An and Toya stood outside the cafe they were going to meet up at, it had been ten minutes since Kohane and Akito were supposed to arrive.
They didn’t usually take this long to arrive, especially with Kohane being there. Akito probably went to bed late last night though. They were on a group call, and the last thing Toya remembered before passing out was Akito’s face.
An pulled out her phone to check the groupchat.

kohammy!!!: an, toya im so sorry!! :(( akito got up late nd we missed the train. be there in half an hour!
Me: all good!!
Me: imma bring toya to that accessory shop, meet us there!

“Kohane said they missed the train, they’ll be here in half an hour” An said.
“Really?” Toya replied in mild confusion. “Kohane isn’t the type to let that slide.”
“Ah well, what happens is what happens! C’mon Toya, lets walk around!!”
An grabbed Toya’s hand and pulled him away to the shopping center.
“Wait! What about Akito and Kohane?!”
“No worries!! I covered that already!”

They stood in front of some type of accessory shop, the inside looked vibrant though the windows. Mountains of plushies bordered the walls. It reminded him a little of Kohane’s room, bright and colorful, but not too much that it hurt to look.
An took his hand and led him into the store.
It was even more colorful inside, necklaces, rings, bracelets, hair clips, all strung up and easily visible. Little keychains with plushes on the ends were hung up in a collumn.
Toya led An to the wall where all the stuffed animals were. He reaches out to take one. A blue dog with a star print on it’s hind leg.
“It reminds me of you. I wish I could keep it.” Toya said.
Toya looks at An. She really is pretty, and warm. Both literally and figuratively. He feels at ease with her.
“Why can’t you?” An asks, she pulls down a half-tone cat from near the bottom.
“My Dad. I usually end up giving the plushies I win to Saki or Akito’s sister” Toya answers.
“That sucks.” An replied. “How about we get both, and I’ll keep yours until you can have it yourself!”
“That.. sounds like a plan. Let’s do it.”
“But you can hold them for now, until you go home.”
An’s attention is taken by colorful marbled lockets near the end of the aisle to their left. The lockets were turquoise, orange, magenta, and indigo. It’s like they were made for them. An walks over, still holding Toya’s hand.
“Woah, these are pretty.” An remarked. “And they have our colors.”
“I wouldn’t have thought these colors go well together.” Toya said, fiddling with the hinge. “Good eye, An.”
“Lets buy them!! Then we can put a group picture in them!” An said.
“Sure. I can pay.”

As they walked out of the store, they saw two figures running towards them, one calling out.
“An! Toya!” Kohane called. “Oh, hello!”
“Sorry I’m late, couldn’t sleep last night.” said Akito.
“Try to go to sleep earlier.” An added. “And! Me and Toya got us matching lockets! Whaddya think?”
Akito looked over to Toya, which he immediately recognized as their new matching stuffed animals.
“Jeez, you are sappy.”
“I love you!”
