Work Text:
Wednesday hated saying 'I love you,' she found the word disgusting and gross. Everything changed after she came to Nevermore, meeting Enid and dating for a few months. Hearing her say it was fine.
Wednesday sat at her desk contemplating. When her cheerful girlfriend walked into their room.
"Wends?" Enid asked.
"Ugh," Wednesday replied.
Enid knew Wednesday loved her, but Enid fell instantly in love with the shorter girl from the moment she saw her. Something about Wednesday that made her not scared and steer away.
"I was hoping you'd be here," Enid said.
Wednesday not making eye contact, "Yeah," she murmured.
Enid blinked, "Something wrong?"
Wednesday turned to her, "No," she said sternly, "You're too happy and it's annoying."
Enid giggled, "No, you're adorable."
Wednesday rolls her eyes thinking her girlfriend is obnoxious, "I should head out, I got some figure something out."
She gives a quick kiss to her Enid before heading out, little does she know Thing followed her. Wednesday finds somewhere to sit and takes a few minutes to clear her head.
"I know you followed me Thing," she said.
She eyes Thing as he gestures, "You need to tell her the words."
Wednesday scoffs, "Why?" she murmured.
"Because, she said it the day you got together," he tells her.
Wednesday thinks about it, "I've felt oddly different lately since I started dating her. She's said I love you multiple times, too many to count."
"See, despite your personality, she stayed with you," Thing gestures to her.
Wednesday takes a deep breath, "I'm going to try and tell her."
Wednesday goes back to the room to see her girlfriend sitting there.
"You sat there the whole time?" she asked.
Enid giggles, "Yeah I was about to go look for you," she replies.
Wednesday's look on her face just made the blonde smile, "Oh how cute you are when you give that look," Enid teases.
"Look I'm just going to say it, I hate saying it, it disgusts me but with you, it's all different," Wednesday said, "I don't know say it, but I will try. I'm being serious about this. I love you, you weird girl."
Enid smiles like an idiot, "I can't believe you said it."
Wednesday shrugs, "Yeah, kiss me if you want."
They share a sweet kiss and Enid rests her head on Wednesday's lap, of course, Wednesday hates this, but she also doesn't hate it. But if her girl is comfortable, Wednesday doesn't mind this at all.
