sure how to tell him vampires weren't real.
Chapter 19: Internet friends (Stacey&DonKaito)
Chapter Text
One way that Stacey met friends was on the internet, which was an interesting way of keeping in touch with people from different worlds.
The most interesting person Stacey met online was Goshikida Kaito- no, not that Goshikida Kaito. Kaito of the Zenkaigers was interesting, but this person Stacey met online was completely different. He was calm, and able to have long, detailed conversations with Stacey. He was from a different world, and Stacey debated telling the Zenkaigers to go to that world many times.
He ended up not telling them and remained friends with both Kaitos.
Chapter 20: Penpals (Free Day) (Flint&Stacey)
Chapter Text
Flint liked sending things to Stacey from her travels to different parallel worlds. She knew Stacey had never really been anywhere outside of Kikaitopia and she decided to send him stuff. Mostly items, like magnets from Magnettopia (which was a bad idea in retrospect) and manga from Mangatopia.
She was surprised when Stacey sent something to her- a robe like Stacey wore, though with no Tojitendo logo ever on it, and with a note:
To Flint,
Thank you for all the things you have sent me. I've wanted to send something back in return but struggled to think of things to send you. Kikaitopia has clothing stores now, and these robes are becoming more common (I kinda like it- it's weird seeing kikainoids in them though. I originally made them for humans...) so I thought you could have one. I didn't send ones for your brothers because I don't know if they would like this. I hope you like it! Or I'll never send you anything again.
Sincerely,
Stacey
Flint laughed as she read the note. The gift was perhaps odd, but Stacey had good intentions and it had managed to get to her.
She wasn't sure her brothers would like the robes, but she would tell Stacey to send them anyways.
