What happens when the lights to Space Mountain go on?

The Spacewalking Astronauts had changed a lot over the years. 

They’d also seen a lot. 

Space Mountain with the lights on might be a novelty for Guests, but not to the astronauts, who’d seen it all too often. 

The Left Spacewalk Astronaut had a great view of the Omega Space Mountain track on the right. While the Right Spacewalk Astronaut had a great view of the Alpha Space Mountain track on the left.

And both of them had a great view of the PeopleMover beneath them. 

But they had an even better view of everything when the lights turned on. 

Notes:

It always fascinates guests when the lights on the ever dark Space Mountain go on. But to those Astronauts stuck doing a spacewalk on the lift hill who’ve been there since 1975, it must get boring, surely. What’s novel to the guests, they’ve seen a million times before.
