Chapter Text
Ben sighed as he dropped himself onto the motel bed, tired as hell. That mission was one of his most exhausting ones yet.
Erica, who was in the room with him, couldn't help but smile. He looked adorable with his hair shaggily hanging over his forehead, and his soft breathing as he lay on the bed.
"God, I've never been this tired before," Ben groaned.
"Not even in Paris?"
"Nope."
"Wow, this must be bad."
"Yep."
Erica tittered and sat next to him on the bed, crossing her legs and bouncing a bit. "I'm going to go to my room to freshen up. I'll come back, if you want. We can hang out before you knock out?"
Ben chuckled. "Yeah, sure."
Erica smiled as she stood up and left the room, but not before stopping to perch the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the doorknob, just in case.
Ben slowly lifted himself up off the bed, scratching his scalp.
A bath, he thought. Before anything else, I need a bath.
He slipped into the bathroom and took a quick shower, sighing as he stepped out in a provided bathrobe.
He put on his change of clothes (nothing fancy, just a t-shirt and jeans) and layed back onto the bed, making "snow angels" and taking the soft mattress and pillows all in.
Meanwhile...

"Agh!" Murray slipped off the building and fell into the bush below. "Oof!"
"Are you okay?" Jenny asked through his headset.
"That's the third time this has happened! Does that sound okay to you, Jenny?"
"Ugh. Okay, so you want to bail?"
"No!" Murray groaned. "Ugh. I have to do this."
"How the hell did we ever date? I've never seen you so gay before."
"I am pansexual, Jenny."
"Sorry. I was only trying to lighten the mood." She sighed. "I do have a life, you know. Can you please stop falling off? I kept telling you to work out more, but you never listened."
"Now is not the time for that kind of talk." Murray sighed as well. "Okay, I can do this."
He climbed up the side of the building once again, and this time held onto the window correctly like he was supposed to. "Ah! I did it!"
"Great! Just a bit more to go."
Not without struggle, Murray slowly but surely lifted himself onto the next window, grabbing the bottom and making it--without falling into a bush!
"Finally! Yes!" he exclaimed.
Jenny cheered. "Okay, now you just have to climb in the window."
"Jenny, if you picked the wrong hotel, I swear to God--"
"Chillax. I've got all this under control. Your trust issues have gotten worse since we broke up, huh?"
Murray grunted and slowly lifted the window and peeked in.
It was Ben's hotel, all right. He was lying on the bed like he hadn't slept in days.
"Okay, it's him. I'm going radio silent." Murray ripped off his headset and threw it into the bushes below.
Murray opened the window fully and stumbled into the room. Ben, surprisingly, made no sound.
Confused, Murray crawled up to him and inspected. He was dozing--not fully asleep, but pretty damn close.
Murray grinned and lifted a bit of Ben's messy red curly hair, then whispered into his ear:
"Boo."
Ben's eyes ripped open, and he seemed to jump 20 feet in the air. "GAH!"
It took a second for him to gain his bearings as he realized who had so unpleasantly awoken him. "MURRAY?!"
"In the flesh!" Murray replied, smiling.
"What the hell are you doing in my room?!"
"I wanted to pop in and say hi!"
"Murray, I could've been..." Ben pursed his lips and squirmed at the thought of anyone, but especially Murray, seeing him without any clothes on.
"Don't sweat it! I waited! I have respect for people's privacy, you know!"
Ben grunted. "What warranted this?"
"I missed you, you silly goose! It's been a while, hasn't it? Plus, I'm all good now!"
"Uh-huh." Ben still didn't trust Murray very much, and suspected he was hiding something. "What's the real reason you're here?"
"C'mon, Ben! Would I lie to you?"
"Yes."
"Oh, yeah." Murray shrugged. "Well, I'm not!"
Ben softened. It actually seemed that Murray was here genuinely to pop in and give a friendly hello. All their old times being friends came back into his mind, and he was no longer as tense.
Murray looked Ben up and down, and bounced onto the bed, crossing his legs. "You haven't changed much! But you do seem handsomer."
That made Ben blush. "What the heck?"
"What? A guy can't call his friend handsome?"
Ben frowned. "You are a mysterious creature, Murray."
Murray laughed, and then, he did the craziest thing Ben had seen him do.
Murray had put a price on Ben's head and sent assassins after him. Murray tried to destroy Antarctica. Murray tried to blow up spy school. And yet, this was the craziest thing.
Murray gave Ben a tight hug.
Surprisingly, Ben didn't recoil in disgust as he might have a year before. In fact, he enjoyed it. A lot. He suddenly felt like he was floating, like his body was filled with cotton candy and bubbles and rainbows.
A whole lot of rainbows.
But, just as quick and sudden as it had started...
It stopped.
"Guess I'll be going now, then!" chirped Murray.
Ben blinked, barely able to speak.
"Do I get a goodbye hug?" joked Murray, sliding across the bed to get off.
"Wait." Ben grabbed Murray's arm and stopped him in his tracks.
Murray gave Ben a questioning look.
Oh my God, am I really going to do this? Ben thought to himself as he prepared for the craziest thing he'd ever done.
The next thing he knew, Ben's knees were on either side of Murray's crossed legs, and they were looking into each other's eyes with an insane, passionate longing. Ben breathed heavily, awaiting an approval.
Slowly but surely, Murray gave a long nod.
And just like that, Ben was onto him.
Ben pressed his lips firmly into Murray's, and neither let go. Murray held a grip on Ben's head immediately, stroking through his hair as softly as he could. Ben wrapped his arm around Murray's waist as the two explored each other's mouths lovingly.
Ben was very awkward and very nervous about it. He had kissed Erica a couple of times before, but it was barely anything--just lips touching, end. But now he was sinking deeper and deeper, trying as hard as possible not to bite Murray's lip or do anything to turn him off.
But Murray was fine with it. Ben's squirms were cute, and he was happier than ever. THIS GUY I'VE HAD A CRUSH ON FOREVER IS MAKING OUT WITH ME!!! danced through his mind. A giggle rose in his throat, and it took all his will not to let it out.
Things got even better as Ben added tongue to the equation, and Murray held onto Ben's shoulders. The feelings the two were experiencing? Way above Cloud Nine. Like, Cloud Eleven or something.
Murray pulled Ben closer, hands around his waist.
God, this is the best, the two seemed to think at the exact same time.
Until the door opened.
"Ben?" a voice muttered.
Ben jumped up once more, separating from Murray (much to Murray's dismay.)
Murray bit his lip as Ben weakly exclaimed, "Erica!" and licked his lips.
To be continued...
