Chapter Text
TW!
It had been two years since Bailey had seen her mom laying dead of the ground, knife lodged into their body. It had been a year, since an alien with a dead family had taken her and her sisters in.
First, there were the twins. They were pratically Identical. If it weren't for their virtiligo they'd look exactly the same, minus their hairstyles.
They both had ginger hair and green eyes. They were both darker than Bailey, of course, but not by much.
Melody wore their hair in locs and usually had cheap steampunk goggles on their head. The only reason Bailey thought it was weird, was because Melody was fully capable of making their own goggles. Maybe Melody was trying to hold onto some type of childlike innocents. Bailey couldn't blame them really, the twins were only 12 and had already gone through so much. Melody's favorite color was purple. It was such a stupid color, but maybe Melody likes it so much because it was the color they could use to seperate themself from their twin. Bailey couldn't really care all that much, I mean its how she tells both Melody and Evelyn apart from each other.
As for Lyn, she wore her hair in afro styles. Normally, her hair was just allowed to wear her hair all messily, unless it was a special event. What could Bailey say about Lyn? She was arrogant and impulsive. Lyn was the jokester of the four, and nobody could stand her jokes. Lyn often teased Melody about their science stuff, which caused the twins to bicker a lot. Honestly, based on the way Lyn bickers, it was easy to assume that bickering was something small for her brain to focus on. Evelyn always wore blue, but never the same shade of blue. She couldn't stand one shade of blue for long periods of time, it got too boring for her.
Then there was Lyric, the baby sister. She was only 5 years old when she had to see all the blood. Honestly, Bailey doubted that Lyric even remembered the scene, she probably only remembered the panic that the rest went into. Lyric was seven years old now. Her pale blond hair constantly braided into goddess braids, and her paper white skin red with scrapes from failed skateboard attempts. Lyric usually ended up with hand-me-down pants, but that was okay, because atleast she got her own shirts. Lyric looked up to her sisters a lot, and so when she had noticed them choosing their own color schemes, she decided that orange would be her color from now on. It was such a bright contrast, paper white skin with a bright orange layered ontop, but Lyric never minded that. As long as she was being included by her sisters, she really couldn't care.
Bailey got up and walked to the bathroom. She looked at the scar that went down all the way from her left nostril down to her chin. Lyn had told her once that the scar made her look badass, and so Bailey decided to make up a story about her being a pirate, and she told it to her sisters. They all loved the story, even if they didn't believe in it anymore, and still asked Bailey to tell it to them if it was a really rough night. Gee, Bailey never noticed how much she had tanned simce running away. Her skin was a lot darker than the pale she was a year ago. Its not like Bailey minded really, she looked better with a tan than she did ghostly pale. Bailey ran her hands through her hair, straightening it out as she did so. She was getting tired of this dark brown color, maybe she should dye some of it red? Next time they have enough extra money, Bailey was totally getting herself red dye.
Yawning, Bailey slumped back into her bedroom, collapsing into bed. Maybe she should wake up early. Check on Melody and their tech, and maybe make sure Lyn actually eats. Maybe, but first, she HAS to sleep.
