It had been 10 years since the Battle of Hogwarts.
10 years since the defeat of Voldemort.
Merlin...
How long ago that seems to some.
How it only seems like yesterday to others.
It has been 10 yeaars since he lost his best friend.
His brother...
Fred...
It hurts just to say his name. To hear it. To think it.
Imagine how much it hurts to look in the mirror and see your lost friend staring back at you.
Except he looks wrong...
He should be smiling. Laughing about a prank or trying out new products for the shop.
He shouldn’t be missing an ear.
He shouldn’t be crying silently.
He’ll never hear his laugh again. Or see his smile. Or hear one of his brilliant jokes.
His sentences will always go unfinished. His other half never returning.
Gone forever.
