Morgan crashes a wedding and finds out Alex is his soulmate. The two agree to go on a date.
You most certainly will die.
That's what is written on Morgan's wrist. Being a D-tier, he expects anyone to say that though they never say it word for word.
He's still never really believed in meeting the love of his life or his soulmates. It's not something he can afford anymore.
He isn't a hero who can protect them, not a sidekick able to request protection. He's a villain.
People target whatever is the weakest link to hurt them; having a soulmate would get them killed.
Morgan got a call from Gus telling him about a situation; there was a wedding taking place between two of the wealthiest influential people. The guests would be loaded. A perfect group to pick pockets and steal from.
Morgan takes a team, and they scatter throughout the room; the reception will be fun, but first, they must get through the wedding vows.
"Do you promise to take Alex Stewart as you're lawfully wedded person to love and to hold until death do you part?"
Morgan looked up from reading the pamphlet; something about this felt off.
"I do,"
Then the priest turned to Alex. "Do you take Cameron Sy as your wife?"
Alex turned to their wife. "I will, till death doth part us twain," and then their hand wound up in their wife's chest cavity and withdrew, dragging her heart clean out for all to see.
Her body crumpled to the floor as everyone screamed and scattered away from the bloody carnage happening in the first few rows.
Morgan freezing as he stares at the bloody scene unveiling; he can hear his team slipping out of the event and making sure everyone has gotten out.
"Boss?" echos in his ear. "Get out of there, boss,"
The noise of people screaming fell silent as the killer Alex, stalked over to Morgan, frozen in his seat.
"You most certainly will die,"
Once Alex had uttered those words, Morgan snapped out of it. "Seriously? You?"
Then Alex faltered, backing up. "But you're a civilian. My soulmate can't be a civilian,"
Morgan shot them a glare. "Villain, actually,"
Alex brightened up. "Oh, that changes things. Want to go on a date?"
Morgan sighed. "Sure, I guess. You're paying,"
Alex laughed, gesturing for Morgan to lead the way. "Yeah okay,"
