Uki has been in the state of mind where he still thinks everything is a dream--a fever dream. In the back of his mind, he never thought about mating or having a family of his own and then, Fulgur came who apparently has a daughter to himself named Mary. Meeting the alpha made him realize that not all alphas would treat him just a homemaker, but as someone who can provide just like how alphas do. They met at the most casual way possible and ended up being together, mated to each other.
He started looking forward everyday of his life with his new found family. Uki was merely an omega but then, Fulgur gave him meaning. His alpha was very loving and caring towards him, and it's one of the few reasons why Uki loves him so much. Fulgur was more focused him now that he found out Uki's pregnant.
Weeks after mating, Uki felt those kinds of symptoms then decided to take a test one day. It's just like any other omegas who experiences pregnancy for the first time. At first, Uki was completely oblivious. The feeling of being pregnant, with his mate, hasn't sunk in to him. It was like he was having impostor syndrome. Then the following days happened, the omega started realizing that this is going to be the highlight of his life. Happiness started to flow through him.
From so much happiness, Uki got nervous and anxious--he felt mixed emotions. He was overthinking, crying and overwhelmed. It was like he was having so much anxiety everyday. The doctor said it's normal and it's the hormones but they said they should be careful because stress isn't good for Uki. From that day, Fulgur has been the most supportive person to Uki. The alpha basically catches every emotion and comforts the omega the most, even in the worst days.
"Uki, baby, calm down..."
The omega was crying his eyes out because of another overwhelming day. Seated on Fulgur's lap in bed, the omega cries against his chest. The alpha learned to cope up with it. He already know how to comfort his omega and one of the things he learned was not to sound angry or upset. Fulgur didn't want to sound like he was upset one day when Uki was in a bad state, he was just trying to say that stress is bad for the baby. Well, he never said that ever again.
"What are you thinking?" Fulgur asked. A phrase said so many times that it sounded very natural of him. He just wanted Uki to talk his feelings out.
Uki looked at his mate with puffy eyes, still filled with tears, "What if I can't be a good father? What if I can't take care of them?"
"Nah. You've been a good father to Mary. A great father, in fact. You're doing so good, baby. I know you're doing your best and Mary knows that. I'm sure you'll do the same to our youngest."
The omega bit his lower lip and hugs his alpha. Fulgur's scent immediately calmed him down. He snuggles and the alpha held him closely.
"You don't have to be the perfect father. No one is but everyone can be a parent in their own way. You'll do great, baby. I'm here with you always," Fulgur added. He went to cup Uki's cheeks, making him to look back at him. He smiled at his omega then squishes his cheeks for fun, "I'll love you no matter what. We can do this together."
Uki pouted, "Can I have a kiss then?"
Fulgur leans in and gave him a peck on the pouted lips.
"Another one?"
The alpha gave him another one then the omega asks for another.
"You can get as much kisses as you like, Uki," Fulgur uttered.
The omega tugs on a smile, feeling better. This is like their everyday hobby until Uki gives birth. It's crazy that Fulgur feels like he's taking care of two babies. Though, Mary has already saw Uki's meltdown, so she adds on to the support cup. It's a cute family effort, to be honest. Sometimes, Uki doesn't know how he got himself so lucky. Days were less gruesome, honestly.

Throughout the day, Uki stays at home for the most part. His day job is being a teacher at Mary's grade school. He had less work because of his pregnancy and it was better that way. Fulgur can't afford having him in a bunch of workloads and take care of naughty little kids. It's better for him to stay at home. The alpha occasionally checks up on him by phone and comes home whenever he has time. Their home isn't far from the university he works in but it's a little bothering, but Fulgur has to do everything so Uki wouldn't get upset.
Also, it's important for the alpha to come back in the afternoon. Pregnant omegas tend to have their needy phase--Well, atleast for Uki. The omega isn't craving on weird food, he's more craving for his alpha. Fulgur thought it's weird but Uki's pregnant. What can he even say to that?
Coming home to his home early in the afternoon, Fulgur's classes ended in the morning and had to finish some documents so he could be free for the week. He came in with Mary playing in the living room with her dolls. She was able to notice her father coming in which made her smile wide and leave her toys laying on the carpeted floor as she ran towards the tall alpha.
"You're home!" Mary uttered as she was carried by her father.
Fulgur kissed on her on the cheek, "Have you done your homework?"
His daughter nodded enthusiastically, "Papa helped me."
"Have you eaten lunch?"
"Yes! I ate lots of veggies today."
"Very good," Fulgur greeted then placed her on her previous seat where her toys are, "Since you've been good, I'll treat you outside."
Mary cheered as she clapped her hands excitingly, "I'll go and change my clothing!" then stood to run into her bedroom.
"Come out and clean your toys after, Mary!" the alpha reminded before he was able to have his mind focus on where his mate is.
It wasn't much of a hassle to him about finding Uki. First, their house isn't that big; two, Uki's either in their bedroom or kitchen; third, his scent was pretty much all over the place, even though it softened ever since he got pregnant. The alpha didn't hesitate to went straight into the kitchen after he heard rustling. He peeked inside and saw Uki cleaning some plates. Fulgur went behind and wrapped an arm around his mate. He kissed him by the head and felt that Uki smiled from his gesture.
"How are you?" Fulgur softly asked.
"Doing well," Uki answered, "You're home early."
"Yeah, just finished the classes and some workload," the alpha said then proceeds to rub on the omega's stomach, "Daddy's home."
The omega blushed and his heart skipped a beat but brushed it off, "I heard you and Mary are going?"
"Of course, all of us will go. The day looks nice. We could have some time at the park today. If you aren't tired, baby. It's alright," Fulgur uttered.
"I should go out. Exercise is good, the doctor said," Uki remembered. After putting the last plate on the rack, he turned and face his mate, "I'll go and change."
"Okay."
Both of them reached to kiss each other before Fulgur lets go of Uki. After everyone dressed up, they went out of their house and grabbed a taxi to go to the nearest park. Bringing their car would be hassle.
When they arrived, the three of them walked freely around with other people. Fulgur has a hand holding Mary while he has his arm around Uki's to assist him who was hugging his arm like a koala. He very much looks like a responsible husband and father, which he is. The alpha's incredible and the omega kept asking himself how did he got himself an alpha like Fulgur. He's really lucky.
Fulgur bought Mary ice cream once they reached the parlor. The little kid played happily in the playground while she still has her ice cream on hand. The couple, on the other hand, stayed seated on a bench where they could see Mary.
"You need to start working out, Fuu-chan," Uki said, squeezing his mate's arm, "If our youngest is born, you'll have to carry both of our kids."
Fulgur chuckled, "I'll be able to carry them."
"What if you need to carry me too?"
"I'll give you a piggyback ride then I'll have our youngest and Mary in my arms."
The omega laughed at the image in his head then slapped his mate's arm, "I'll help you, of course. I'll have to stop teaching for a while, so I could take care the both of them though."
"We can always get a nanny, Uki. You don't have to sacrifice your profession," the alpha looked at Uki dearly.
"It's my nature to take care of my family, Fuu-chan. I'll go back to teaching when our youngest goes to school," Uki said, "I don't have any problems on quitting for a while."
"We can talk about this when you give birth. But since that's your plan, I'll support you with it," Fulgur uttered.
"What would we name our baby?"
The alpha realized he hasn't thought about it. He hummed, "I named her Mary because of the song 'Mary had a little lamb' and it seemed cute...I haven't thought about anything for the second one. Do you have any names in mind?"
Uki hummed, "Maybe something from a Mythology? Something like...Athena or...Helios."
"That sounds very heroic," Fulgur commented.
"They're just very pretty," the omega uttered, "We should know your ideas, Fuu-chan."
"You're pressuring me, love," the alpha joked, giving a soft laugh, "Okay, let's see...Maybe, Celine for a girl, then...Axel for a boy. Sounds basic."
Uki laughed then nodded, "Sounds pretty too, y'know?"
"I'll think of a better one, I promise!"
They spent most of their time at the park. The three of them enjoyed it, having a little fresh air to warm up their day. Uki even had a very short nap while Fulgur just has his eyes on Mary. There wasn't much action but it was very special.
After, they head to the grocery store to buy some of their stuff needed. Mary had to pick up many sweets that Fulgur had to reject and put back into the rack. Uki wasn't very much of a strict father towards Mary, so he lets her buy whatever she wants. He's more like a pacifist in the household and Mary would always hide behind his leg whenever her father's mad. Uki had to talk to Fulgur the other day when Mary had physically hurt her classmate. Well, it was an accident. She was getting bullied and the omega has already settled the problem in the guidance office. The alpha just wanted to say that Mary shouldn't do anything back. It was self-defense.
The cart they had was full of groceries. Fulgur gave Mary only a pack of candies to atleast let her have some share. Uki bought the food he'll be cooking for the week and some snacks that he craves for. Once they were finished, they checked out then caught a taxi to go home.
The sun was already setting when they arrived. Fulgur carried the two bags while Uki and Mary went inside to prepare for dinner. The alpha placed both bags on the counter to put the groceries in place while the omega grabbed the ingredients to start cooking. Their little girl wanted to help, so Uki grabbed a stool for her to sit on. The alpha lets them be and just sat on couch to take a rest. It's been a long day for him.
It took an hour before Uki was able to finish cooking dinner. Mary had fun breading the pork cutlets for the Katsudon and mixed up the vegetables for their salad. The omega washed up before he could go and wake up his mate. He placed both of his hands on Fulgur's broad shoulders, massaging them to wake him up in a soft way. The omega smiled and leaned down to kiss the alpha's forehead.
"It's time for dinner, baby," Uki uttered softly.
Fulgur hummed, slowly opening his eyes, "Really? I didn't know I slept," then he sat up and stood.
"You must've been tired. Let's have some dinner then we'll get ready for bed. I'll dry up your hair after, okay?"
The alpha nodded, putting a hand on Uki's lower back as they walked towards their dining table while Mary was waiting for them.
Fulgur did as he was told. After dinner, he gave Mary a goodnight kiss then he went to wash up inside their bathroom while she and her papa was left to clean the house. Uki then helped their daughter to wash up and prepare for bed. He dressed her into her pink pajamas and tucked her into her bed. The omega read her a short story to let her have good dreams.
"Papa, will I get a baby sister or a baby brother?" she asked.
The omega hummed, thinking, "I'm not sure, baby. What do you think?"
"A little sister would be nice," Mary answered.
"Will you love still love them if it's a boy?" Uki asked as he neatly puts the book back into the shelf.
She nodded, "Of course. They're my sibling, afterall."
The omega smiled. He leans and kissed her forehead, stroking her white locks that she got from her alpha father, "Time for bed. Sleep tight, Mary."
"Good night, papa."
When Uki exits the bedroom, he went into his shared one with Fulgur. When he comes in, he saw the alpha seated on the edge of the bed. Fulgur looked at his mate.
"Done reading her a story?" the alpha asked.
Uki nodded, "She's sleeping."
"I'm sorry. I could've done it instead."
"It's alright, Fuu-chan. You were too tired. Come and sit on the floor please."
The omega went to grab the hairdryer in a drawer then went to plug it on the nearest outlet. Fulgur already went to sit on the carpeted floor then Uki sat on the edge of the bed, putting his mate in between his thighs. He turned the hairdryer on then started drying Fulgur's white hair. He seemed to be dozing off already, making Uki chuckle.
It went on for a few minutes before Fulgur's hair is dry. Uki even combed it for him. He felt the alpha hugged his leg and gave a soft kiss on his bare inner thigh.
"Thank you, baby. You need to take a bath and rest now as well," Fulgur said.
The omega nodded, "Wait for me?" he asked then stood and puts the hairdryer back into the drawer.
"Of course. I'll try my best," the alpha answered with a smile.
Uki goes into their bathroom to wash up and change his clothing. He did it fast, so Fulgur wouldn't fall asleep. He did his skincare routine and went out of the bathroom after. The alpha was sitting on the bed, back against the headrest, with a book that he is reading in hand. When he noticed the omega was done, he puts a bookmark between the pages and closed it then he puts it on the sidetable. Uki brushed up his hair before he went to turn the lights off then tucks himself into their bed.
"It's weird that you're more tired than the pregnant one," Uki teased.
Fulgur snorted, "Honestly, I'm young, but my energy levels are for old people."
"You did well today, anyway. I had fun," the omega said as both of them laid on their bed. He went closer and snuggled against his alpha's chest.
"That's good to hear. We'll go to the doctor tomorrow, okay? Don't forget," Fulgur reminded, holding Uki close.
His omega nodded, "I'll wake up early then. Good night, Fuu-chan."
"Good night, Uki," the alpha answered back.
Uki went and placed a kiss on Fulgur's lips, despite the room being dark, "I love you."
Fulgur smiled against his omega's cheek, "I love you too, baby."
