"When I was a little kid like really little, like 8 or so…" Yuu said sitting in a chair across from the dorm heads. Why was this happening, well Yuu started to remember things from back home and wanted to talk about it. " I was playing in my father's study..
A place in the house I wasn't supposed to go…" yuu said as the others sat quietly. " My father fancied himself a sailor, his study was filled with nautical decor" azul humed at the mention of sailor. " He kept a boat in a bottle on the top of a shelf…" yuu looked upset pausing for a month and flinched hearing the memory. " And it shattered on the ground when I slammed the door." Riddle came over patting Yuu's back. " I told my mother everything. I told her I was so, so sorry" Riddle gently rubbed their back. " She told me, "don't cry. When he comes home tonight, we can make everything okay. This is all we have to say." Leona's eyes softened not so annoyed anymore. "We don't remember a boat in a bottle. It must've fallen off its shelf alone. We know you loved it, we're so sad it's broken. But neither one of us was even home" Yuu said acting like they were pleading to someone. " And it's our word
Yes, our word…" yuu muttered as the other got slightly confused. " Against his." Yuu leand into Riddle touch.
"So I hid screw-ups from my father… made up school awards to please my mom…" yuu mumbled remembering every day they had with their family. " Whatever made the steak taste better… Whatever kept the waters calm… I was told to keep their secrets…
And in turn they'd keep mine…" yuu said as kalim held their hand. " As I got older, I got dumber… I couldn't help but cross the line…" yuu muttered looking at there hands pulling them from kalim to stare at them. " Three times I nearly wrecked my life. Three times I nearly came to ruin. Three times went crying to my parents." Yuu said pulling their hands to their chest. " Who said they'd make it go away. Yes, this is all we had to say… "We never rented a house in Japan We didn't see Nori the day they died We haven't been on our boat in some years now So we don't care what you found inside"..." yuu said eyes flicking around In fear the others getting worried. "And it's our word… Yes, our word..It's our word. Yes, our word… Against theirs" yuu was on the verge if crying. " Somebody was paid to make it go away… Everyone was paid to make the problems go away… Doesn't matter who gets screwed, or who is blamed Or what you need to do to clear your name… An inconvenient truth can be easily erased…" yuu muttered vil handing them a tissue which they took.
"When I was 18… I was living in New York… I developed some fun habits… Put my white blood cells to work…" yuu narrowed their eyes stareing at their lap. "I remember it so clearly… I was home alone on a Tuesday night.. To level out, I'd popped some downers… But couldn't seem to get my mind right" the others were quite as yuu talked idia frowned Fidelity with his tablet. "I drew a bath and slipped into it.. And suddenly became aware.. I couldn't keep my head above water.. I took a final gasp of air…" yuu said clawing at their trought and breathing quickly. "And as I laid there helplessly.. A million different thoughts came to me.. I saw my parents hearing the news "Your only child drowned today" I thought about what they might say…" yuu was staring and not paying attention to the others. "Our child Yuu? No, they moved to Austin. They're very happy there, or so we hear. They've aways been so goddamned, independent. The years go by and now we barely see them" yuu said while weekly clinging to malleus who hugged them.
"Our child yuu? You must be mistaken, You mean the kid we raised as if our own? We loved 'em so much they felt like our child. But eventually we had to send them home" yuu muttered finally crying into malleus shirt before calming down. " It'd be their word
Only their word… It'd be their word..Only their word…." Yuu looked up sadly " On its own…." The others took alright to comfort the human.
"Oh Yuu…" vil hummed wipping Yuu's eyes as malleus hugged them and riddle, and idia were rubbing their back. Kalim and azul held their hands "it'll be ok." Kalim said Yuu nodded and let them take care of them.
