Chapter Text
After disastrous events, the breakup was a long-awaited consequence.
Bloom and Sky long ago met and fell in love, so young and so full of expectations for the future. Despite some fights now and then, and even with the differences between them, the two always knew how to solve what they felt and, at the end of each day, they knew that the feelings between them were very strong and true.
Unfortunately, with Sky estranged, immersed in his priorities as the future king of Eraklyon, the relationship began to turn cold, stagnant, and cause for sadness. What was once happiness and welcome, became something empty and meaningless.
When Bloom decided to end the engagement, after years of fighting for that love, it was as if her heart broke into a thousand pieces, but she knew she needed to think more about herself.
She and Sky argued, then calmed down and had a difficult conversation. So, the two agreed that it was best for each to go their own way, before they ended up hurting even more.
Even if it was the best thing for both of them, it still hurt, every day. When she remembered the late night talking, the promises, the plans and everything they wanted to achieve together... her heart aches and she knows it will take some time for this wound to heal.
She shakes her head, ridding herself of those thoughts before they make her cry again.
"Bloom? Are you okay?" Flora's voice brings her back, reminding her that they had a goal to accomplish that day.
"I am. Just thinking hard again," the redhead replies, smiling gently at her friend. "Where are the others?"
Flora smiles excitedly.
"Miele led them ahead. I said I'd come get you," she says, flustered. "Are you sure you're okay? If you want we can postpone it to another day."
"No, it's fine," Bloom shakes her head. "We've been planning this for days. We can't lose."
It turns out that Flora and Miele planned to take the rest of the Winx to the Flower Forest, where they used to have picnics and parties with the region's animals. It was a place that hid exotic and unknown types of flowers, beautiful to look at and fun for a quick adventure.
Since the Winx arrived in Linphea, Flora has been trying to cheer them up, although she herself isn't coping well with her breakup with Helia.
"Okay, so let's go," Flora pulled her friend, the two of them running through the soft green grass. "If we run, we catch up to them."
Bloom greatly appreciated the strength that Flora displayed, even when everything seemed to be falling apart.
She just hoped that everything would be okay. Flora deserved only happiness, as did Bloom herself and also Stella, Musa, Aisha and Tecna.
Unfortunately, something inside her says things are only going to get worse. And the worst part of bad times is that everything can get worse.
