This was it, you and Dream would be seeing one another for the first time ever, and it was happening in a very short 3 hours. It was more like you were seeing Dream for the first time, he’d seen your face, quite a lot actually so you were full of anticipation for this moment. Friends for 6 years, dating for 2, and you were finally going to see him and how he reacts to what you say to him.
It's not like you were the only one who was nervous either, Dream had been sitting in the dream team living room, elbows on his knees and a face full of obvious distress with his two best friends sitting next to him.
Dream sighs, “What if they think I’m ugly? Or that they- oh my god what if they think that we shouldn't be together anymore?” He frantically asks his friends.
Sapnap looks to George before speaking, “Dream, nothing about the way you look will change their love for you. If it did, this would've happened years ago. Trust me when I say that they do not care what you look like, as long as you’re the same person they fell in love with, you're good dude.” He pats Dreams back.
“Sapnap is right y'know? They don't care as long as you’re the same dream, the same clay. Your looks don't define you as a person, Dream. Especially not to them.” George assures Dream, and as he's done talking, Dream's phone vibrates.
He checks his phone, “Speak of the devil they just landed, so are y'all ready to pick them up? I'll be here.” Sapnap and George nod and get up to leave for the airport.
This whole time waiting, Dream was mostly trying to calm himself down, but also he was just so relieved that he didn't need to hide this part of him anymore, after this, he could show the world what he looked like.
With him being so caught up with his thoughts he suddenly heard, “Dream! We're home!” and he remembered why he was panicking earlier.
He sat on the couch in the living room, hearing footsteps become closer to him and he hears from the voice he loves so much, “Dream?”
He stands up from the couch as Sapnap and George leave the room quietly.
He turns around, and watches as the smile on his partner's face falls into one of relief, comfort almost, and so does his.
“Holy shit.” They say at the same time.
Two lovers in a universe made just for them.
Meant to be, meant to be right here in this random Florida living room.
You were the first to speak, “You’re prettier than I could have ever imagined, Clay.” With the brightest smile on your face, you walk towards Dream.
The two meet in the middle, almost slamming into one another. They were in cloud 9, no one could bring them down from this moment.
They pulled back from each other, and slowly leaned into kiss.
This was it, the moment they were both waiting for.
All day long, the two have just been laying in Dreams bed listening to their shared playlist and quietly talking about small things and just repeating “I can't believe you’re here.”
As Dream stared at his partner, he heard the beginning of ‘Here With Me’ by D4vd, and the two of them quickly stared into each others eyes and smiled.
‘Watch the sun rise along the coast
As we’re both getting old

They both quietly sing along to the song until their favorite part comes on.
The two get close and put forehead to forehead, both holding the other's face in their hands.
They sing together with a sweet smile on their faces,
‘And if it’s right, I don’t care how long it takes
As long as I’m with you I’ve got a smile on my face

All I know is you’re here with me’
Dream watches as their partner closes their eyes, and he can see they're truly reminiscing in this moment, and he wonders if he's taking it for granted. But when he thinks about it, this was all he wanted in life, to be here in this bed listening to this song and singing these lyrics.

Dream goes to speak over the music, “God I am so in love with you.”
