12/2012 – Jennie & Lisa

“Nini?”

She didn’t stop her power-walk down the hall.

Maybe she didn’t hear her.

She tried again.

“Nini!”

No reaction once again.

Lisa grew a little frustrated as she sprinted after the shorter girl with the beautiful, long, dark hair who had yet to acknowledge her presence.

“Jennie!”, she tried a little louder and this time there was a slight halt in her friends’ movements – but before she knew, Jennie was off – sprinting full speed into the direction of YGs arrival’s booth.

Luckily, Lisa was rather athletic herself – more so than Jennie even, so after a little bit of a race, she finally caught up to her friend – grabbing her left arm and forcing her to turn around.

But rather than finding her friends ever so friendly demeanor she looked into a face full of anger and… something else she couldn’t quite place. It didn’t matter anyway though, because with the way that Jennie glared at her, her initial question was already answered.

“You’re angry with I.”, the Thai girl stated – still in a rather shaky version of Hangul, but instead of that making Jennie smile like it usually did, she showed no such signs of happiness today.

She just glared.

“Why are you?”, Lisa tried again – searching Jennie’s face for any indicators, trying to make the smaller girl look up into her eyes.

“Jennie? Did I do stupid?”

Instead of answering with words, Jennie only shook her head – looking anywhere but at Lisa when she wiggled herself out of the younger girls’ grip.

“Sorry.”, Lisa mumbled in English when she realized that she had squeezed her friends arm a little tightly.

Jennie took a few steps backwards until she was standing behind a big welcome sign – pretty much out of sight of anyone who visited the arrival booth, which was mostly empty at this time of day anyway.

Lisa followed suit – not wanting to lose whatever progress she’d already made with Jennie, if there was any at all.

Which she wasn’t sure of when she saw Jennie’s still unchanged stoic facial expression, so Lisa tried again.

“Did I do stupid, Jennie? Please tell.”

It took another good minute before the older girl finally opened her mouth, only to close it again a second later – shaking her head instead.

“But… why, Jennie? Why not talk to me or look me? I understand...”

“I don’t understand.”, Jennie corrected and Lisa nodded as if she already knew that she mispronounced.

“I don’t understand.”, she repeated eagerly.

“Yeah, I don’t understand either.”, Jennie mumbled to herself before gulping down the lump that was forming in her throat.

“Is Mina? What she say?”, Lisa suddenly asked – making the girl in front of her look up at her with a frown.

“Do you know what it means, Lisa? What she said?”

Lisa bit her lower lip – her eyes searching Jennie’s feline ones’ once again.

“No.”

“She said ‘Go get a room’. Which means as much as: go somewhere else to cuddle or kiss or… whatever.”

“And?”, Lisa asked as nonchalant as one could and Jennie almost wanted to burst out laughing.

Yes. And? That was actually the perfect question. But somehow their fellow trainees didn’t seem to think along those lines – what with their hawk eyes and stupid questions each time Lisa came within two meters of her.

“We’re friend, right?”, Lisa asked and the smaller girl didn’t have the strength to do anything else but nod.

“Sure we are.”

“So what’s problem?”

Jennie shook her head again. The sudden pain in her chest almost bringing her to her knees.

“No… No problem. There’s no problem.”

And then, as if in slow motion, Lisa took a step forward – into Jennie’s personal space – reaching out a hand to touch her cheek and the Korean girl couldn’t stop herself from closing her eyes at the contact.

It was only then that she noticed that she was crying and Lisa was trying to catch her tears.

“Don’t cry, Nini.”

Lisa sent her a tight-lipped smile.

“It’s okay.”

“No, it’s really not. It’s wrong.”, Jennie whimpered.

“What is?”, Lisa asked – confusion written all over her face.

And then it’s wiped away in a second when Jennie suddenly and without warning jumps forward – pulls Lisa by her collar and kisses her hard. On the lips. With her lips.
And Lisa swears her heart skips a beat or two or twelve at the sensation of Jennie kissing her like this.

She pulls away a bit too when Jennie takes a step back and the shocked expression Lisa finds on her face makes her panic a little bite too.
But before Jennie can even start falling into an anxiety attack – Lisa’s lips are on hers again, walking her backwards until her back hits a wall and then the younger girl’s tongue is in her mouth and Jennie’s mind goes blank – because…

holy shit.

09/2013 – Jennie & Lisa

She closed the door to the little hotel room, realizing how her hands were shaking and trying to hide them behind her back as she turned around – facing the girl who was standing beside the bed, looking equally as anxious.

“This is nice.”, the smaller one stated as she took in the room – eyes staying on the bed a second too long for Lisa not to notice.

“It’s really not.”, she shrugged whilst trying to wipe her sweaty hands on her jeans as quickly as possible.

“I couldn’t afford a fancier place. I’m sorry.”

“You don’t have to be sorry.”, Jennie immediately intervened – taking a few tentative steps towards the taller girl who was still standing by the door.
“I told you I’d help with the payment.”

“No way you are not!”, Lisa exclaimed in a rush – feeling her face grow hotter at the sudden outburst. Or maybe it was because Jennie was getting closer and closer and…

“Nervous?”

The words were barely a whisper, but the small girl was close enough for her to hear and Lisa had to gulp down hard by the slight seductive tone in her voice.

“No?”, she answered in the most unconvicting tone ever.

Jennie giggled her little trademark-giggle that was followed by her gummy smile and Lisas’ knees almost gave out underneath her at the sight.

“Lost your cool, Manoban?”, Jennie grinned as she pinched the taller girls’ cheeks and – to be honest – it took Lisa a few beats before she even realized what Jennie had said, because she was right there in front of her and this was really happening.

Once the older girls’ words not only reached her ears but her brain as well though, she was quick to change her facial expression into a challenging smirk as she pulled Jennie close and – in a swift move that had the other girl gasping for air – she reversed their positions, pushing Jennie up against the door.
Her hands found the smaller ones’ as she intertwined their fingers and held them above their heads – stepping as close to her as possible without their bodies actually touching yet.

Jennie suck in a sharp breath at the motion which made Lisa quirk an eyebrow at her.

“Sorry, did you say something just there?”, the younger one asked with a grin – which drew an eye roll from her counterpart.

“Don’t act so smug.”, Jennie retorted.

“You like it when I do that.”

“No, I don’t.”

“Well then maybe you’ll like it when I do this…”, Lisa started – slowly moving to place a soft kiss onto Jennies’ pulse point.

The goosebumps erupting all over the smaller girls’ neck were indication enough, but just to make sure, Lisa nibbed a little at Jennies’ earlobe which elicited a moan from the Korean.

Almost as if on instinct Lisa’s center began throbbing pleasantly at the sound and her right leg shot out to place itself between Jennies’ – her whole body moving closer until they were both pressed up against each other.

“I…”, Jennie panted – trying to catch her breath, which was almost an impossible task with Lisa’s’ tight moving against her core. “I do… like it but…”
She wiggled with her hands, signaling Lisa that she wanted her hands freed – which the taller girl allowed immediately, and the Jennie’s hands were all over her within seconds, setting every inch of Lisa’s skin on fire.

It took her entire willpower and inner strength to not just have her way with Jennie right then and there – against the hotel room door, so instead she steadied herself before lifting the smaller girl up and carrying her over to the bed where she crouched down until Jennie’s bottom was on the bed and she found herself kneeling on the floor – in between Jennie’s legs.

They stared at each other for a moment before Jennie surged forward – her lips attacking Lisa’s as though she would starve without them.

They parted only when the lack of oxygen made their lungs burn – forcing them apart.

Jennie’s heavy beathing did absolutely nothing to help the wetness pooling between Lisa’s legs and she had to close her eyes momentarily to try to collect her thoughts.

When a small hand found the back of her neck, forcing her to look up into full blown dark pupils she was also met with something she couldn’t quite place but then realized lived inside her as well.

So, she covered Jennie’s hand with her own and gave her a reassuring kiss on the lips.

“It’s just…. The first time.”, Jennie whispered as Lisa rested her forehead against the other girls’ and nodded slightly.

“I know, Nini… Me too.” Another soft kiss. “Just say the word and we’ll stop, okay?”

Jennie’s laugh, as well as her answer wasn’t something the younger girl would’ve ever really expected, so a rather baffled expression was all she could return after Jennie said:

“Lisa. I’ve wanted to be with you like this ever since we kissed in the arrival’s booth all those months ago. Please believe me, I’ll never want to stop once we really started this. I’ll just want more and more and more and…”

And then her face was buried in Lisa’s neck and mumbled words transformed into moans and sights.

09/2013 – Chaeyoung

“Ugh, I ate way too much…”, Chaeyoung groaned as she let herself fall face first onto her mattress.

Lisa snickered – trailing into the room behind her friend and taking a seat beside her on the bed.

The black-haired girl groaned as she rolled over – one of her hands quickly disappearing underneath the big green pillow propped up against the beds’ headrest, pulling out a box of ‘Orion choco pies’.

“Oh look.”, she exclaimed happily. “More food!”

She wiggled her head in excitement as she opened the box in lightning speed – ignoring the incredulous look from Lisa and instead offering her a piece by holding out the box to her.

“No thanks.”, the Thai girl more or less mumbled – slowly but surely lowering herself into the cushion behind her.

Chaeyoung looked at her mildly offended – a frown appearing on her forehead.

“But… you like these. And you almost ate nothing at dinner as well.”, she explained – as if Lisa didn’t know that herself.

“Not hungry I guess.”

“You guess?”, Chaeyoung asked bewildered – reaching forward to put the backside of her hand against Lisa’s temple, but the younger girl was quick to swat her hand away.

“I’m not sick, dummy.”, she explained – trying to convince her friend, and failing miserably.

“Are you sure? Yesterday you didn’t wanna cuddle and everybody knows you’re the worlds’ biggest cuddler and then today you’re not eating properly and being all weird and shit--.”

“I’m not weird.”, Lisa defended herself – before softly adding: “Not more than usual, anyway.”

Her friend puffed out some air though her mouth loudly, searching Lisa’s face for a clue.

“Lies. Ever since you and Jennie came late to practice yesterday morning, you were---.”
She stopped mid-sentence when she caught the Thai wincing slightly at the mention of their mutual friend.

Her clue. There it was.

“Okay, so this is about Jennie?”, Chaeyoung asked – slightly confused but nonetheless eager to get behind this mystery.

Lisa just averted her eyes though – looking anywhere but at the girl beside her, locking her jaw – a clear indication that she put her walls up.

“Hmm…”, Chaeyoung hummed – understanding rather quickly that this was a serious moment with Lisa closing up so fast.

“Do you not wanna talk about it at all or is it just like… too hard to do it with your own words?”, she therefore asked lightly – not wanting to put any more pressure on her friend.

The brown-haired sent her an uncertain look and shrugged.

“I don’t know.”, she whispered as her eyes closed shut almost as if she were in pain.

“Okay.”, Chaeyoung breathed. “So how about I ask you some questions and all you have to do is blink if the answer is yes. Okay?”

A few seconds passed before Lisa looked up at her and then, very slowly, blinked.

The older girl sat up in a swift motion before lowering her gaze onto her friend, giving her a loving smile.
She could see it. By the way Lisa’s shoulders were tense and her nostrils started to show a glint of sweat, that she was truly anxious about whatever was going on.

Chaeyoung had a strong hunch, but she didn’t want to just assume things.

“So… let’s start with an easy question. Is whatever’s going on the reason that you’re not eating properly today?”

She watched as Lisa drew in a deep breath through her nose – probably preparing herself for this interrogation, before she blinked once.

“Okay. And is it also the reason you didn’t wanna cuddle me yesterday?”

Blink again.

Chaeyoung almost had to suppress a little grin and she was actually relieved that Lisa still wasn’t looking at her then. It faded quickly though when she realized that the other girl was still sporting a pained expression on her face.

“Did something happen with Jennie?”

She watched Lisa closely when asking that and sure enough Lisa bit her lower lip before she blinked once again.

Chaeyoung was quick to follow up with her questioning – afraid that Lisa might stop her soon.

“Was what happened with Jennie the reason you were both late for rehearsals this morning?”

Another blink.

“So it wasn’t a coincidence that you both took your free pass yesterday?”

Lisa gulped. And then blinked.

“Were you two together last night?”

It took a little longer for the younger girl to blink this time – but when she did, Chaeyoung sensed that she was getting closer to the root cause of the problem.
So she chose her next words carefully – speaking them in a slow but steady voice.

“Did you and Jennie… did you kiss?”

Lisa’s eyes fluttered close at that and Chaeyoung almost wanted to take back the question – but then hazel orbs were suddenly staring into her eyes and the unspoken words she found in them made her heart speed up a little.

“Did you…” She stopped – not able to hold back a smile any longer. Lisa just kept looking at her intently, still not blinking at all.

“Did you do more than that?”

It took her 5 full seconds – yes, Chaeyoung counted – to finally blink and the dark haired girl couldn’t stop herself from squealing.

“Oh my gosh.”, she beamed – teasing out a small smile from Lisa that emerged into full blown laughter for the better of a few moments before her face fell again and worry took over Chaeyoungs’ insides.

“Something’s wrong.”, she stated more than asked but Lisa still blinked at her once – making her friends heart grow heavy at the sight.

“But…” Chaeyoung started, eyes locking with Lisa’s once more. “I don’t understand. I mean… You like her...”

It was swift and hadn’t the older girl been so observant she would’ve probably missed it – how Lisa shook her head ever so slightly.

“What?”, Chaeyoung uttered perplexed. “But you--.”

She stopped mid-sentence when she saw Lisa’s big eyes watering.

That was all it took for her to finally get it.

“You don’t just like her.”, she verbalized gently.

“You love her.”

Blink.

01/2015 - Jisoo

The room was dead silent for a few nerve-wracking seconds before Jisoo finally spoke up.
Despite everything, her voice didn’t waver even the slightest when she did.

“So, I was the only one who didn’t know about this then?”

Her otherwise always smiling eyes squinted slightly as she fixed the other three girls one by one with a look. A look filled with an emotion that the others had hardly gotten to see from her until now.
Hurt.

Jennie was the first to jump back to her senses and before Chaeyoung could even open her mouth she had untangled her fingers from Lisa’s – flailing her hands aimlessly in front of herself whilst speaking.

“No. No it’s not like that, Chu. Please believe me, we would never--.”
“Oh, you would never?”, Jisoo interrupted her – voice suddenly increasing in volume as she rose both of her eyebrows and glared at the fellow Korean.
“But you already did, didn’t you Jen? Because that’s why we’re here, right? To tell me – as the last person.”

She stood – just in time to point a warning finger at Lisa who looked like she wanted to answer her.
“Those were rhetorical questions, Manoban.”

Her gaze lowered a little bit, before setting on Chaeyoung who looked everywhere but at Jisoo’s face.

“How long did you know?”, the older girl asked – jaw set and arms crossed in front of her, ready to take the expected low blow.

When a pair of dark brown apologetic eyes met hers, Jisoo only nodded defeatedly.

“Right.”, she huffed – shoulders slumping. “Okay.”

She gulped and reached for her jacket on the couch, almost as if in slow-motion – before heading for the dorms’ front door.

It was dead silent in the room again when she turned around – fingers already closed around the door handle – finding that both, Jennie and Lisa had gotten up from their seats and anxious looks had taken over their facial expressions.

“Just for the record.”, Jisoo stated in their direction. “I’m really happy for you.”

02/2019 – Jisoo & Rosé

“Dear God, get a room!”, Jisoo snorted as she threw a pack of banana-chips at Lisa who was momentarily taken aback as she stopped kissing her girlfriends’ lips to glare at their friend.

“We’re literally in one, eonni. This is… You just barged into our room, for fucks sake.”, Lisa snapped.

“Babe. Language.”, Jennie said emphatically, patting the taller girls’ behind – making Lisa move off of her with a loud groan.

“Yeah yeah, no need to get all cranky just because you have to cut your make out session short today. It’s bandmates-movie-night and not girlfriend-snogging-day.”, Jisoo explained plainly as she positioned herself at Jennie and Lisa’s feet – facing the flatscreen.

“Every day is girlfriend-snogging-day, I’ll let you know.”, Lisa interjected with a cheeky grin and stuck out her tongue at the older one – resulting in a pillow hitting her face full force.

“Thanks. We’ve been known!”

“Kids, please stop fighting.”, Rosés’ voice rang out from outside the door before she appeared not a second later – hands full of snacks.

“It was Lisa. She started it.”, Jisoo pouted before stealing a bag of Lays’ chips from the blonde.

“Liar! That’s not true at all. She came in all bitchy just because we were kissing a little and--.”

“A little my ass, you were practically dry humping each other.”

“Oh God.”, Jennie whined.

“Thanks, really didn’t need that image in my head.”, Rosé cringed as she jumped on the bed beside Jisoo.

“Then maybe don’t imagine it, perv.”, the oldest snarled before throwing a chip at Rosés’ head – not hitting the target at all.

“Oi, don’t waste my food, Jisoo Kim!”

“Don’t come at me, Park Chaeyoung. You don’t get to food-waste-me after what you did to that poor avocado yesterday.”

“No idea what you’re talking about, but since we’re talking about food-issues…”

Jennie was watching their friends argue like it was a tennis match – her head moving with every word spat, but the fun was being interrupted when she felt a warm hand pressed against her lower back and then a whisper in her ear asking:
“You think they’ll notice if we kissed a little as long as they’re fighting?”

They didn’t.
