Chapter Text
"Tommy! Get your ass down here!" Wilbur shouts from the kitchen, Technoblade grimaces at the shouting and glances at Phil, who is promptly ignoring everything except the pumpkin he's setting up and Kristin who is setting down sharpies to outline with. Tommy shouts back, something, he couldn't be heard over the Halloween music that's playing, Spooky Scary Skeletons blasting through the house.
Tommy runs down the stairs so fast he nearly trips on the last one, getting laughter from Wilbur who has grabbed some bowls for the pumpkin guts. Wil is flipped off by the blonde who walks into the kitchen and stands by his mother, looking over the items on the counter. They have some knives for carving, sharpies for outlining, bowls for the insides of the pumpkins and of course the pumpkins themselves. "Everyone ready to start?" Philza asks as he sets down some towels nearby.
A chorus of agreements ring out and everyone grabs a sharpie. There's some laughter as everyone sees what the others have drawn on their pumpkin and then everyone picks up a knife to take off the top of their pumpkin. Techno, Phil and Kristin get the tops off easily, Wilbur had some trouble and cuts a little to wide on his while Tommy asks for help which Techno assists with.
Once the tops are off and set to the sides, everyone starts scooping out the innards of the pumpkins. Tommy smirks a little to himself and when no one is looking he flings some at Wilbur, who screeches and looks up. Everyone looks at the brunette who has some of the stringy goop hanging off of his glasses, he glares as everyone starts laughing and grabs a handful of his own pumpkin guts and promptly throws it at Techno, hitting him directly in the face.
Silence.
"Big. Mistake." Techno gets some and throws it towards Wil, who doges and it hits Kristin in the chest. She grins and tosses some at Phil who yelps, before throwing some at Tommy. It's a mess by the time they stop, laughter ringing out as they calm down. Finally they get to carving their pumpkins, opting to clean up after.
Techno is unsurprisingly good at carving his gourd, which now looks like a polar bear. Phil is as well, his is a crow, surprise surprise. Kristin's pumpkin looks like a runner up to 3rd place, being a flower. and Wilbur's- They aren't sure what his is supposed to be- he forgot halfway through and just went with it. It kinda looks like some music notes and a guitar, if you squint and tilt your head the right way.
Tommy has refused to let anyone see what his is, everyone is curious but they don't pressure him into showing it. Once they've cleaned up their pumpkins a bit more, they clean up the kitchen, seeds and guts are every where and it looks like a pumpkin massacre. After that they get some candles to put in their pumpkins and take them outside to the front porch.
Everyone sets them down and puts a candle in theirs, Tommy going last. As he backs up and stands with his family everyone smiles as they see Tommy's pumpkin. A little grinning face stares ahead, small horns cut out at the top.
Over all? A very successful night of carving.
