After a long day of doing nothing but waiting, finally, Idia could have his boyfriend back.
Malleus let himself be dragged into their room after Idia fed him. They laid in each other's arms, both excited to spend the night together. They usually spoke about little things, such as work, Idia’s games, just catching each other up on what they did when they were a part. Idia sometimes drifted off to sleep mid conversation, but Malleus did not mind it all.
It was around midnight when Idia woke up from his nap. He sat up and looked down at Malleus who had his eyes fixated on him. Idia gave him a sheepish smile as he rubbed his eyes lazily. “Stop staring at me,” Idia yawned as he spoke. Malleus smiled at him, affectionately rubbing his side. “I can’t help myself. You are very pretty when you rest.”
“Is it because I never sleep?” “Well, yes, that has to do with why I like watching you sleep. But you are also just.. beautiful.”
Idia looked down at him, patting his head. “What are your favorite features?” He knew the answer to his question, but it never failed to make him just as happy every time they had this conversation. Malleus sat up, cupping Idia’s face into his hands. “Where do I start? Well, your eyes for one. They are very striking.” Malleus kissed his forehead, and then his lips. “Your hair, your lips.. the color, although unusual, is something I’ve always liked.”
Malleus gently kissed him again, and Idia started to feel flustered. “Hmm.. your teeth, your smile.” Idia tried looking away but Malleus held him in place. “I love how long your eyelashes are. I also like the color of your eyes. So pretty to look at,” He leaned in once more, Idia holding his hands as they sunk back into bed. “Your eyes are so melancholic but they are also very expressive. I love the feeling of your skin. The way you smell,” Idia laughed and pushed his face away. “Do you fucking smell me?” Malleus smiled at him. “You don’t?”
Idia shook his head. “I’m not a weirdo.”
Leaning in again, Malleus ran his hand over his stomach. Idia wrapped his arms around his shoulders. “Whatever that means.” Idia kissed his cheek and Malleus wrapped his arms around him. “I love you so much Idia.” He whispered it against his hair, rubbing his back. Idia smiled, his hair matching the the blush on his face. “You’re everything I’ve ever wanted and more.”
“Don’t be so corny dude,” Idia said as they both stared at each other. “Never.” Idia laughed again and Malleus kissed his forehead. “I love you too, Malleus. More than you’ll ever know.”
