Work Text:
Aang parked the car in the spot and open the roof of the car, it was a hot summer night so everyone in the drive-in had their windows open or was outside of the car. He sit in the back seat and take his popcorn and coke, the movie was already starting but if you asked him what movie it is he wouldn't be sure to respond, one thing he was almost sure is that it was a horror movie from the 80'.
He started to eat his popcorn seeing the initial credits pass and he smile a little while thinking in the past, the drive-in bring him some special memories with a special someone in almost all of them. If he concentrate Aang could see black hair in a messy bun and a green shirt she loved to steal from him. "It's comfy", she always said. She didn't care about her apparence, she used to use a short made for mens and a giant sweatshirt and she looked charming even in those.
She also loved drive-ins, wich was ironic since she was blind. Aang remebered one time he asked her about this and her response was that she loved to hear everything happening around them like the couple talking in low voice in the car next to them or the giggled of a group of girls behind them. And the smell was kinda good too, she say, the soda spilling while open, the popcorn with butter and, she loved to joke about this, the lust in the air.
When he pushed her away after saying this, she call him a baby and he kissed her to prove that wrong until someone kick his car when she moan too loud, the person would tell them to stop that they're trying to enjoy the movie. She yelled curses at them and when another person tell them to shut up she show them the middle finger while Aang didn't know wether to laugh or cry. He would grab her back to the car and distracted her talking about what happend in the movie.
When the movie ends or there is no movie, Aang drive to a calm place where they could get some time alone, they normally chat in the car or would kiss their way until the back seat, sometimes they just sit in the top of the car and would hug in silence. Other times she would grab of cigarettes off her pocket and smoke, even rarely times, Aang would take the cigarette out of her hands, smoke it once and returned to her.
"I know that I can't see and shit, but you must look really sexy smoking." She said, it was the second time that this happened, he giggled.
"I highly doubt." Aang said and put the cigarette back in her hands. "Did you know that this is really bad for your lungs?"
"I have no ideia." She says ironicly, the smoke getting out of her mouth.
"Yes, it does." He saind not minding her response. "Did you know you look more beautiful without this in your hands?" He took the cigarette out of her hands again, she smiled.
"Oh, yeah?" She asked getting closer to him.
"Yeah, for sure." His nose was really close to hers.
It was her that kissed him that night. Aang let some tears scape his eyes while filled his hands with popcorn and put it in his mouth and try to focus on the giagantic movie screen on his front, but the most he was trying to see the most memories filled his mind. For the spirits, he even miss the times she would make him watch those true crime documentaries with her in his house.
"It's cool!" She said grabbing his arm before he could scape to the kitchen. "Just onee."
He rolls his eyes but sit next to her again, she gave him her victory smile and asked Jodee, the virtual assistent, to put the documentary on the tv. That night, Aang could barely sleep and it was her job to take him to bed and hug him until he sleeps.
Aang take a deep breath and look to the empty sit next to him, if she saw him right now she would punch him and then hug him. More tears roll for his face and he smiled, lifting his cup of soda for the sky.
"Hope you are good where you are, Toph" He said and then drank it.
