If everything came back to bite you all at once what would happen? If all the paper cuts you’ve had in a lifetime reappeared all at once what would happen? Would you die out stone cold onto the concrete or still thrive with the rest of us on nothing but pure chance? If everything came back to haunt you what would you do?
Maybe that’s how Rek felt in this moment. He didn’t mean to betray his teammates but they saw it like that. Now he was with who he considered imposters. He felt trapped for God’s sake. What was he gonna do now? He accidentally betrayed his old team and was now with the team who murdered him because of something on a practice server. He couldn't leave and join a new team. No that would make him unreliable to other teams and players, n ones dumb enough for that, not on lifesteal. Not to mention that if he did the Clout Team would be on his back. So now he had to play with them, fight with them in hopes of not having a knife in his back one more time cause then he would be hopeless.
As time passed by he killed Branzy twice was it? It’s hard to keep track of in lifesteal one moment you could be having fun with your friends and the next you could all be blown up into smithereens. Time and the amount of people you killed just seemed irrelevant. Although now he got a message a few days later from Branzy. He wants to talk, he wants to him kill him. Although the message seemed a bit too ominous. He was playing with Reks mind, Rek knew this he knew in the end whatever happened would come down to him and him only. That’s the type of person Branzy was he’d test you and test you until you finally broke and your true colors were on display for him.
Then he’d either high tail it outta their or forgive you. Rek didn’t wanna go to the place, heel he didn’t even wanna join the Vc that Branzy was waiting in hi for. He felt his adrenaline spike at an all time high and his mind almost race. He could feel his hands sweating as he knew he had no other choice to join the vc out of pure curiosity and the drug of adrenaline coursing through him.
”Branzy your freaking message sent my brain into panic mode!” Rek laughed it off trying to deescalate the situation at hand but with Randy’s there was no telling in hell what that man was thinking other than pure chaos.
”I know but you know I think there’s been some tension going on and I just wanna clear the air,” Branzy stared lightheartedly. Although there was something behind that sweet voice he was using, a facade. Rek didn’t wanna fall for Branzys trap. He knew Branzy could trap him if he wanted too. That message was only the start of the race, now they had to finish it. The only question was who would be coming out of it with their body intact.
”Yeah, yeah, sure,” Rek agreed heading over to the coordinates but not before doing a scoop around of the place. He couldn’t find anything. He felt his adrenaline hit an all time high now having a feeling that the place was underground. The next few parts might have very well been a blur. He was standing in a doorway, there was a trap. There was a hole and yes it was underground how could it not be? Then tnt. He felt the highest urge to back away from the hole but this was a trust exercise right? Or was that a lie too? He followed Branzy down regardless. If he did have the urge to trap him Rek would escape like always. He watched as a gravel pathway stood in front of him along with tnt, Rek looked up and saw the tnt filled room. The urge to run out rather than to trust Branzy pulled at him more than ever. Although he stayed, whatever Branzy was doing he needed to see it.
Branzzy crossed the gravel pathway and saw a lever. His mind instantly flicked back to the tnt placed above his head like a fly trap. Branzy turned around and smiled at Rek. “I’m so glad you decided to trust me! Cause if you didn’t something terrible would’ve happened,” rants stated. Rek looked down and saw the gravel fall down revealing only a few safe blocks. Branzy could’ve killed him- no he still can kill him. Focus. Was the only thing on his mind until he heard a click. He looked and saw that Branzy stepped on a pressure plate and for the first time in forever he saw the tnt above Branzys head. He knew that it was connected it was made like that so Rek would know what was happening. Branzy was trusting Rek. He didn’t know whether to deem Branzy foolish or not as he stood smiling at Rek.
Although right now he didn’t care all he saw was that his friends was doing something dumb, his red stone was messy as hell and Rek didn’t know if it was stable or not. In an instant he forgot about his danger and jumped across the lava parkour and took out the tnt looking at Branzy like a concerned and disappointed mother.
”You didn’t even let me finish my speech,” Branzy pouted playfully. Rek paused realizing now that Branzy was talking when Rek was having a life crisis. He could’ve missed something from being paranoid. Although Branzy didn’t care. He mined outa few logs and revealed a bubble elavator. Rek laughed seeing Branzy smile like an idiot.
”Alright up you go,” Branzy smiled. Reks first thought was that there was gonna be a trap but instead he pushed Branzy in.
”Wait Rek don’t stay down there,” Branzy laughed. Rek saw that there was still a live wire and then there was a small explosion. He laughed it didn’t really hurt him since he had armor but still it gave him a small scare. Branzy would’ve been injured the man wasnt even wearing armor for Pete’s sake! Almost then it hit him. The type of person Branzy was.
Sure he played kind games, Sure he did this and that but he didn’t wear armor. Branzy wasn’t paranoid, he wasn’t like Rek hell he even went into battle without armor. He was reckless, unpredictable, god the amount of times he’s seen Branzy with armor probably wouldn’t even pass 15. Not even on the 2 seasons of Echocraft. Branzy wasn’t paranoid, he trusted people naturally. Sure with cautions but still he trusted them.
Sure maybe he betrays people quite a bit but still he trusts them in the end and be,Ives that they would never do anything to hurt him. Branzy was innocence in a person. Well at least for now, nothing truly survives on lifesteal if it’s innocent. He knew that Branzy would morph into something worse, something deadlier but under all of that he had a feeling that he would never take any of it seriously. It was just who he was.
Plus who even cared in the end, after all it’s just a small cut. It can’t do any real harm to you after all. What? Did you seriously think that the small little cuts would matter in the end? They don’t, in the end everyone still cares, everyone’s still friends, and in the end everyone wins. Just because they got to hang out with the people that they loved the most.
Their friends.
